2-1 Australia, its in England, our batting lineup is shaky (except for our 2 world class batsmen) but so is theirs, our fielding is much better and even with Harris' retirement our bowling is also much better

Yeah but Anderson in English conditions should be more than enough to make this competitive. The way Australia win for me is whether you bat is out of the games, other than that it will be stupidly close.

Wow GTR please! He is just our latest line of players trying to replace Strauss who we have not replaced xD He has scored one 100 this season and that was vs New Zealand end of May (29th) before making less than 100 in his next 4-6 innings or how many ever in 1st class games. He will be the free wicket at the top of the order easily.

and as you typed that lyth plays along the ball and knicks it to warner.

Indeed, he is the free wicket because England just cant find a batsman and stick with him. My choice would be to stick Hayles there and tell him to be aggressive as hell (aka Gilchrist/Hayden esc) and go from there.

In all seriousness, can you explain the reasoning behind why England isn't playing a proper spinner like Rashid? I like Ali but from what I've watched hes clearly a batsman who can spin as opposed to being a genuine all rounder, let alone a front line bowler. Surely you want a spinner who can take wickets in these conditions? (As Lyon just proved)

good thing they stabilized after losing bell. i reckon if they can go through this session without losing a wicket they are definitely back in the game.
root will need to make a big knock.
