How stupid of a trainer do you have to be to disregard a player of Müller's calibre?

How stupid of a trainer do you have to be to disregard a player of Müller's calibre? Pretty straightforward. Wanted to use Muller as a fresh player against what would have been a tiring and less physical defense, ergo an impact player of the bench rather than get kicked around for 90 minutes. Doesnt always work. Doesnt have to. I personally dont agree with it but I get the logic behind it. If anything thats more faith in a player of Mullers calibre believing that he can help break Atleti D in less time but perhaps having better tools at his disposal. It didnt work, happens. A guy dodging the entire team and scoring by himself doesnt really help look any strategy or tactics look good. You know it wouldnt hurt people to put some thought into why people do certain things instead of just assuming the worst and shitting on them.

I do understand the thought process behind this or at least i think i do. Do it all the time in FIFA ^-^. But Coman/ Costa wasn't working, neither was Thiago. He should've reacted sooner is all I'm sayin. Euro League: Sevilla seems to have this and will probably win convincingly. Villareal... dunno. I can see Liverpool win this 2:0. Maybe even in Overtime

They are normally defensively sound and got undone by a counter attack and some defensive mistake in Rakitskiy who is normally there best defender, he literally just ran away from Vitolo and gave him so much space 1on1 with the keeper TT Then they got a lucky penalty Sevilla after Shakthar got one denied for a handball stopping a goal basically. Oh well they can still overcome that i think but will need to play at 100% if not Sevilla will go through. Liverpool all be it from 30 seconds of retardness at the end were well on there way to a comfortable 0-0 after playing with a pretty much weakened team. I see them scoring 2 goals minimum at home, whether they will need a 3rd or more if they concede im not sure but i can see them scoring twice easily enough.

Shakhtar was closer to loss, second half Sevilla was way more stronger in every aspect, considering calendar, I would say that Sevilla goes to finals more likely.

Tonight, I hope Bayern can win but it's going to be tough. If Atletico scores one, it's going to be almost impossible. Not that Bayern can't score 3, but against that team... We know that Atletico can raise their block and pressure a lot for 15-20mn; they managed to score both games against Barça and the first leg against Bayern in these first 20 minutes, to then go back to defending. But here I can see Bayern putting the pressure from the 1st minute, so maybe Atletico will keep their energy for the end of the first half/beginning of the second. Let's see if Simeone gives another "tactical lesson" by scoring on their only opportunity :p While Luis Enrique didn't have any solution to play with more than 3 forwards, Guardiola has a lot of choices, it'll be interesting to see if he starts with a 3-3-4 or something even more risky just to asphyxiate Atletico. Neuer Boateng Martinez Lahm Vidal Alaba Thiago Costa Müller Ribery Lewandowski I guess we'll see something like this? With the possibility to remove one defender to put Coman if they really need to score around the end of the game :D Hopes: 3-1 Prediction: 2-1

Thiago out, Xabi to bring a big more stability, not a bad choice I think. Also, Thiago + Coman against a tired Atletico could hurt. Now let's hope they don't concede 2 headers in 20 minutes...

Impressive start from Bayern, peppering the box with crosses, very un-pep like though but it could work. Great from Bayern so far, need a goal for there hardwork though. Atletico still happy so far.
