This is so dumb, you fight for a fake belt that only one person can win, lol.
I can already see the valuation of the company going down and down. Day by day I want to watch the UFC burn, these strings of decisions are the decisions that people I absolutely despise would make.
I hope you guys go out of your way to not buy this PPV, and just find one of the many 480p+ streams that you can find online for free. The stuff that UFC has been doing has been hurting me so much inside as a fight fan.
hey man, you can sit 3 rows from the cage... on the floor .. for $375 Canadian. Those seats were $950 two weeks ago. the prices are falling like a rock. If i can get within 10 rows of the cage for less than $200 Canadian i'm going.
as a Fight Night Card its not bad. good luck to the UFC trying to get people to pay $60 USD for it though.

@fiwi at least go to a bar or something and support a local business then
Bars have to pay like $2,000 to stream UFC, so if people go to the bars, UFC are getting money either way. I think like 1/3rd of UFC PPV revenue comes from commercial sources. I'll support local business by having 5 friends over (if they stop being hella flakey), and ordering pizza and beer from a family owned company.
I think the fights are fine, I'm just wanting to boycott the decisions that the UFC have been making.

I'd do the same, though I'd probably go if the tickets were $150-$175. Not sure when the next UFC card will come to Calgary though after the failure last time.

zero champions. 1 former champion who shouldn't even be in the weight class of the guy he is fighting and is on the 3 fight losing streak in the weight class he should be in. "great"? compared to a guy walking down the street sure they are great fighters. compared to the UFC's current roster these are not great fighters. they may display great heart and courage tomorrow night though.... and that's what i'll be paying ~$200 to see.
Luke's positive analysis is now moot though. the Pettis/Holloway thing is not @ featherweight. this is not a $60 PPV card and the consumers will inform the UFC that is not a $60 card tomorrow. Overall , i think Luke is right though it will be entertaining; i'm more than willing to pay to see this card at "Fox Fight Night" level prices. The nano-second i can get a pair for $400 CDN or less in the first 10 rows i'm buyin'. Originally the UFC wanted $2000 CDN for them. I guess "Dynamic Pricing" can cut both ways as we've seen in New York and Toronto.
Dana White did a pretty decent interview today on Canada's version of ESPN SportsCenter.
They are great fighters when it comes to putting on entertaining fights. I 100% will be getting this card on PPV. I actually think it will be a great litmus test for the UFC to how many fight fans vs hype fans there are. I'm sure a lot more of the later. You look at a guy like Floyd in boxing he rarely put on a good show and yet sold shit tons cause he was a great villain on the mic.
