The only thing logical explanation that I can think of is that Shanahan sees something in him like he saw something in Cousins when drafting him. At least there's no rush to put Beathard on the field when we have Hoyer the Destroyer at the helm. | ||

This was a questionable QB class, and Beathard was one of the few available QBs to play in a pro-style system. I don't doubt that the Niners suspected that someone else may have wanted him. Overall, I'm happy with what the Niners did. I think several of the picks were excellent. And regardless of how the picks pan out, Lynch definitely had a plan and executed it. He looked like a competent GM. There were a lot of really questionable picks during the Baalke years (especially all of those retarded redshirt picks that effectively hollowed out the team). I'm glad to see none of that shit this year. | ||
