We all know how this goes. If you have 50 attempts and it goes to pens the other team is gonna win. GG England.

Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win." Maybe we should switch to "and at the end, English always disappoint Pandemona"

Oh well, we messed up not winning inside the 90 and looked very dead after 65th minute. Tough English season ruining it again xD

Yeah that rule change about only captain talking to ref can't come soon enough. Already looking forward for people getting carded for arguing against VAR decisions.

Now now, 30 plus games in a league which has 3 weeks break and 20 less games a season due to it being a small league! Outside of playing vs Dortmund or Bayern there is not much quality oh and i guess red bull are pretty strong this year

English lkeague level is laughable recently even comparing to Bundesliga and even to Serie A.

Its only the Europa league but Yanited won that at a canter and finished a mere 6th domestically? Where was the representation from Bundesliga?

German teams consistently represent in higher numbers than English teams in the past several years. Our coefficient has been better overall over the past how many seasons as well. English quality is just a media hype train that they won't let go of. The only thing that makes German teams not look competitive is 1) Bayern's dominance and 2) the fact that there's more parity in Germany and the teams that reach Europe are different each year.

He didn't really well at Ajax. 4 league wins in 6 seasons while we hadn't won the league for ages before that. Good question, I think it's a feeling a lot of Ajax fans share, but it's hard to put a finger on it. Technically, he's fine, and the way he added lots of younger players into the team was great - but even though he won the league 4 times in a row, it never felt like Ajax were playing that great. They profited from the lack of competition, as they scored about the same amount of points as the seasons before De Boer. The way they lost the league in '16 was pathetic, de Boer was criticised for his substitutions and the team looked extremely uninspired in the last match of the season. I also think De Boer had a hard time dealing with superstar players (or players with an attitude). This is okay at Ajax, where players can be rotated (Hamdaoui) and everyone is a cog in the machine, but at Inter, he had problems with a few players as well. With England being the home of a lot of big name players, this is only going to be harder for him. Also, motivating players is probably not his greatest strength. But hey, I shouldn't be too negative. Even though Palace atm play about the opposite playstyle of what De Boer is aiming for, they aren't expected to do great things in the first season, so he'll have some time to get the team going.
