i think he is ur basic spoiled brat only child that grew into a responsible adult... u can still see remnants of that spoiled brat only child in some of his behaviours if u look really hard.
the guy's alright.

He was the king of subtweets and passive aggressive behavior less than 9 months ago. Cleveland is just the perfect embodiment of winning curing all ills.

Well considering he has been considered a god since he was like 8 years old he seems to have turned out all right. There is a lot worse examples of stardom ruining people and he had from a super young age.
|
if that's his only real flaw.. we're doing ok. the Pistons just made up reasons to hate Jordan.
the best gets hated for being the best; any flaws they have get magnified 1000 fold. now if Lebron mysteriously takes a 2 year vacation to play double A baseball... well maybe there is some character flaws in the guy that warrant serious discussion. i don't think that will ever happen though.
i'm an only child and i got the same kind of "primadonna" label until i was about 21...and ive seen other only children get it too. its the result of being the absolute, 100% center of your mom's universe throughout your entire childhood. its like being a momma's boy on a whole new level.
lebron's an only child mommy's boy. he ain't no criminal.
so LBJ flops? meh... look at the 7 basic ballet movements draymond has mastered so that he can claim his testicle punches are natural movements.

I would in no way dispute the notion that Lebron's character flaws are minor. The issue I have is we are entering the age of the Lebron hyper-circlejerk. Part of it is because his social stands that the media largely agree with and love, part of it is narrative reasons, etc. But here is what is happening, the new "cool" thing to do is tear down Jordan for punching teammates, being a jerk, etc (all true), then call Lebron a "great teammate", "leader", "business innovator" etc. These things are just false, his game is a great team game because hes an amazing passer, that doesn't mean that is his personality is that of a great teammate.
I doubt any great player really is a great teammate (Peyton Manning threw his o-line under the Bus in 2005, Brady would be as insufferable as Kobe if his team ever was as bad as the Colts are this year, etc), so its not a specific critique of Lebron, who is a great player. But it does seem like he gets to have his cake and eat it too these days. I mean, seriously he's playing the victim on this? I don't remember the Maverick Carter- Rich Paul talent agency buying the UFC recently, etc.
Klutch has $317m in contracts under management. 182 Million of that is just Lebron and TT. JayZ's joke agency is more than double that.

Lebron is an ok guy, which makes his deflection bizarre. We all know he's meddlesome and wants things his way, so just own up to it and own it.
I think he also has some 'tortured genius' aspects to his personality. He's really too smart for his own good. He's not vain or egocentric enough to be the perfect basketball player.

haha. homeless eh? i read someplace he didn't eat for 6 months either. otherwise he'd be 9 feet tall and weigh 575 lbs. in the 1980s in the USA homeless children are removed from the care of their homeless parents and placed in a foster home.

When James was about five years old, he and his mother moved seven times in a year. For a couple of years during elementary school, James lived with a foster family. in the 1980s and 1990s in Ohio when someone under 13 is "homeless for large portions of their childhood" they were stuck in a foster home. ask any social worker over 55 years old. contact child protective services in Canton or Columbus or some other place in Ohio.
i'm discussing the 1980s and 1990s in Ohio. this does not cover that time period or that state. specifically we're talking before 1997. the other poster is not claiming LBJ was homeless after age 13.
The other poster stated LBJ had a stable home once he hit his "early teens"; we are discussing LBJs homeless status from age 0 to 12. this "homeless teens" are not what is being discussed. and even with this in order to keep the stats nice and high they call 1 night not sleeping at home a "period of homelessness".
let's bring this back to LBJ. He did not spend "large portions of his childhood homeless". The other posters statement is incorrect. Your source confirms this.
