Yes they reacted to fast because if they didn't they would be in shit for waiting. Now that they didn't react to Zeke based on the rumors they are assholes for that. Teams get in shit regard less and as the next poster said its odd how the NFL suspends people for shit that the law is not going to go for when no where else does that happen. Not movies. Not even police officers judges and lawyers or even politicians.

Try "Should a prominent public organization make sure that its chosen pretext for firing a player is true before firing said player?" As long as your not the same guy complaining about how long it takes for teams to react thats a fine opinion. Sadly its lose lose for the franchise's

Except he didn't even hit his Girlfriend, literally grabbed her by the arms to stop her from hitting him according to most witnesses. They even have the texts she sent her friend asking her to lie to the cops about what happened to say he was hitting her. Which is why he never had charges pressed against him, because all the evidence against was garbage and/or made up. Zeke with no evidence against, no charges pressed, evidence actually supporting his innocence gets 6 games initially Ray Rice gets 4 games with video evidence initially Josh Brown admits to abusing his spouse gets 1 game initially The other two ended up with harsher penalties after huge outcry and we will see what happens with the appeal for Zeke. But seriously 6 games is fucking ridiculous in this case. Big fine and 1-2 games at most even then, he was cleared as innocent by the police already, shouldn't really have any suspension imo.

also I heard my boy Smelter drew a DPI. 0 catches but godlike penalty fishing. he should make the final 53 for that. straight out of the Torrey Smith playbook also TIL Matt Barkley is on the 49ers now

Thompson alleges several physical incidents. did any of them happen? who knows. what is hilarious is.. did Thompson even live with Elliott? if a guy just randomly punches some random girl in the face its not DV. Doesn't the NFL have to prove she lived with him? It'll be interesting to see if Elliott's team attacks the NFL on this point.

The NFL's problem is they had Policy 1 (the Ray Rice policy) and got protested for it, and they gave in, a bit. Then they had the next controversy and gave in, blah blah. But they never defined what they thought was reasonable, until the CBA negotiation where they defined a reasonable suspension (6 games) but didn't define what conduct would be part of that. Failure to define conduct that is part of the policy means they are still afraid of activists, which is a bad place to be.
