He's notoriously cheap with his money. On September 13 2017 02:48 farvacola wrote: I'm convinced everyone in charge at ESPN has literally no idea how to do anything. That's why I said that he has better things to do with his money. He's very cheap when it comes to spending on himself but is willing to give his money to charity. I view boosters donating huge sums of money to their alma mater's football team as more for bragging rights than charity. It's more similar to buying new bling compared to donating to the med school. Just doesn't seem to be a Warren Buffett thing to do.

So is Marvin Lewis trying to get fired in the first third of the season?
|
Andy Dalton has made some incredibly atrocious throws, he looks to have outrun his luck.

what's kind of funny is in the reddit rng season predictor thread it picked the Bengals to start out like 0-9 or something
|
Don't the Bengals have to fire Marvin if they lose tonight? What bigger sign of a team quitting on its coach would you need?
|
Well Dalton has always been the same guy just surrounded by one of the best o-line and receivers, oline isn't what it used to be the last 2 years.
|
That is always the problem with so-called "franchise" qbs. When they make over $5 mil and you go 8-8+ for a few seasons your roster deteriorates and it becomes really hard to win unless that guy can compete with Manning, Rodgers, Brady

Reed being the shade of himself, roster plagued with little injuries here and there, cousins seems to have no alchemy with his players... On the other hand, rams got pretty good momentum although it was an easy game, I've some doubts seeing the skins winning here

hope i dont regret switching out Miller last minute. guy scored higher than projected.
sigh... too early in the season to start stressing about these things.

That was such an awful game last night. Dalton looked atrocious and Houston only won because of one big play by Watson that should have been a tackle. Wanted Cinci to win to keep Houston in the AFCS dumpster but they just look baddddd.

If eifert didnt randomly step out of bounds with no one close to him they likey would have!

Jacoby Brissett confirmed starting for the Colts on Sunday, which indicates that the Colts have zero faith in Tolzien to hand over the starting job to a guy who has been on the team less than two weeks.
Slice me off a piece of that Jake Brisket. Hopefully he does well, as a Pats fan I really liked what I saw from him, he has potential.

Rivers, Wilson (I'm not arguing semantics, he played 3 years there and his introduction acknowledges NCST and Wisconsin, Glennon, and Brissett
another school where talent goes to get wasted. Although Rivers did get them one 11 win season and a final ranking

That is crazy. While I like some of the stuff Brisset did, I'm cautiously optimistic about his effectiveness in the NFL. We'll see how it goes though.

I think in a run-and-gun offense similar to TEN/SEA he might be okay, the NE offense wasn't really down his alley. We'll see, he has had like 12 days to learn the playbook and his 4th quarter appearance last week was far superior than all of Tolzien that game. Not to say they wont be a bottom 5 team though.

While I think Brissett is going to start, it should probably be mentioned that he has not actually been named starter by The Colts. So far it's "just" "sources" stating it.
