Ouch to those of you that picked him ;( Also, sucks hard for Valverde. Having eaten it hard quite recently I know how shitty bad injuries feel, and I can only imagine how much worse it is when you are having one of the best seasons in recent memory and then BAM it ends before you even get started. There are quite a few punchy stages that would have suited Valverde REALLLLLL nice. Gonna be a shitty next few days for him Not good for Quintana either.

Man, he's been really mistiming his sprints so far, glad it worked out for him today though (so much power that even with an accidental pedal unclip and bad run in he managed to take it).

Got caught out at the front bad, which is unusual for him. Way better than everybody else today, lost the clip in when he was ready to respond to Avermaet's acceleration with 200 to go and still blew everyone out.

Yeah, found himself first in the bunch with 375m to go, thinking what to do yesterday. Today, he also found himself at the front with 375m to go, and started his sprint with 225m~ to go with nobody in front of him, very very impressive.
