pochettino is called a good manager because he really improved tottenham. People are saying Arsene has lost it because his Arsenal hasn't been able to keep up with other teams - they have become relatively worse. And this despite Arsenal having had more resources to their disposal than Tottenham.

Arsene came into Arsenal a well established club, took them to new heights with football being played and invicibles (at the top) ever since they have gotten worst and worst and worst, every year it is a new low, something worst than the previous year.
Poch came into Spurs with them being a top 6 team, struggling in the middle of thetable with the top out of reach, now all of a sudden they have found a place in the top 4 competing with all the teams, even Man City this year, last year they competed with Chelsea etc. He has also done this whilst spending little too.
Spurs don't need to win anything to be succesfful, Poch will only be judged if he joins a top club having targets to win things. Conte said it last season / this season, Poch doesn't get criticized when his team loses a big game or a cup because they aren't supposed to be competing / a target for them.
Would poch succeed at Yanited/Real Madrid level club, who knows, but then you can judge him on failing to win trophies.

Again I am talking about 10 years ago...

10 years ago arsenal had already gone from team that wins premier league to team that gets top 4.. Arsenal moved from being best in PL to being a top 4 team = manager gets blamed. Tottenham goes from being top 6 to being top 3 = manager gets credit. There's nothing weird about this.

Sharkie had been a troll since forever. Why still respond to him.

Because most of the regular users of this thread are trolls including the overlord. And you'd probably get bored talking Rosenborg with Drone during the long winter break.

I wouldnt mind talking about Rosenborg :O. They were kinda like Basel is now for the longest time.

the norwegian league just started again. rosenborg is 0-1-1 after 2 games. lost away vs top competitor round 1, 2-2 draw at home vs one of the weakest teams in round 2. sad.

ok I dont want to talk about Rosenborg anymore

Wait what Basel qualified for Ro16 of the CL and beat Bayern in the 1st leg, when did Rosenborg even come close to that :s

during the 90s. we qualified for champions league 8 years in a row. in 1996-97 we knocked out milan from the group stage after winning 2-1 away in the final game and got top 8 (this was during italy's golden era - I recall ferguson describing it as the most surprising result he had ever seen in professional football), we beat real madrid during group stage in 97-98 (they won CL that year, dropping no other games) , won our group in 1999-2000 (beat bundesliga champions dortmund 3-0 on away field!)
some of the best years had different setup (97-98 we got 11 points and second place in group with real madrid porto olympiakos, but still didn't qualify for next stage) and we only got top 8 once. And there are some fairly ugly losses on away field sprinkled into all of this. But Rosenborg during the 90s is one of the most amazing underdog stories in football imo. Absolutely brilliant manager, long continuity, some players that were good enough for the absolute top teams (Erik Hoftun and Ørjan Berg) who just .. didn't really feel like it.
In 2007-2008 we beat valencia both home and away in group stage, but still only got third. :D That's the best we've done since, sadly.

As for "BR racism", perhaps I misjudged the term but it was still (unmoderated, especially until I answered) a derogatory generalization of my country. And arent you from Pakistan, hows it much different than being calling a p***? Still both ad hominem, with you provoking it in the 1st place. I would refrain from taking issue with ad hominem, you literally have them every other sentence. If you do believe that those references are ad hominems 90 percent of your posting is pretty worthless the remaining 10 percent is conspiratorial rubbish If you dont know the difference between the terms or their usage then I would refrain from using them :p. Racism is bad, racism born of ignorance is worse. You dont need me to explain it to you, just use google. Brazil still bad at football, thats why all the good players leave for Europe. The only alternative reason for them leaving is Money? So Brazillian footballers so honor less that they are willing to play against cheaters just to get more money? I don't need 3 sentences when I already said that BR racism was misjudged in our context, but it was still your ad-hominem when all I did was talk about football. In other words, I didn't ad hominem you (or anyone here) until I was targeted by it, so I used it in self-defense.
Brazil still bad at football then why only we have the last gold medal (with the vast majority of the players playing here)? Why did Neymar win the cups when he was allowed to play until the end, and not cowardly karate high kicked in the back and not even given a foul by the disgusting corrupt referee?
All the good players? Not really, we have so many, but yea they do leave for farmers league with money (Asia, Europe, etc), after all it's a profession and it's not wrong to legitimately profit more from your work (which is different than the scum of the world profitting from shameless cheating).
Gremio players play in Brazil and they still played against cheaters? = your point invalid.

@Drone That's quite impressive and I had no idea. Then again my pre 2000 cl memories are the 99 final and 97 final and that's about it
@n1e that was 2012 Basel won 1-0 at home and then lost 0-7 in Munich

Yeah man, like Rosenborg was a standard fixture in CL all the time back then, and they were never pushovers. They didnt win alot but they rarely got dumpstered which happens to alot of smaller league teams now.
Thats why Basel was the best parallel I could come up with.

also now that Kane is out for a month, he's definitely got that Golden Boot in his pocket

Salah apologising to Watford's keeper for scoring 4 goals against him is so funny.
The FA cup this year is going to see a showdown between Spurs and Yanited. Both clubs desperate for a trophy. Should be quite a game. They both really neeed it for different reasons.
Palace's win yesterday was huge. Temporary out of the relegation zone and everyone around them struggling to get points they have a good chance of staying up.

Palace looked good even the games they were losing, they were playing top 5-6 teams recently and ran them close. They will be ok.

I have to agree with your sentiment. They look beter than the teams struggling around them.

Oh look we're up 2-0 after 20 minutes and I'm not watching in the stadium. Braunschweig should bribe me to not go to the games
