Its been three years and they are still adding features that were supposed to be in the game when it initially shipped. I'd imagine if enough people DONT buy the game then we might even see advanced features implemented, such as LAN. I'll still be rooting for my favorite players though

And that says a lot. | ||

I think Blizzard made some bad decisions even assuming their approach was correct - they weren't happy with how infestors played out - yet they made it too difficult for themselves by taking this approach to begin with. Instead of creating a game for one audience (competitive-rts fans) they made one for two different audiences and many issues with the game are a reflection of this.
As such, I don't think Blizzard will ever address any of this, they have admitted as much: "if you prefer brood war go play brood war, sc2 is a different game". I think they could have had it both ways if they had a different multiplayer experience which focused on custom games and other more casual game modes. They could have kept melee as a specialized, slightly underexposed game mode strictly for those of us that enjoy these sort of things. They even could have made separate gameplay rules for this, different interface or even different units and such.

As for multiplayer, I am sure its going to be fine, maybe not to everyones taste but it will have a clean professional feel with decent servers. I like to play in an online game that is active and has a decent userbase, what else would I play : CoD, LoL, no thanks... although I am still praying that some gaming devs from othercompanies will start knocking out some class rts games, really the genre is runing thin on releases in that last few years.
