(Blip.tv) am i the only one who cannot load this shit? oh yeah, make more normal daylies, imo those mondays were nice with queens and carrierst but started sucking. hell, i dont care about an 5678 player ffa where you have to fart at everyone in the alphabetical order of their colors. tuesdays are ok though i dont watch them. wednesdays are great, though you should focus more on, what should the other player have done? example greetorps tvp. you just said how bad greetorp was and made a lot of fun about it, but you completely left out the protoss.

Either it blocks off your nat so the usual ideal drone until you have to defend is extremely dangerous, or they can cut your army in half with many ff, or box their own armies in to counter zerglings. All these scenaries make sentries extremely dangerous early game and it would be nice to know a decent counter. I'm assuming some sort of Zergling and Roach composition that's often used to answer the pre-muta mid-game timing pushes that benefit from great sentry play. Measures I've seen top Zergs use in tournaments: -Bait, dodge, outmaneuver the Force Field. This relies on move speed (creep, upgrades), reflex, and a good read on your opponent. Generally getting to know when he can plant Force Fields and at what range help keep your army looming over his without being in front of his potential Force Field line. Imagine a territory projected from his sentries wherein limbs of your army can get trapped and decimated. Pay constant attention to your troops and do not commit until you can: -Engage in a superior arc, or in open terrain. The more spread out your army, and the more open the terrain, the more Force Fields are required to trap or impede them. Map awareness and good timing to start making troops to establish a map presence help create this situation. Try to never let them dictate the engagement by starting it right at your front door, which on many maps has a number of narrow passages to be exploited. In conjunction with the first habit, never, ever pursue a Protoss army through a choke point without thinking about it first. The narrower the choke, the easier it is for him to split the terrain with Force Field. An experienced Protoss wants to bait you away from favorable terrain as much as you should want to.

i'm watching your dailies since the first episode - and theres a thing i'm really missing nowadays in your casts - the focus on the minimap: in the beginning episodes you devoted much more time to enlarge the minimap and watch the whole match fastforward on the minimap and discussed a whole lot more the basic troop movement and positioning. in episode #211 you freaked out about stx regrouping and moving his army - which is defnitley inspiring and helpful - i'll never forget winning my first game - by largely pushing and expanding in the same direction. i also would like to thank you for the djwheat episode - which gave huge insight and enlightenment of a progamers view of playing - keep on mister thought hammer - ε/2

I'm not too much into the "theme" days, especially ones dealing with team games. At least give us 1v1 funday mondays again please. =)

Id love to see another BW cast one day, just for fun and so newer players can see what you mean when you make fun of dragoons etc or Some really "concrete" dailys with advice like, how to sim city your forge FE vs zerg on different maps, overlord scouting pattern on different maps, things like that. And not so much the "abstract, general" advice.

But I guess day9 isn't following the BW scene anymore at all, so it's very unlikely to happen.

The DJ wheat hand/eye daily was probably one of the most useful dailies ever. Right up there with the fundementals one in the 130s. This monday funday was pretty hilarious actually. ^__^ Coffee is supereffective! Also any chance of Dane as a guest? Maybe not the most educational but he sounds hilarious. Can't wait for Dallas!
