Deadliest catch anyone?
To the commentators, I think you still have some way to go tbh, but stay on it, if you look at the older videos for many of the other casters they weren't really that slick back in the day either.

pls not another pro replays commentating channel on youtube.
why there is no channel for non pro games, maybe from games in the platin/diamond league .. it would be so much more interesting. make an email account, let the people send you some replays. watch the replays and pick some interesting or good games and then commentate them. sure its more work - but its much better. one reason for that is, that the majority of the gamers learn much more from non pro games, because the players make more mistakes - and so you can point out that mistakes in your commentarys and talk about better solutions. i think many people would like that, and you would be more successful with that. another reason is, that there are a huge number of replays, which are very interesting to watch, and are still untouched from other commentators. i think the people dont wanna see a commentary between a match which they saw 3-4 times before from other commentators.
so, to sum up - in my eyes you would be much more successful with replays from non pro gamers.

Good luck to you! just make sure you can deal with the flak you will get, no matter how good you are.

I just watched Sen vs. TLO on Desert Oasis and TLO vs. WhiteRa and I didn't really like it. They're pretty much only paying attention to the army's, harrassment and just generally the action on the map and none at all to what's getting produced, what production building / tech is coming up and what the game plan for each player might be.
Also.. rocket turrets? Lol :D

I often prefere a womans voice, but in GomTV, i can't remember her name, but they had a female commentator for a short while. Perfect eyecandy, but she didn't contribute to the commentating. So i would love to see a professional, clever female commentator. Cleavage isn't all, SUIT UP!
Still, keep it going, you're doing great! =)
Why does a woman have to dress "properly" while Day9 can be chronically under dressed? Being professional in an e-sports environment could be different from being a professional in a traditional sports environment why not embrace that fact. Nobody is sitting in front of the computer all dressed up.

I always feel sorry for the girls getting into something like this for reasons you can already see in this thread. I hope you are able to ignore stuff like that and keep going. Thats the best way to make them stop anyways. Good luck I'm pretty sure that the girl being there is entirely a gimmick to get more viewers. If a girl actually wanted to commentate for the sake of commentating, "girl commentator" wouldn't be in the topic of the post. This is a little unfair, she clearly brings valuable assets to the commentary duo yeah i just hope this casting duo stays abreast of the SC2 patch changes.
lololol :D

Good luck guys i'll subscribe

Intresting with a duo commentary. I really like HD and Husky's duo commentary so ill check your vidoes out!

did you guys play broodwar on ICCUP? cuz if neither of you were good you could be Double D's. better name imo. less racist. currently your name is 2/3 racist.

HAHA! Maybe the Kitty could be the last 1/3?
I'll wait until you get better before I bother watching. Day9 and Husky + Live Streams are enough to keep my busy at work... oh yea and the actual work I'm suppose to do.

ahh I love TL
I justed watched kitty's first video. What was pretty bad imo is, since this video series is obviously for super noobs that have never played in multiplayer yet, that you didn't mention that Terran had pre-igniter upgrade. Imagine the poor noobie souls trying to copy this versus someone and then realising that they take 10x longer to kill those drones. They will think it's just cause they suck, lose confidence, stop playing SC2 and then, possibly, kill themselves.
|
Feel bad for Kitty already. It'll be so difficult for her to be respected. Maybe change your name from Kitty to something else like... Valkyrie?
I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Everyone is being too harsh.
It is people like you who made conaan quit commentating!
Only give polite criticism and positive compliments to let them prosper!!!!!!!
+ Show Spoiler +I miss Conaan's SC orgasms

Double D's. I see what you did there. Double D's indeed.

Take your time talking... very annoying to have someone blow through the commentating because they are nervous.. (understandable) but something to work on.
Otherwise, good job supporting the community ^_^

Always nice with new commentators Working atm, will watch the games when I get back! Hope you can withstand the stream of sexist comments btw...

I'll be sure to check you guys out! Thanks for posting =D And best of luck in the casting scene

In your basic SC videos you say attack click then move, attack click then move. You don't actually have to attack click. You can just move, press "s", then move again after the shot's been fired. Your units will automatically turn around and shoot. Especially for beginners this is much easier to do than attack, move and doesn't run the risk of moving towards your opponent's units.
EDIT: Also duo commentaries is more interesting than one person talking. I guess for the basic SC series it's short enough that two people wouldn't be necessary, but for the in-game commentaries or anything that's more than a minute or two long it'd be much more entertaining to have both people comment. HD and Husky are both fun to listen to, but if it's HDH the entertainment value is more than doubled.

Because that's just how it is. Any female in a massively male majority community is going to get bashed for whatever reason. Wearing "non-revealing" clothing would have at least prevented most of the comments in this thread from being cleavage jokes.
