Looks like a few more people are going to watch an interview of IdrA and realise he's a nice guy. It's really funny how people think IdrA is bm just because he get pissed when he loses games. Loads of gamers are like that, hell most of team Media is like that; doesn't mean anything. Then they actually watch an interview of him and they're like OMG IdrA is a just a normal guy, huuurrr how is this possible?!!?

And I think what REALLY makes collusux/stalker builds truly deadly are the forcefields and thermal lance. I mean, even if you have a bunch of corruptors and a maxed out hydra roach army, especially on maps with tiny chokes such as scrap, it just seems impossible to defend or attack a toss player who has great FFs. He cuts off your ground army with FF while the +9 range of his collusux picks off your hydras, and if you move in with your corruptors without your army then he just picks them off with stalkers.

anybody know what is the" CJ house" that Idra is referring to at the end of the interview? Do pro SC gamers in Korea all live in the same house and get all their stuff paid for or something? accommodation, food, computers, bills... etc. all paid for? if thats the case... omg... more reason to dedicate my life to SC2 and becoming a pro gamer lol

What he seems to dislike is people who are considered good and do well in tournaments by constantly doing all-ins and cheese builds, and can't compete in long macro games.

The intelligence with which he speaks about the game is truly remarkable. He's actually quite a good communicator, at least about the game itself, and it's so clear he thinks *alot* about it. His interviews, particularly of late, have been outstanding. I think, and he still is, as a kid, he's achieved a lot and I really respect how quickly he's had to grow up in a very alien place and with very little support. While his 'bm' or whatever is often criticised, I think his ability to not only survive over there but actually show some progress speaks a lot about his character. Anyway, I can't wait to see what else he can achieve.

All in all... I agree that "most" of the time HuK is an agressive player and will try to end the game now rather than to play a macro game... but eh! that's HuK and it's working for him. He will surely have to adapt one day but right now it's working. So... give him a break and cheese all in is a valid strategy even if you don't like it.

It was also pretty clear to me anyway that idra despite his raging and bm in some games really likes being challenged. You can tell by the way he spoke about his games with Huk and the game he won against Tester on Steppes. The way he spoke he simply wasn't enjoying those particular games. Compare it to the way he spoke about his games with TLO or QxC he was really excited about them. This guy has some respect from me, even if he comes off a bit self-righteous. It's pretty clear to me that he's playing sc2 for the right reasons (to be challenged by the best, and overcome those challenges) and that's what I like to see. Compared to some people who will cheese Every, Single, Game... And become good at nothing except cheese... And then have a cry when people don't respect them for their cheese. Sure you can win with cheese, but are you really playing to play good games then?

Seems like a cool guy. People make it seem like he's a 12 year old child or something.

I also agree he presents pretty well these days. And yeah Artosis you are doing a great job with these interviews, they are definitely improving in technical terms and the content is always excellent. Dare I ask, any chance at all of getting something from Tester and/or ITTRainbow? Would be interesting to see what they think of the Euro/NA style compared to Korea.

-Guy talk well in interview and present his idea and way of thinking about the game well. - He was successfull in school (judging by the study he was about to begin when he decided to go PRO so he is an intelligent human being) - He was not really successfull as a progamer in korea (probably good enough for a b-teamer but he know he was not going to be an A-teamer so after the HYPE he created when moving there, he need something else then RESULT to keep the hype up) - He know who he can talk smack too and who he shouldnt (imagine if he would have win 3-2 vs Huk where the 2 win of Huk would be with canon rush. Comments about those games would have been different ) Look like someone that simply abuse the fact that when you throw some drama comment here and there you create discussion where you become the main subject. Talk about me in a good or bad way as long as you talk about me. So basicly he is probably one of the player we talk the most about (this time its well deserved tho because of the win) and thats what he want Look at most pro sport out there, there is always a star player that act like that somewhere. Create publicity and ITS FREE ! Might be wrong or not but thats the feeling I have.

Seems kind of clutch that he won on Lost Temple, as he got the early victory and got the remaining 2 wins on home court. I see a lot of zergs having a tough time on Blistering Sands & Steppes due to the short rush distances. I was really impressed w/ the hydra play on Sands & the ultralisk timing on Metalopolis. Nice harrassment with zerglings to delay Tester's push. In some of the matches against Tester (group and finals #2) he has the setup for an epic baneling bust only to have it countered by T1 forcefields. Well played by Tester but also kind of hard to deal with as zerg. I thought maybe he might've been able to come back from that... but I don't play at that level so it's not really for me to say. really fun matches to watch, and also nice to see Idra win. Well played.
