Yeah I just find it ludicrous how iPhone owners manage to whine about the cost of apps considering those ppl typically aren't poor.

Funny comic. Alas from my point of view, no one whined about the price directly. It all was more related to the not given ability to test the app for a couple of times/days.
Besides that, you wont get rich if you spent your money on every shit you see (just a globally statement). If you refrain from buying all the new fancy ring tones, you will have enough money for a new car or phone shortly!

Your post has an icon of an SCV next to it. Hello irony?

I think there's a difference; teamliquid aren't forcing us to pay to visit this website, while the author of the iPhone app is selling it, using copyrighted Blizzard graphics etc.

If you could make your own build order to input into this, i would be interested

looks very nice
definately gonna try it
feedback inc!

There's no difference between charging for a program and collecting ad revenue.
If Blizzard had an issue with people using their art assets in commercial products, they'd cease and desist sites like WoWhead which consist 99% of their art and intellectual property, charge for premium memberships and advertise competitors products right on their front page.
Using images from SC2 in an app that deals with SC2 is also no different from a magazine using images from SC2 in article about the game.

Feedback:
so it really looks nice already but there were some things i missed (from Zerg PoV)
For the Strategies-tab :
-Upgrades: in my opinion pretty important..things like Zergling Speed...Terran Bio Upgrades etc etc...(might be difficult to put in ALL upgrades..but u know..the important ones)
-The 3 Macro Abilities (Queen Spit, Chrono Boost and Mule) would be nice to have those too
-Additional things like put drones into gas/pull drones out of gas allthough this might be a bit hard to do..idk
-The timer should be split into minutes..not seconds only because the replay timer is shown in minutes too
that's al i could imagine now might add something later

Just bought the app. Nice work, I quite like it.
I really wish there was an easier way to enter build orders, but I guess with the way the app works that's not possible. It would be cool if you could just enter the order though and have it guess the time based on build times or something. Not sure if that could work though, specially for Zerg :/
Anyway good work. Well worth the two bucks but I hope to see some nice updates
Also you should sexify the icon. It's kinda ugly I know it sounds dumb but I think you'd get more sales with a slick icon.

BTW. There is already an Android Build Order App You cant be serious. You can not use copyrighted graphics for your commercial purpouses! Even if the program is for free you can't just stole the graphics and use it in your product. I am going to contatct Apple and Blizzard support if the creator of this app dont prove the origin of his graphics. Its like if I would take all best Metallica songs and put it into my new game.....I am not selling the music I am selling code/effort of the app.....LOL..hilarious.
Dude, seriously? It's an app that benefits the community. Is it damaging Blizz in any intentional way? Is it affecting you? Why are you taking such issue with this to the point of taking your time and "reporting it"?
Let Blizz find it on their own and determine it themselves.
I was taught from a young age that a man doesn't "tattle tale" on people unless the act somehow is really harming others.
Your Metallica analogy is not really analogous. In that case the Metallica songs are the meat of the program, in this sense the graphics are not what people are buying it is the code.

Thanks for the feedback. Like I said, a BIG update is coming but Apple is taking a long time to review it. It was being reviewed for 10 days, so I cancelled it and resubmitted a new version with even more features. It has been a few days since the resubmission, and hopefully will be out by the end of the week.
As soon as I get some feedback for this version I plan on releasing a new version with minute:seconds time, custom events, and adding features for any feedback.
Thanks.
EDIT: Also, I am a programmer/entrepreneur and am absolutely awful when it comes to graphics. So, if anyone would like to help me with an icon that'd be great. Send me an e-mail at tayor@thsoftware.net

Just wanted to say that I bought this app and I love it. I am able to watch replays of pro games and time the orders out perfectly. Then when I want to practice the build, I just load up a custom game against the AI and go to town.
While it seems like a lot of people are complaining about it "reading" the build to you, I really like that. It keeps me focused, and lets me get a feel for the build without worrying about exact supply. The timings start to feel much more natural, rather than forced.
Thanks for this app, and keep up the great work!

Version 2.0.0 is out and I'd love for everyone to upgrade and give me their feedback! Also, PM me and ask for a promo code - I have 10 more to give out!
New Features - Share Strategies Online - Download Strategies from the Hub - Chat - Supply - Logical Build Orders by Tech Tree - New View on Play Tab - Authors - Notes for each Strategy Element
Thanks, Taylor

Meh It should be free instead and I would buy it to try it but sorry im not gunna spend 2 bucks

Picked it up earlier and messed around. (2$ is nothing so stop complaining those of you)
So far one gripe I have is while creating a build order you can't do it off of supply. I'd really like to use this while I'm out and get an idea of something to test later. That way I can quickly record it without having to use a notepad app.
I only used it for a bit, will keep messing around though. Glad you came here for help, hopefully with everyone imput this can be the sc2 app to get.

UPDATE Hey everyone,
2.1.0 is out now and I want to give more codes away to TL members for testing! I have ten codes to give out so the first 10 people to PM me will get the app for free!
NEW FEATURES - VOD - I have added VOD to the Hub so that you can watch, comment, rate, and add your own SC2 videos. Use the app on the go to catch up on the latest SC videos! (Played through youtube) - Upgrades - I have added upgrades to the build orders. Right now, you add an Upgrade and it will prompt you for the name.
Let me know what you think and please leave reviews on iTunes!
Thanks, Taylor
