I'd like so much to have my cursor right in the middle so I can quickly select my Hatch/CC/Nexus. Sucks when you accidentally scroll to a Fog of War area and delay your first worker for 1-2 seconds. That's not hard to work around. Just rotate your mouse in tiny little circles as the loading finishes. The intro-game lag will be give you a small enough window to click your nexus and doing the little circles will tell you where your cursor is and which way its already moving before the game knows whats going on. I don't think I've ever had a game where I've started a probe before 0:00 in the build order screen.

Can't even remember how many times I've clicked my Nexus, pressed E and proceeded to worker split, then finding out 3 seconds later that my probe isn't building. It's pretty easy to compensate for in your build timings, but it just sucks starting off a match with a disadvantage within the first second. I'd prefer if Blizzard added a countdown after loading and before the match starts. Would eliminate the where's my cursor-problem and would guarantee that your first keystrokes actually register.

And no you can't have a custom mouse with sc2. Some casted games have no mouse cursor because they are casting right from opengl (meaning nothing windows related will show up), others record the entire windows manager which shows the sc2 mouse, firefox, or whatever else you have on your screen, and others yet use opengl but have the recording software draw a fake mouse where their mouse should be.

It could be a simple fade from loading screen to in-game screen, very short countdown, go. If you're ever played fighting games you'll know what I mean (excluding the really Japanese ones with all the taunting and cool-guy-moves before the fight starts). Super Smash Brothers is a good example. Loading done -> characters show up on map -> "Fight!" and you're off. Takes no more than a second and a half, yet it does allow you to get to grips with what you're seeing and where everything is located.

Having everything in your face all at once, and then locating the lost mouse pointer is cumbering. Cucumbers are not fluid at all, unless they're jarred with vinegar, then they're pickles. Next patch: Jar with Vinegar.

Until I reboot, and then I get less than a game before my cursor is fuxored again. Absolutely infuriating. SC2 is basically Nvidia-only if you are on Windows 7. Erm, no? I got an ATI card and run Windows 7 and have no problems at all...

As for the ATI cursor bug, see my post here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=140799¤tpage=2#37 As for having the OS cursor inside of the game, you might be able to replace the SC2 cursor graphics within the MPQ with the Windows ones, although this is probably not the solution you are looking for. There's plenty of info on editing stuff in the MPQ if you search around on these forums.
