I still wonder why hellions are so cheap, mineral only units that do SPLASH damage and move SO FAST lol.. Honestly..
Great casting by the way, no stuttering and a clear voice..
Cheap? They're vulture replacements which used to cost 75 min 2 supply in BW (i.e. cheaper) and could be upgraded to have spider mines... I think it's just that TLO makes them look awesome in this game. Taking out sieged tanks with hellions :O
And great casting DoA! your fixation on the burning rax made me lol. does your name stand for anything?
Game 2 is finally up! lol. I need to call my ISP about that upload speed...
Thanks for the positive comments guys! There will be more games hitting the channel soon!
Back on topic though... There is definitely a lot of hype that's coming along with these Brood War pros switching to SC2, but so far I think it's been deserved. When you watch the games with them in it you can see that they are operating on a different set of mental rules than the typical SC2 pro and that's what's interesting to me at least. Whether or not that will translate into tournament wins remains to be seen.
TLO has some of the best placements and timings of his units. In game 1, he sends in the thor to soak up the first hits of the tanks, and then rushes in his hellions during the cooldown time. In game 2, he leapfrogs his tanks perfectly, and pulls his marines back at key times to force Nadas bio ball into tank range, then as the bio ball retreats, he stims his marines and attacks them without them attacking back. His micro is amazing.

Yeah actually the name does stand for something. Or at least it used to. Way back in 2001 when I started playing the original Halo (yeah I know, but what can I say? I've played FPSs since Wolfenstien 3d!) I picked the name "DeadOnArrival" because I knew I'd pretty much immedietly die upon spawning. People started calling me D O A and then finally Doa (pronounced doe - ah) and the nickname stuck. I use it for pretty much every game now.
Glad everyone's enjoying the casts! Although I really do have to credit TLO and NaDa for providing great games in the first place. TLO has this uncanny ability to just make things work that shouldn't otherwise through excellent on-the-fly decision making. It's always fun to watch!
Hm, it's surprising to see TLO owning both Nada and BoxeR.
1, I didn't know TLO was THAT good. Aside from his fan-favorite creativity, he always lacked the certain punch to battle with truly crazy Koreans (like Cool, SKS, etc).
2, Nada and BoxeR isn't omgroflsweeping SC2 as one would expect from all the hype. I know just started vs others who's been playing since Beta.
TvT has developed into such an interesting matchup. Definitely the most entertaining mirror imo. I wish pvp was half this interesting and varied. Damn colossus.

Just sharing my honest thoughts. I love all 3.
They're ladder replays uploaded by TLO.
Everyone beats everyone else on the ladder at that level.

That's TLO! I used to be a pretty avid supreme commander player, and watching TLO and TBO together was always rivitting and inspiring. TLO was the absolute master of using surgical strikes with dropships (in a game where macro and large armies reigned supreme). He just had this ability to 'make it work' which nobody else seemed to be able to pull off properly. I've enjoyed every second of watching that TLO magic bloom in SC2.
Thanks for casting these games. I really enjoyed your comentary - it was moderate and pallatable. I really can't watch Husky's commentarys, especially with my girlfriend sat next to me... She just hears this screechy voice making battle sound effects and getting over-excited, and asks me if I'd mind turning it down. Your casting style is a lot more mature and enjoyable.
