The games in this replay pack are all from ladder, versus opponent's with skill levels ranging from grandmaster ladder players, known foreigners, to progamers like startale rainbow.
All of the replays in this replay pack will showcase games of me further refining and developing my ghostmech play, and my nuclear late-game usage in all three match-ups.
So if you love nukes...expect many, many, many nukes
There are many replays in here, I would recommend starting with these !

Hey, just to get myself out there more, I am posting a huge replay pack of some recent games, as well as some games from within the past month or so!
I play mech style TvT, biomech TvZ, and I alternate between bio+viking+ghost TvP and ghostmech/broodwar mech TvP, which I have been working on a lot lately.
So...if you are interested or have been asking me for tvp mech replays...here they are! Most of the ones where I ghostmech are labelled "ghostmech" somewhere in the title, and ones where it's more of a bruteforce mech I labeled "brood war mech" because it is hellion/tank based.
Lots of known players in this replay pack: LGagh, LGpainuser, LGshew, LGzelniq liquidTyler, liquidRet (off-racing as random) dignitasSjow, goody, EGaxslav, EGlzgamer, lefnaij (JFfrom SC1) kcdc, vileHawk, vileHashe, allaboutyou ONEcruncher, Response, ROOTdrewbie, ROOTqxc, ROOTcatz, ROOTslush, ROOTddoro VTattero, VTpokebunny
Replay pack: http://rapidshare.com/files/449200762/avilo2011replaypack.rar
I currently stream at www.livestream.com/avilo for now, lots of these replays are in vods there as well.
and also i'd appreciate votes for NASL here also ! http://nasl.uservoice.com/forums/101505-who-do-you-want-to-see-in-the-nasl-/suggestions/1515641-avilo?ref=title
Enjoy!

Wow! Lots of people from your stream have been asking for replay pack. I know they'll be happy to see this.
Like willeesmalls said - Don't forget to read avilo's sig!

Man, I seriously hate this RapidShare site.
Tried to download after waiting 40 seconds to find it didnt work and I have to wait another 2 minutes
|
Thank you so much mate! True mech games from top players are hard to find this days.
Really hope you get in to this NASL, GL!
|
I only watched the match against Goody. The match was exactly what I was expecting. lol
|
I gain so much confidence watching this TvP's. Thanks for the rep pack.
|

"fuuucking goody" :D
nice pack
|
Definitely gonna check it out, mech vs Protoss is very interesting and I hope the match up becomes more like BW.
|
you would be way more popular if you streamed on justin.tv
it would also help if you weren't super bm, only idra can get away with that somehow. I mean, you bm hashe all the time and he's every terran's favorite streamer, and you get another 1000 haters each time lol thanks for the relays though, been looking for more mech

I am figuring out what I need to do to upgrade my computer to be able to do that, as if I could do that as of right now, I definitely would. Whenever I have tried to stream there with the dyno caster so far, I've felt in-game lag local to me...which makes no sense, as I have no in-game lag local to me on livestream...and live stream is considered worse by most people?
As for "BM," you would be surprised just how many top players act like angels on the forums or try to put out the image that they are perfectly good mannered...and they certainly are not on bnet. I let out anger sometimes, I will not make an excuses for that. Everyone gets frustrated sometimes
Enjoy the rep pack, and mech tvp/tvt

You should try using Flash Media Live Encoder with some sort of screen capture program like VH capture, its way more efficient and HQ than the programs which come from the individual streaming sites. Day9 wrote a good guide on how to set it up

This is true... but a lot more prevalent amidst zergs in your MMR range when faced with that level of early attack : )
IMO players express their anger too much...it's only warranted in ZvP ^^
edit: btw nice comeback against PokeBunny in that tourney a little while ago, that convinced me you weren't a 1 base extraordinaire : ), and in fact had strong gameplay well into the late game
|
Nice, will definitely check some of these out. The mech part makes it even more interesting.
|
Wah, I just get a blank site when I click the link. Anyone else get the same?
|
The game vs Goody on LT was the most beautiful SC2 game ever.
|
I've been looking for TvP mech replays. Thanks!
|
|
Wow. You have really good mechanics and strategies.
|
hey r u the same avilo from red alert 3?
|
gonna check this out, this guy is constantly top 3 in my division, he is really good. thanks
|
Longest avg. minutes per game replay pack of all time, I reckon
|
If I could "like" this I would!
guess this will have to do?!
+ Show Spoiler +
Totally underrated player to most people... GL with the NASL voting.
|
Good to see a generals player doing well.

Thanks for this Avilo. Wishing you the best of luck with everything in the future. You're a great player!
|
|
Thanks a lot man as an aspriing terran player I appreciate it
|
So Avilo, I see you've moved on from Engi rushing in CnC3 and turtling it up in RA3, to turtling it up and talking trash in Sc2 Like a boss.
I suspect you wake up every day and ask yourself "how can I frustrate the shit out of my opponents today?"
I hope you're better at this game than you were at CnC, maybe I'll get a chance to stomp you in this game, like I used to back in the old days.

Ya, I miss that style mu. Sniffle.

I've been trying to maybe try a mech vs protoss and have been met with mixed results which is understandable since I'm trying a new build out. But I have to ask the question because I can't quite tell from the replays, what is the trigger that lets you push, do you just simply keep saturating a point with tanks until you hit 200 food and then move out? Is this one of the goals that you try to achieve? What happens to me is that I think I wait too long and the next thing I know protoss has at least 2-2 and charged/blink which really hurts tanks.
Is there some sort of timing or scouting information that you use to start to push? Or just slowly leapfrog across the map with tanks?
Also, do you think your ghost mech strategy still applies? I've seen a good number of reps recently with you that you don't seem to get the ghosts as much as your old build suggests. Or do you favor the early expansion for the extra gas over the raven opener?
Avilo Ghost Mech (closed thread).

So glad to see someone else using mech! Thanks for the replays!
|
Avilo way to go man, nice to see you kicking ass, i figured you had it in you when you first brought out that ghost mech strategy.
|
I alternate between bio+viking+ghost TvP and ghostmech/broodwar mech TvP, which I have been working on a lot lately.
Are there certain maps that you don't feel comfortable playing mech on? Certain maps that you feel mech is stronger compared to others?
I guess what I'm trying to find out is when and why you decide to play mech vs toss as opposed to bio.

Depends on what kind of mech you play. If you go tank heavy XC is definately a nono, and metal is bad in close or cross positions while LT is a god send. If you go thor heavy you can mech on anything not close positions. Maybe not DQ but I keep it crossed off so I can't comment on it.
