So I've been talking about this on stream a bit, and I think I can finally make an official announcement.
Our first run of 12 Weeks with the Pros was a huge success. I'm very proud to say that the 50 or so video lessons we did with top pros from all over the world is the hands-down best collection of SC2 Zerg information to date. People have asked if I'm going to do another show, and the answer is very resoundingly: yes.
But this time we're not going to restrict ourselves to just talking about Zerg. We'll be breaking down Protoss and Terran as well. Our first two weeks will feature three day foundational series' for Protoss and Terran respectively, and after that, we'll mix it up by bringing in pros of every race to discuss every matchup for the next 12 weeks.
April 19th, 20th, and 21st will be our first three episodes, and we'll be kicking it off with one of the best Protoss players in the world: Socke.
Keep your eyes on this thread, as I'll be updating it with schedules and VODs as these next 12 weeks play themselves out.
On April 09 2011 15:04 Arisen wrote: I'm sad that the zerg lessons are over, but it will all be worth it if theres a liquid`tyler episode
Zerg lessons are not over.
We'll definitely be focusing primarily on Terran and Protoss at first, but once we've covered the BIG stuff... Basics, and common problems, we'll begin mixing Zerg stuff back in.
You are the freaking man. Seriously though, the zerg stuff alone is so great for the community, and now you show us that you are not a racist! many <3s.
On April 09 2011 15:07 Dalguno wrote: Is there a VOD that deals with, in depth and specifically, mechanics such as macro/micro/control groups, etc.?
Day9 covers this kind of stuff all the time. 12 Weeks spotlights pro players, their builds, and the decision making that takes place throughout the course of a 20-30 minute game.
I really enjoyed your initial series and I'm looking forward to watching these as well. If i can give a suggestion please try to bring Dimaga back lol, easily my favorite episode.
On April 09 2011 15:32 FMonk wrote: Very cool. Are you going to be learning Protoss/Terran yourself or are those lessons going to be more focused on watching the pros play?
I'll be playing. One of my goals with this is to advance my general understanding of the game as a whole.
No sense in just learning 1/3 of this thing if we're going to take it seriously, right?
edit: wtf, since when has my girlfriend had a TL account. LOL!
Can you go into more detail about the Protoss and Terran focused lessons? Will you be playing Protoss/Terran yourself, or will it be ZvP/ZvT from the P/T perspective? Will each matchup have a full lesson (PvP, PvT, TvT, etc)?
Really looking forward to all of these. Do you know which pro's you'll be featuring this time round, or do you not want to spoil it?
nice, thank you very much for your effort! the 12 weeks with the pros vods still help me a lot, when i'm struggling with certain problems in my zerg plays
Awesome :D. As good as the 12 weeks with the pros was, some of the information, especially the first we episodes, are a bit outdated atm with all the patches and what not. Great idea to be doing a second set :D
Ive been waiting for another mrBitter to rise, to help me with my pvp ant tvx woes. I was hoping someone stood up and said: Wait no longer, here am I your savior. But it just didnt happen and then i read this misterious title... And it turned out MrBitter has risen to be the next MrBitter. Thanks a lot ^^
I'm so stoked. I've been wanting to try out Terran and Protoss for a while, but I felt like zerg was the only race I really understood because of your videos. I feel like this is gonna open up 2/3rds of the game for me.
i love you bitter, watched pretty much all your stuff although i've only played like 5 games of zerg. Gonna enjoy the protoss sessions even more for sure<3
Yay Terran stuff! Can't wait. I know my zerg friend loved the 12 weeks with the pros. It'll be interesting to see what goes down for Protoss ad Terran now too.
tbh this might make me go random, your 12 weeks with the pros really helped me understand the game better. thank you so much and keep this great thing going
as a zerg player with not enough time on my hands the 12weeks have been a god send when it comes to improving my game. Now doing the same for terrans and protoss is just awesome. This will help out the community so much in making everyone a better player(that wants to be) and I cant thank you enough for doing this MrBitter.
Wow! I can't believe your gonna do another 12 weeks. Its too good to be true! Not that I know that much about races that aren't zerg but I look forward to finding out more. This is definetly the most prestigious zerg vods to help players. I hope more ppl check them out and all of these new episodes as well. I know I will!

I just hope there will be more Zerg focused episodes with you on the show ! :D
Great to know! Even not being a Z player myself, I went and checked out the whole 12 weeks series. Really educational. Almost made me change to Z Thanks for the awesome job, looking forward to see the T ones
hey Mr Bitters, going for T and P episodes are cool switch, but to show Z bro's some love, can you mix some XvZ prespecitve into like questions for pro's, for example i would like to hear some P player discussing his build/strat from the point what Z should and shouldnt do here.
Like while discussing forge FE stargate build it would be awesome not only to hear and see how to execute it well, but what's zergs good and terrible responses to it :D Same with Terran players
In other words, make em P and T scum reveal their weaknesses to swarm, gg
Definetly looking forward to this your 12 Weeks with the Pros helped me out tremendously with Zerg. Now I can off-race something and not suck complete bawlls tytyty
Hey bitters I think its awesome that your doing this, especially as I just started playing a little with protoss That said, whenever you do come back to zerg would you consider bringing Spanishiwa back to go in depth on his 44 gas build? I really liked that episode, and would love to hear him talk more about the timings with this c I've been working with it. - excited for 12 more weeks!
Awesome, I can't wait, its nice to put things into perspective from all sides of the game. Its so hard to listen to your stream as a terran player even though I love what you do for the game. I just don't like all the biased comments about terran and protoss players, even though it happens on almost every stream. I think its something we need to change as a whole. I hope you approach this in a very fair way!
love your work mate! make sure u get incontrol back on! i rate him as THE best coach in sc2 atm from what i've seen. the coaching cues he gives are simple, yet amazing and they stick in ur head. the eps with him have helped me the most thats for sure!
I cant wait to see the other 2 starcraft factions, and I hope to see matches from their point of view against zerg to discover when they feel the most unconforable and when they think zerg is strong ! <3 to Mr. Bitter !
I am certainly lookin forward to seein bitterz playin with the toss... the better his understanding, the further i'm sure we will see VTbitterz trollin through MLGs! ♥
Glad to see the expansion to all three races, the others were really high quality and a really great idea! Glad to see everyone's getting the love now, hopefully the audience triples (or more!? :D)
Week 1 Schedule: Our Next Shows: PvT with Socke Tuesday, April 19th at 3PM EST PvZ with Socke Wednesday, April 20th at 3PM EST PvP with Socke Thursday, April 21st, at 3PM EST
Considering the current state of PvZ and the tons of QQ going on in the forums, the PvZ show with Socke on the 20th should be a really interesting one to watch.
Guess I'll end up playing random once the toss/terran vods come out. You're the man obviously... congrats w/ the whole VT thing.
Not gonna lie I am a little worried... those vods made myself and so many other zergs so much better and zerg is still pretty hard... imagine what will happen to Z when these toss vods come out and P's actually have a clue what they're doing... scary.
Awesome man, excited to hear it! Even though I play toss I've watched all your episodes so far and enjoyed them. Although the ones which didn't have a toss in it didn't directly relate to me, I'm a fan of what you've got going and there's still little tidbits of info you can get from the pros. I'm sure I'll enjoy it 10x more watching about my own race
I'm still trying to find the time to catch up on what you've done so far! keep up the amazing vids, truly one of the best sources of educational SC2 info right now.
So awesome, watched a lot of ZVP lesions that you did whit incontrol, machine, ret, idra, etc.
Still find your stream one of my favorites, and love your ZVP lessions (Mike Tyson's fist = Toss :D).
So hyped about Socke lesion's he's one of my favorite players, and probobly my favorite euro TOSS, tied with White-RA (White-Ra lesion must happen, that would be most awkward 2 hours ever recorded and put on internet (still think we'd learn a shitload!)).
You are awesome , keep it up and congrats on your new team !
This is fantastic news! Even though I'm not a zerg player I've really been enjoying all of the zerg lessons a lot. Can't wait for the protoss/terran ones to come. The things that you do for the community are absolutely amazing, thanks a bunch and keep up the good work!
On April 14 2011 20:02 bgx wrote: invite white-ra, maybe he will teach you some special tactics
ROFL Whitera would be amazing. I am many excite for Mr Bitter with all 3 races! Any day there is Protoss play, I will deffinitly be tuning in. :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD This is awesome news! I hope this is very successful. What you are doing for the community is nothing short of amazing. Keep up the good work!
Bitter; you should go over phoenix into colossus openings in PvT... its one of my favorite openings, but I have problems with some transitions out of it. (like if he goes pure marines!)
Could you do a ZvP based lesson on maybe some different strategies on how to combat the protoss void/colosi deathball, maybe with an emphasis on drops and nydus and avoid doing a standard roach/hydra/corruptor mix. Maybe trying a roach/hydra/infestor mix
I'd really love to see a VOD about ZvT handling hellions. I think hellions got real popular over the last couple weeks and they can be quite hard to handle. Dunno if this fits in your new series of 12 weeks with the pros but I'd appreciate it so much.
In TvT, most people either love or hate tanks. As a tank hater myself, i've tried alot to avoid them although MKP style is super hard. Could you elaborate on your upcoming TvT lesson on tank usage? Such as positioning, attacking/avoiding siege lines, tank:marine ratio, spreading tank lines, etc...
EDIT: also get this show up in the calendar mrbitter :D
Very nice idea for the show MrBitter, however I really think Protoss is a boring race so I'm going to probably skip the Protoss part. I'm very much looking forward to Terran though, as that is my second favourite race and one that I'd realy really want to learn how to play at a pro-level, as I really struggle in TvZs.
What I wanna see in TvZ series:
Mech play, Thor Tank Helion. IEchoic Style in TvT Whether pure mech is possible in TvP or not, what is the best way to go bio->mech transition.
Edit: Oh, if you manage to bring WhiteRa to Protoss week, I'd really say no to watching some special tactics
I am a zerg player who enjoys also playing random, so while I loved your first season, I was just as excited when you announced this season.
I think my biggest request would be for you to really jump in and have the pros coach you. I feel like while asking questions of the pros while they play is interesting on getting into their heads, having them tell you what you are forgetting to do and what your thought process should be is really what made your first season incredible.
Plus I think most of us make mistakes similar to the mistakes you will no doubt make, and that is one of the most useful parts of the show. Having the pros point them out, and help you either get out of situations you wouldn't ideally get into, or simply remind you of what you should be scouting for.
Plus there may be many small tips or very simple but important concepts that are so ingrained by the pros that they might not notice it and thus not touch on it, but if you are playing and you make a mistake, it might trigger them to go into the point => we all gain .
I guess the summary of this post is I really hope that you get get into the chair and play the toss and terran yourself because I feel like this is more beneficial than simply sitting back and listening to the pros attempt to explain their thoughts as they play.
Hope this doesn't sound like a bashing of your show because I absolutely love it and really appreciate all that you do for this community.
Been waiting for this since you coached my friend xD. Will you be doing lessons for terran like you do for zerg? would defo be interested in that (once I start playing again after easter.)
i'd just like to take the opportunity of this thread to thank you again Mr.Bitter, your work has been a tremendous help for me and i guess a lot of zergs around here. Keep it up !
Damn, I think you should get more attention overall! Your enthuthiasm to helping community and other players are awesome. And also the pros there that come are great!
Gotta watch few of your last 12 Weeks with Pros Zerg episodes and then these protoss etc. Maybe I will try other races aswell then:--) GOOD LUCK MR.B!
Ps. Do you pay for them to get them to show or do they come without payments;o?
On April 20 2011 19:32 Sebast1aan wrote: I'd really like to see you playing and the pro's coaching you, that's what made season 1 very interesting for me .
Since this is becoming a common request, after the foundational weeks, I'll hop up and start playing the offraces for the last half of each show.

Any chance you could get Cruncher on to talk about forge FE in PvZ? Now that Tal'darim Altar and Shakuras Plateau are in the ladder map pool, I feel like Protoss players can no longer get away with going 3 gate expo on every map.
Love these segments and what you do for the e-sports scene, MrB. If you're taking suggestions, I'd love to see some shows with Tyler (maybe talking about when/why to upgrade/long term game decisions) or a non-standard Protoss play like you did with Catz with maybe Huk, White-Ra or MC (He's really been working on his english!!). Kiwikaki would also be a fantastic choice (and maybe bring iNc in on some days, of course). See you in about 10 hrs.. <3
I just watched the first session with Socke and was a bit disappointed that you didn't actually play as Protoss yourself. I strongly doubt that you can get a real boost in understanding the other two races without actually playing them at least some of the time.
Apart from that it was interesting to watch for me, as PvT is my weakest matchup at the moment and especially some of the early-game timings that Socke pointed out were very quite enlightening.

Haha, everyone keeps bringing this up.
I promise, I'll start jumping up and playing games AFTER the first 2 weeks.
This is SO awesome. Just now that I have switched to protoss the most awesome guy on TL restarts the most helpful show ever for protoss (at least partially). And even apart from particular races your show offers so much insight, can't wait for these next 12 weeks.
for those complaining about youtube being broken up into 9 segments, you can watch it on http://mrbitter.blip.tv/file/5043214/ instead as a full 2 hour show
How often after the live session of "The Next 12 Weeks" are the VODs uploaded to your blip, MrBitter? I'm patiently waiting for the PvZ VOD with Socke since I missed it today, but it'd be cool to know how long after the live sessions the VODs are out so I can plan my time accordingly ^_^
Just watched PvZ with Socke and that was awesome! First I felt sad that there will be no more zerg learning videos but now I see that looking at the matchup from other race perspective can be really useful
Btw. your PvZ videos with Socke are very out of sync ;/
Hey man, the blip PVZ cut out partway through the second game. I don't know the minute count as I now have to reload it to find out. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm very sad because the video was so awesome.
is your gf okay? she seems to have been coughing throughout all of the last 12 weeks and into the first of this one.
if her cough is as drawn out as those ZvT games WHERE THE TERRAN JUST WONT GODDAMN DIE i might suggest looking into Chinese Medicine. I'm skeptical of chinese medicine curing serious long term illnesses like cancer and such, but its pretty darn effective at common colds and persistent coughing (speaking from anecdotal experience).
Just watched the first Vod of Socke showing of some pvt, really insightful i thought and great games too.Its really appreciated what your doing for the community Mr bitter.
Pretty much confirm all my ideas on TvZ and introduce some new things as well (and of course nice to see it all in action in a game). Waiting on TvP, the real tough matchup!!
Holy crap this has been going for over a week and I just now notice? Thanks again Bitter 'n' Pros, feel like I can start playing all the races now with you guys to make my terran not suck <3
Painuser was lots of fun to watch. So chill even when hes screws up alot (lol supply block at 27 curse) but he maguyvers his way through with great unit compositions and good timing.
I was sad after watching the zerg VODs wishing there were lessons for Protoss because the quality of the zerg lesson "package" you have produced is unequaled in the SC2 scene imo. I just found this thread today and it makes me so happy!
Do you ever release replays from these sessions? I would like to go over the replays to some of these Socke games so I can for instance know how many stalkers he had when he said he had too many.
Would be nice to have Adelscott over for some mass gateway-upgrade talks. But he probably doesn't really speak english Also would be interesting to pick at the brain of TLO about anything really.
On April 29 2011 01:37 Caveman255 wrote: TvP tonight?
Yep.
As we're wrapping up the foundational weeks, I need to start collecting suggestions for future shows.
Upgrade-centric mass gateway PvT? Using mass mech in TvP? Or even revisiting some questions about Zerg?
Let me know what you guys want to see so I can start planning the coming weeks.
Mech TvP sounds pretty good since it's one of those things often discussed, but not so often implemented. Maybe accompanying it with some discussion on working ghost play in there since that should become far more accessible with the next patch?
Drewbie showcased a pretty good example in G3 of his IPL series vs TT1 iirc.
actually, hearing the other matchups (TvZ/PvZ) and then testing some of the ideas out has helped a lot for my own zerg play. I'll say, BRING ON MORE Terrans/Toss !! :D
Yeah I'd love to hear about more of the zerg matchups from a non-zerg perspective, PvZ especially I really enjoyed Socke though most of it might be pointless with this next patch.

Given some of the changes that are coming for Toss, I may stay away from P matchups until post-patch. It will give us tons to talk about when the patch does finally hit, though.
I remember when mrbitter was a little noob getting better in the sc2gg coaching school. Oh how things have changed, you're the fucking man for all the content you've brought to the community. Keep up the !@#$ great work!

Bitter was from sc2gg? Lol
Don't hate! SC2GG for life!
Haha. No hate bro you are doing awesome :D.
Btw just a suggestion but it would be awesome if you release the replays with players consent of coarse.
I am definately a Painuser fan now. Didnt notice him a lot before that 3 shows but i really like what he did. He was extremely funny and chilled, with a ton of good insight. So companies of the world support this guy, and shows: invite him!

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, I'm scared of the patch aha I've spent enough time workin on learning the current toss timings. At some point would you be willing to bring Spanishiwa for another ZvT session? He has so many new things I feel like every time I hear him speak (you, day9, various interviews and casts) I learn more bout his style and ZvT specifically would be awesome . <3 <3 love the show!
These were excellent, MrBitter I can't think you enough for helping out the entire game of Starcraft. PainUser thanks for showing us how you approach each matchup. I look forward to trying out some of the strats on the ladder.
I still want to know about the secret strat on Shakuras they were talking about.

It is great to have the minds of the pro's picked in a thorough manner. I loved the Painuser episodes since I play terran but anything with T in it has thus far been really informative.

I will make an announcement once its official.
Sweet, I feel a lot has changed since "12 weeks with the pros".
In ZvT a lot of American Zergs (Sheth, Vibe, Slush, etc) open Roaches now and seem to go for the midgame composition of Ling/Bling/Roach. I saw Dimaga streaming the other day and he seemed to have great succes with a lategame Ultralisk/Infestor composition, even ironically saying its imbalanced to the Terrans he's tearing apart :D. ZvP pretty much completely changed from months ago and in ZvZ I feel there's some nice new builds also infestors mixed things up a bit.
So yeah, really looking forward to the Zerg episodes this week.
I really enjoyed the segments with Painuser (gogo Terrans!). As a suggestion for a future terran session, could you have a show that was drop focused? Drops in any of the match-ups would be fine.
I'll be watching and supporting all your shows, regardless of what the focus is on! Thanks for hosting these!!!

Also, I also like it when you play some of the games, because we get to see your learning process in addition to simply getting information from the coach. Hopefully going back to Z matchups will help with this.
Looking forward to some episodes with the Chef. Been watching his stream a bit lately and seeing some very solid play. I just love how he makes army trades happen when he knows he's up on income.
I just finished up the TvZ VOD with PU and it was a really enjoyable cast. I know I definitely got a lot out of it (lol at the shakuras bunker rush, so dirty haha) and I'm looking forward to checking out all the other VODs you have on the way, excellent work!
B. I must know what the second song played pre show last week was. (ZVP with sexysheth) I tried my shitty music id but it's not complying so it instead met the incinerator. I heart anyone who can answer this riddle.
just tried Sheth style in ZvP and I must say that IT'S REALLY GOOD! Haven't lost with it yet(in like 5-6 games vs P) and it feels very swarmish and cool. Thanks to MrBitter for inviting Sheth to the show

Thank you MrBitter. Your lessons on stream and the 12 weeks series let me switch from Terran to Zerg and pwn my way up to silver league. No more forever bronze!
Mr. Bitter, on the next pvt episode, do you think you could request that the player do some games of protoss vs a 1 basing terran? I think everyone has a good handle on how to play 2 base vs 2 base openings just because its so common in high level games and replays, but on diamond/masters ladder or on close positions, this kind of play just isn't applicable and I think a lot of protosses are getting lost when it comes to holding off 1 base play.

This is a fine idea. I'll definitely bring it up with one of our Pro Tossers.
I really would like to see an episode that concentrate on PvZ 2 Gate Stargate openings. Also one that concentrates on the benefits of Templar tech as opposed to Robo tech, vs either Z or T. Also mass gateway units and upgrades. Basically we all know how to use the Colossus, but some insights on how to use the other tech paths for Toss would be helpful, especially with the upcoming buffs to Archons.
On May 10 2011 06:02 Scigrex wrote: I really would like to see an episode that concentrate on PvZ 2 Gate Stargate openings.
I think this one will come up naturally, forge first fe with stargate into void/colossus is popular, and 2 gate stargate is the "safe" version of that. But yeah, in general there's a lot of information about how to colossus push from a 2 base opening, but this situation is honestly getting less and less common in pvt, and fading out a little more slowly in pvz as zergs begin favoring more aggressive play and the games are decided before colossi are out.
Sheth has asked that we reschedule today's show to Friday.
So that means this week's schedule looks like so:
Tuesday, May 11th at 4PM EST: QXC on TvZ Wednesday, May 12th at 4PM EST: QXC on TvP and Friday, May 14th at 7PM EST: Sheth is back to finish up ZvZ.

mhh i´m sorry, but i think qxc didnt really understand what this show is supposed to do. he was not really talking and concentrating more on winning then on teaching
Thanks MrBitter, the show is great and appreciate all the work you put into it. However, I really liked the old format of you being coached. It just seems like there is a lot being missed when a pro just plays and talks about what he's doing. There is a lot of things they just do naturally that most do not do or know.
Just wanted to let u know about the awesome showmatch Mr.Bitter is going to cast tomorrow! It's gonna be Sheth vs Azz so check out the thread and make sure to show up!
Hey Bitterz! Been a fan of the show since you posted the very first coaching VOD with incontrol on the Battlenet forums. :D
I have a suggestion that could be cool: How about having random people audition for a chance to play against the pros, rather than just the same group of people? Maybe like 3 replays or have them play against 3 judges, one from each race? The auditioner wouldn't even have to win, but just show that they're competent enough to give the pro a good match for the 12 Weeks show. The audition process could even be a show in itself between 12 Weeks seasons.
I think these videos are helpful especially for a lot of the low level players who might know enough that they can benefit more from less generalized thinking.
Omg!!! Whitera... But it is quite hard to understand his english... But his knowledge is invaluable. I will have to watch the vods multiple times. Hope he has been experimenting with archons and is willing to share some knowledge. Whitera fighting!!! P.s mr bitter. You are amazing keep up the great work!
A big thank you! Week 4 with FXOqxc was super good. This stuff might take me up from master to grandmaster. I wanted to PM you in person, but I figured it might be a bit annoying. Know that I am grateful. =)
Wow! White-Ra!? That's gonna be amazing, but I can forsee a language barrier making it a lot less amazing. I barely understand what he's saying half the time I watch his interviews, but maybe that's just me. Hopefully you guys communicate OK and get a good show going!

Thanks for the efforts!
His stream commentary's quite good, I'm not too worried.
a question, in a lot of your vods you have technoish music that's really good. do you have a playlist or some names of the songs you use? would be so awesome!

Actually I would love to know the name of those Chiptune tracks

It won't be a problem, his English really is not that bad. Should be a really interesting and amusing show with lots of special tactiks :D
when white-ra was explaining how hes changed his game game during his NASL interview last week he wasnt hard to understand at all, itll be good to get his knowledge and experience about the matchups
These titles are like that zombie series. 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, 12 Weeks, The Next 12 Weeks, After 24 Weeks, 24 Weeks later. I love it haha.
And I also love Mr.Bitter. I think it's mostly due to the time difference I hadn't notice the show early on, but when I did some months ago I was amazed. Not only do you have a really enjoyable voice and a smooth and friendly way of communicating. But the content was incredible! Getting information from the pro's can be quite a task. Many have tried and will try to do so but not with as great as effect you have. That was one thing that really surprised me. This was really interesting and I found myself intrigued as the pro's explained the things as the game progressed.
Zvz is the most rare matchup that esxists, but the most problematic, i think. It would be great if any high level Zerg was invited to do ZvT looking forward to it
The PvP with White-Ra isn't working for me, MrBitter. Maybe there was a problem with the upload, or perhaps time will sort it out, not sure, but I thought you'd want to know :D

Mr.Bitters Sir, your production is just pure gold. As one of the Zergies who watched all episodes from last "season" I was kinda scared of the Terran and Tosser episodes but guys like Qxc are just fun to watch/listen.
Apologies if it has been posted already, but I can't seem to find it:
Do you have a link up for any of the 8-bit you play for the intro? If not, would you mind posting some info on some of your preferred tunes and where they might be available for download?
This show defintivly deserves more attention. It is very educational and entertaining. Everyone who wants to get better insights into the game should watch it. You dont just get casters opinion about the game but the players opinion. You get to know how they play how they make conclusions and what they think about the game. Mr. Bitter is a great host for the show and hist guests are top rated Starcraft II players. And you get the chance to ask the pros questions by writing emails.
I don't own it. Its not my personal site. I can't refer you to downloads, and I don't know the names of songs by heart, but if you hear something you like, that's probably the best place for you to start looking.
^ thanks to the above poster Loddigesia, i was wondering how to download them since if Blip is closed, its hard to fast forward to the part that you want to continue from.
@MrBitter, THANKS! learning much from TvX series with PainUser and QXC. more relevant to playing (specifics) than Day9 (very general).
Thank you MrBitter for bringing White Ra to the show. Not only is he mannered, he is talented and fun to watch, and innovative. Speedlots/Immortals/Colossus/archons, who would have guessed !
MrBitter do you think all of the episodes from the original 12 week show are still relevant? i'm starting to play zerg so i was looking for a good place to start learning

Absolutely they are.
The ZvZ with Ret from our first week is still how I play and coach ZvZ today.

Best episode everrrrrr.

I don't think you can hold a pure Ling allin with that... depends on the rushdistance though...
Still, it's prolly one of the safest ZvZ openings up to date and it all comes down to the micro when this build is faced with the dangerous builds PLUS: it's in itself potentially preeeeetty dangerous!
The new Blip interface apparently doesn't allow downloading the vods. This is really inconvenient . Might it be possible to make them available on iTunes as podcasts like the Day9 Daily?

Awesome work Mr.Bitter, the videos are extremely helpful. Once in a while you get to hear a high level player's thoughts and perspective if they're commentating their stream or casting, but it's nothing compared to being drilled about their thought process through several different types of games in different match ups.
I've only watched a few from PainUser, White-Ra, and QXC so far but I'll probably get through all of them eventually. I feel like the most useful parts are their thoughts and reactions when they don't know much about what the opponent's doing, watching things that normally look complicated as a spectator (QXC multi-pronged drops), and what they focus attention on (again, QXC was a great example). As far as players to bring on and what to ask of them, I think the most useful are the ones that do innovative styles or are able to execute a variety of builds. Seeing how a standard build plays out against different styles is useful too though (i.e. PainUser).
The obvious people to try to get on the show are top end winners like Naniwa and Thorzain, but I don't think skill is the only thing that matters. The players who I like to see are the ones that develop builds with a very specific purpose in mind and can explain it rather than the players who are just good at execution. Thorzain would be fantastic because of his now famous ability to prepare for matches, Naniwa could be equally good to have because of his infinite number of variations of a 4 gate or similar, Kiwikaki or someone else from ROOT might be interesting because they're known and recruited for favoring less standard styles.
Mr Bitter, I know your hearing thanks heaps but i have to say man, words CANNOT DESCRIBE how much the qxc and painuser have helped me as a high masters player, Thankyou so much my friend, such a great idea, good things will come ur way from the starcraft gods !!
Also would ppl recommend i watching some of the *vT ones as a T player? ive only watched the Tv* ones so far and cant wait for more !!!

I would love to hear more from dimaga. His play style is pretty unique and I used to have a really hard time following his thought process when I watched his reps back when he was winning everything in beta.
I love your show! I have a problem: you can't jump to a given time in blip vods, and it is a very usefull thing to do, at least for me, to rewatch some games and learn the builds that the pros did. Can you do anything to fix this problem? Or can you upload all White-Ra's lessons on Youtube? Thank you!

I've definitely found it useful to watch the *vZ ones as a Zerg player.... it's interesting to see the matchup discussed and described from the other POV.
Thank you so much for doing the 12 weeks. I've learned a lot and really enjoyed it. But...
I'd like to ask you to edit out the 10 minute long music intro's like in TvT fundamentals with Painuser. I want to be able to hit play and immediately get into the content not listen to "X" number of minutes of music.
Hey mr Bitter, I just wanted to congratulate you on doing such an awesome job on NASL and I really hope you now get even more people watching your 12 weeks... content.
You combine personality and knowledge with professionalism very well. I think its very important for a caster to not be afraid of voicing opinions at the same time as they understand and accept that they are not experts at everything. You really do this very well. Keep up the good work!
Sorry for the 2 week hiatus. NASL + MLG made putting anything together difficult. I've got some very special guests lined up for the very near future. Keep your eyes peeled, and I'll let the secret out as soon as its concrete.

I always die to ling allin with this and I'm not sure how to hold it or scout for it after. They can still gas pool expo then ling allin and hide the lings in their base. I've started throwing down a bane nest instead and I like that better. The only thing is one base banes beats that so I'm back to going either 15 hatch or one base ling bane.
<edit> nm just watched the first game of sheth's stream on 5/18 and he 15 hatches, gets 8 larva of lings, roach warrren, only makes 8 roaches I think, all lings and leaves to attack around the 8 min mark. He just barely beats someone going what looked like 14 gas 14 pool expo sling allin.

Hey bitters when will you be getting back to this? It's very interesting but the 'next 12 weeks' has been coming out kinda on the slow side compared to the first run anyway. No hate just curious when to expect more coming out, also it'd be awesome to have sheth come back to finish out his 3.
Great news!! I'm pretty new to the show, but I have to say that it is really an awesome resource. The amount of knowledge that you have gathered about the individual match-ups is awesome.
Just now going back to revisit some of the vods I watched live and it just made me want to thank you again, great series and a very valuable resource to the community. Glad you're keeping it going =D

I love your effort mrbitter, this is really something
I think you should focus in one race though, it will also help you completely learn about terran and toss. And if you focus on one race you will get the best pros for that race, and a very in-depth guide.

keep it up :D
12 weeks with the pros covered a full analysis of Z v X matchups, it was probably the most in depth analysis series for zerg play ever released, at least for non-pros to watch.
I can't wait to see the next pro Mr Bitter brings in
I cant believe I missed the second round of 12 weeks. I watched all the videos in the first round of 12 weeks. Awesome stuff, I love the way you give back to the community <3. Stay amazing
Huk is the person I want to see most on this! Hes the best english speaking player in the world and his game knowledge is probably far above anyone else.
OGS.MC would be cool too. He has shown his english is good enough to share his knowledge about SC2.

I have the same problem... blip.tv is a very nice service but I can't help feeling their player is very sub-par. It won't allow me to fast forward and the loading is also very slow compared to other streaming sites...
Two months ago I watched a lot of the videos once when I was diamond, a second time when I was low masters, now a third time at mid masters and I'm getting the most out of them now. I got the least out of them when I was in diamond.

Ya, I definitely agree having MC would be awesome. Maybe Huk and MC at the same time? would help MC a lot I think to have someone familiar with him who can clarify/ help him if he doesn't understand something.
Anyway, I'd like to say some of the Protoss I'd like to see are Hasuobs, Huk, or Naniwa. Even Grubby would be nice (he's not good yet, but he's very smart and it's only a matter of time before he's at the top)
I may the only one who really cares about this but is there anyway we can get a list of the music you've used?? (Specifically the ones used on the QXC videos)

I don't know Phoenix much, watched him only once, but i think he's like top grandmaster? Really cool pic, and Destiny is obviously cool;) Well done, glad you are back Mr.Bitter. Gl with the show!

Phoenix is my favorite Zerg player in the world right now with a very unique style of both ZvP and ZvT that we'll be looking at extensively.
edit:
He'll also be our first Korean since Cella... Hopefully a taste of things to come!
Off topic: congrats on the MLG gig! You did great work at NASL. You and Husky have the potential to be superb, as good as any duo out there. It will give me an extra reason to watch.
This VOD series is amazing! I watched every episode and cant wait for more! Nice to hear that you are in cologne right now, don't be upset about the weather here in germany, this summer is totally bs
It is sad that you are busy, but I would love if 12 weeks continued. Watching a video and seeing the explanation of a strat on real time is far better than just reading it on the forums
Heh, there are some casters that I cannot stand, but Mr. Bitter is definitely not one of them and I think its because I unconsciously realize how much he does for the community (besides the fact that hes actually a good caster). Keep on doing what you do Mr. Bitter!!
I would love to see an episode with Nerchio, he is such a baller! But since nothing happened in this thread for month, I am starting to think that his show has died
You can read up about all the plans in the ESL broadcasting schedule thread that popped up on this forum a while ago. There is a brief statement concerning 'The Next 12 Weeks' in there.
I have a question: are any of these protoss-videos so up to date that they show playstyles still played in the patch today, or is everything to old so it's not even worth watching for a learning purpose?

Im fairly certain that the playstyles the pros played a couple months ago still have a huge potential for you to learn from, unless you are grandmaster level.
They always said after IEM New York but since then I havnt heard anything about it. There were announced quite a few new shows on ESL TV but the on I was looking forward to the most is missing =/
