Yeah ive been out of it recently. My semester ended but now im right back into summer calculus so I've been ignoring this a little too much. I will update the install instructions right now.
*To people who don't know, Installing no longer requires you to edit mpqs or anything. Simply download the new mpq I've uploaded, and drag it into your Starcraft II/Mods/LibertyMulti.SC2Mod folder. Since you are not editing game files, this should be completely in the clear. Have fun!

It finally worked for me: I have a german EU acc - what I had to do was:
drag the new mpq that pzeah469 uploaded into "Liberty.SC2Mod" NOT "LibertyMulti.SCMod" then remove an existing SC2ASSETS-file into an backupfolder. If there are two SC2ASSET-files, pick the smaller one If there is a asset-file called "teen" (wtf?) ignore it. now you have to remame pzeahs Asset-file from usUS to your language. In my case deDE (german)
That seemed to be the only way for me, but ill try some others
maybe I was the only one with problems there but anyways :D big Hand for pzea469 and ty again for your work

your welcome
I'm sorry, I forgot completely about other regions and just put up instructions on how it worked for me. So yeah i forgot about the whole changing US to your region. However putting into LibertyMulti.SC2Mod should still work since i think that folder takes priority. You shouldn't have to back up or replace any files. Technically if you do, its against blizzards terms, not that it really matters. But the idea is that putting it into the LibertyMulti should make it priority over Liberty, and this allows you to not have to change any existing files in any way. However I have only tried this in the US version so if that doesn't work for other regions, then replacing/backingup/ files might be the only way.
If someone knows more, please put some info out.

Wow, this looks really pretty! Well done!

For some reason I don't have the "mod" folder. Do I need to reinstall SC2?
|
I think this idea is great, although it'd cause more problems differentiating your own units from one another as a trade-off.

I think.

I've been using these textures for quite some time (LOVE 'UM btw), but is it possible to update the OP with the date that you last edited the texture file? I know there was something that pzea said a bit ago about possibly making more changes to the textures to reflect some feedback, but It would be nice to know if i'm "up to date." I would love to see what improvements have been made!!!
Thanks!!!

Well done, thanks.
No idea what the hell that 'teen' file is though.

Wow I REALLY like this Idea, because I am kind of color blind, the more distinct colors would really help...

I was just thinking this and wondering the same thing, I forgot to ask in my post though, so isn't this altering the IN GAME stuff and can potentially get you banned?

It's no more against the rules than altering your MPQ to get a different voice pack for in-game announcements. It's hardly something that will get you banned or even a warning.

I was watching a replay of mma vs sjow from mlg columbus and the colors were mixed, some of sjows units were mma color and vice versa, is this a known bug? This is supposed to make spectating easier so kinda big bug when the colors are messed up like that
here is example screenshot: example

I really hope that they fix this in the HotS client as when playing team games with and vs a zerg and both of them have alot of lings... its hard as a brotoss to know who to block out with force sheilds lol

That's a weird bug indeed. However, I do not think it is related to this mod. This texture pack merely edits how strong the team colors are. Just ups the intensity and adds team color in some areas. So I would think that without this it would still be bugged.
Just to clarify, I do not edit the color blue, or red or pink or anything individually. I simply edit the intensity of all colors at once. Meaning that any colors being mixed up like this shouldn't be related to this mod.

I like this mod a lot and I hope that Blizz makes spectating even better by improving the team colors.
