I can't get it to work.
This is what I did:
1. Downloaded: http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html 2. Downloaded: http://www.mediafire.com/?s935o7s4t6vmgde 3. Unzipped both archives to separate folders 4. Booted up MPQ editor, first time bootup screen popped up, had no clue what it meant, just hit okay 5. In MPQ Editor: File -> Open MPQ -> Blahblahblah\Mods\Liberty.SC2mod\enUS.SC2assets 6. In the left pane of the MPQ editor I see just 2 folders (I think, from what I remember) Assets and Localized Data 7. In windows explorer, I navigate to where I unzipped the mod. pzea_STCmod\enUSassets\Assets\ 8. In windows explorer in the Assets folder, I see the folders for Battle.net, Effects, Localized Data, Sounds, and Textures 9. I drag the two folders "Effects" and "Textures into the right pane of the MPQ editor. A prompt pops up, no clue what it means, just hit Ok 10. I now see the "Effects" and "Textures" folders listed in both panes of the MPQ editor. 11. I close the MPQ editor, and boot up SC2. The mod isn't applied. =( 12. I re-read the instructions and went through everything again. This time at the last step I was prompted that "assets are already there" or something like that, so I overwrote 13. Close MPQ editor again and boot up SC2 again. Still no mod =(
I am le sad because I actually installed this for the first time earlier today before the patch hit. So I was watching replays with it while the patch was happening, looking forward to playing with it, and now this happens =(
Halp!

on 6. Make sure to then go inside the Assets folder. So you open the mpq with the mpq editor. You see the Assets folder. Go inside it, and once inside, THEN drag textures and effects folders. Not sure if you did this, but it didn't sound like it from what you wrote. Let me know if that helped.

Again this instruction is so confusing. I upziped pzea STCMod and I see enUSAssets. If I double click it, windows will ask me what program it should use. If I use MPQeditor... NOW I HAVE TWO INSTANCES OF MPQ Editors! I cannot drag files across the two instances! could you please clarify the instruction once more. So once you unzip STCMod, the folder is enUSAssets. Just open that by double clicking it, it's a regular folder. Then inside is another folder called Assets. And inside are the specific folders. You only use the mpq editor to open your original enUS.SC2Assets in your Liberty.SC2Mod folder. When you open that you'll also see the Assets folder. You go inside that. Then drag the folders from the unziped STCMod into the mpq editor opened enUS.SC2Assets. You shouldn't have two instances of MPQeditor. To open that enUS.SC2Assets, you should just start up the mpq editor. Then using that you locate the file. Does that help at all? Sorry, for no video, I'm sort of busy until the weekend.
Thank you I finally got it to work
Here's what I had to do EXTRACT the Effects andTexture Folders and from the STCMod using MPQEdit -this is because my computer sees the enUSAsset(custom) as an MPQ open only, and not just a regular folder
THEN I open the original enUSAsset, and drag those folders inside.

@pzea469:
Just now i tested all the zerg unit and building and have take a print screen for Red & Green(alt+f)
everything seem ok, Only zergling don't have change

I tried moving the ling information from previous versions into their respective folders and tested after each attempt. Neither the information within 1.5 or 1.0 would bold the ling's color. I is a sad zergy, i miss my bold ass lings lol ><.

ty ty ty, that worked for me and now my sc2 is awesome :D:D

My guess is that they made it so zerglings textures come from somewhere else that has priority. I'll have to look into it.

works just fine again.
thank you for your work pzea469! much appreciated =))

My lings are also wrong. I miss their colorful legs.

I am confused by the MPQ editor part. When you say "drag the files over". I cant drag them...

You should be able to drag from your computer into the mpq editor. But you can't drag from mpq editor to mpq editor. So the STCMod should be unzipped on your computer, and you should be able to drag the folders from there into the mpq editor.
Sorry guys, I had a chance to make a vid, but I spent the time playing Tribes Ascend..... Looks like more of you guys are getting it to work though at least. Really sucks about the lings. I'll probably have to include special instructions JUST for the lings, which sucks since it makes things more complicated. Oh Blizz.... why? :/

I think that this should definitely be a setting by Blizzard. Someone set up a petition for it?
|
Does this work for low settings?
