excellent interview, i am sorry for my bad comment before. i hope i can make up for this by writing a good one this time.
nice with more female gamers in the scene! especially pleases me that she gets attention for winning something!

I FEEL THE SHIT WINDS A BLOWING. nice interview, better than the last!

What ever happened to Pikachu, the Taiwanese female player? Did she stop playing SC2, or was she defeated by Flo?
|
Okay Mayan, same deal as before, I have another one for you, yes, yes, she's not ugly.. and she'll do the interview.. she says she'll give you her msn.. and her phone number.. but her stream has to be featured

What? Still no Megumixbear interview?
WTF I'm getting tired of waiting on it :<

Not criticizing the TL moderators but seriously why doesn't Naniwa get a temp ban or at least a warn? I thought posts were required to have some content on it, instead of 1 liners. I don't think popularity should matter on how much thought you have to put on your post without getting warned/banned.

Naniwa has a different type of humor and i think it's funny.

Pro gamers tend to have a bit more leeway. This is evident in the big image compilation of Idra's infractions; one of the mods says "Given who you are you are given a bit more leeway than the average poster, but..."
Anyways it's not really a bad thing as long as they aren't flaming or something.

Yeah, my asshole isn't tight enough already, either. Everyone that doesn't type at least a fully paragraph should get instantly banned.

This interview sounds really really awkward..lots of silent moments. Sounds more like a guy trying to start a conversation with a girl than an actual interview.
I think you should work on your questions a little more and have follow up questions because you offer really simple questions and once she answers you're like ok.. then ask another short question.

Lol, you are calling for a ban for that? You sure you would have been of the same opinion if it wasn't Naniwa?

Hmm... I guess this guy should get temp banned.

You're reading way too much into it. He didn't actually say anything rude to anyone, it seems he was just joking around. Someone who simply says "Great Job!" should get temp banned if Naniwa were to based on post length. You are not required to say something positive so saying Great Job really doesn't have any more credibility than a joke, and it's not like he was flaming anyone.
Now it looks like I'm reading too much into it but seriously... it's not a big deal.

Naniwa, can Mayan interview you in person at MLG Columbus? I feel like that would be a good time. Anyone else want to be interviewed for fun? Give me a good reason and I will make it happen.
|
I'm going to refrain from getting into the nature and point of the interviews this time around and say that you did better than last time. The questions were more on-point and sensible, there was no constant, "Yeah, I agree" or noticeably stupid statements, you did have a repetitive question in there in the middle when you asked her how she got into Starcraft 2 and why she liked it, when you had already asked the first part before. So yeah, your interviewing was noticeably better this time around, still some minor stuff to work out.
As for the female tournaments thing, I'm sticking to my earlier statements so far, as long as there's no significant cash prizes, it's fine. It only becomes problematic when there is any significant money to be made by being a professional female gamer and playing in female only tournaments, such segregation becomes problematic if the prize pool grows because it gives female gamers access to more money than their male counterparts regardless of their level of skill in comparison.

why would he wanna interview me, im not female.:<

Nice job with the interview, way better than before, you need to work on your transitions a bit more but it was a good job overall.
Good interview, cool player, nice job! Should really interview megumixbear though!

OR ARE YOU!?
No, you're not... But I hear you're pretty good at Starcraft 2, maybe it has something to do with that.

I thought it was going to be an interview with Floe, the overweight troll pro Fighting Game player from Chicago.
I'm so glad it wasn't.

I'm so glad it wasn't. Why would there ever be an interview with a pro fighting game played in the SC2 forum?

Man, Naniwa is so professional and well mannered.
As for the interviews, I like the effort; bringing new people into the public spotlight is cool, I guess, even if most people don't care too muc.

you should work on your speaking, your tone isn't very confident and you don't project your voice very well most of the time i feel that you are a bit too passive as an interviewer, you should try to make the experience a bit more engaging, almost as if you are just regurgitating last week's responses.
you have a great idea here, but i think i'd like to see you be more proactive in the conversation like maybe if you guys played some team games together (again, merely an example, you can do whatever you want). while you talked about these topics and watch that dynamic etc...
i would really enjoy maybe seeing your personality at least in your conversation, like no one really remembers you, only the people you are interviewing (also cuz they're female). you kind of just drone on while being extremely agreeable throughout...if you see what i'm saying.
you have a little bit of a lisp as well.
edit: for example the segment from around 9 minutes-12 minutes was kind of funny, i would have really seen to ask some wacky shit here (obviously keep it non weird), and your transition into gameplay (serious) next part was really good. more of the interview should be like that.

We could always dress you up in women's clothing and a wig during an interview. Im sure that would be popular with the community.

This chick loves Nike SB, sending much love to her for that

I'm gonna pull a Juwanna Man

Would really appreciate if those interviews were done via webcam so you can SEE how the person is reacting while ya doin' the interview. like this it's not better than any text interview. still pretty okayish interview, thanks for that.
