Everyone knew it was going to change o_O How is it bad?

im pretty excited bout new units in the multiplayer. not too excited bout the campaign cause its zerg. can't wait for the protoss one. i wish they make protoss first o well.

oh.my.god. I love you, TL.

All the RPG elements seem to be an improvement, the campaign will even top the WoL campaign if the story is going to be epic and I'm sure it will be epic. But I'm more interested in mp release some informations Blzzard please ;D

uhh yeah of course its going to have a seperate ladder if it is a different game.. it will be like when brood war came out.also they said they are going to take away units if they add in new ones, which is sweet. I wouldn't mind seeing reapers go + overseers, they are pretty useless. carriers could probably be switched out for something else too they never get used multiplayer.

That was always going to happen. SC and BW had seperate ladders, D2 and D2LoD likewise, WC3 and TFT likewise. What in the world made you think that this would be any different?
And perhaps they want to get HotS/LotV out sooner than 5 years after WoL so that they don't have to balance around units that don't exist yet.

They dodged the LAN question with an impressive wall of text.
I think they said quite clearly that they rather spend resources on improving B.net instead of adding Lan support. They also seem to think that they can improve it to a point where it becomes a non-issue. Whether one believes in this or not is a different question.

I don't mind about the separte ladders. I'm concerned that they decided to change the multiplayer (the rules!) and worse, that we have to buy the expansions to keep playing the game that's going to be used on tournaments.
My opinion: KEEP the multiplayer the same, mess around with the campaign all you want.
|
We need a bigger picture of kerrigans backside (than the one on the frontpage), or im not buying!
|
I'm actually pretty curious about the campaign in HotS. I really really hope they don't mess this up.
I still don't understand why they do not provide LAN. It really can't be that much of a hassle to implement can it?

You: 1 The entire rest of the world: 6,000,000,000
This is a numbers game I don't think you'll be winning :x

so were there no Bnet features on it? I remember friends and I used to complain alot cause we couldnt host LAN parties at his house cause there was no LAN function. anyone know if there's gonna be LAN embedded into this one?

Not confident in Blizzard to improve the quality of competitive SC2. Reading Zelniq and many posts like his makes me feel that these opinions are probably a small minority that Blizzard would just ignore forever. I don't mind the casual focus/marketing when it comes to single player, but whatever happened to the simple to play, difficult to master ethos that many competitive games espouses?
The zergling/roach ideas are bland and probably not good indicators for what they are doing with multiplayer, but it doesn't seem like they have any decent ideas of how to fix some of the issues players and viewers have.
I really hope I am wrong on that. If Blizzcon comes around and Blizzard even demonstrate a remote ounce of sense in making SC2 a better esports platform, it will be the happiest crow I've ever had to eat.

I'd be willing to bet that the Rapture will come before they remove Carriers. Such an iconic figure for Protoss.

more units in multiplayer = more swarmy zergplay. Zerg should be super fast evolving race, but we can only morph 3 uni, zerglings, overlords, corruptors (sic!). It's too few to call zerg fast evolving race. It would be fun to see some changes in MP.

judging by the interview it sounds like this will definately be a 2012 release.
