MYM is proud to announce the reinforcement of their StarCraft II squad as Benjamin `Dahli' Bredal and Jonas `Pythonas' Bredal will represent our organization in team leagues. They are Danish, brothers and ready to kick some 2v2 ass!
Our StarCraft II division is currently participating in several team leagues such as the EG's Master's Cup Series, SC2CL as well as Crota Team League just to name a few. In our recent clan wars, we lost some precious points because of the 2vs2 games which are not the main straight of Carlo `ClouD' Giannacco and Christoph `Mondragon' Semke. In order to become more efficient, we have decided to hire one of the best 2vs2 teams in the world.
In fact, the Danish brothers, Benjamin `Dahli' Bredal and Jonas `Pythonas' Bredal will now have the tasks to play the 2vs2 matches in our future clan wars. The Danish brothers are currently ranked 5th in the world ranking and we are confident that they will help us win important matches.
You can find below the statements from our beloved captain as well as Dahli:
Statement from Christoph `Mondragon' Semke, MYM.SC2 captain: We are really happy to welcome the Danish brothers Dahli and Pythonas in MYM. One of our core problems was the 2on2 in each clanwar. We barely ever won a 2on2 which made us fall behind in every clanwar. With Dahli and Pythonas we have the best possible solution regarding our problem and since we know them from BroodWar already, we know that they fit to us perfectly and that they will bring home a lot of points in our future clanwars. Thanks for teaming up with us
Statement from Benjamin `Dahlii' Bredal:
We have represented many good teams throughout our SC:BW career, but never a team with the same prestige as MYM. We are therefore proud to finally be a part of this professional organisation, and are looking forward to represent MYM in various top leagues. We went inactive from SC:BW back in 2006, and made a comeback to the gaming scene with the release of SC2 at spring 2011. This is the start of a new beginning for us, and we expect to show the same top gaming level as we did in 2000. MYM line-up:
1v1: Mondragon ClouD XlorD SaSe ParanOid
2v2: Dahli(Zerg) Pythonas(Terran)
We would like to take this opportunity to wish them a great time in their new home

Crazy. I wonder if this will be the new direction for SC teams? Good luck to these two and MYM though, it will be interesting to watch how 2v2 develops
Oh Dahli you're still alive! Didn't know you were playing sc2 hehe. Gl to you guys.
Awesome! and they're danes too, we need more of them in the scene.
Love watching Select play 2's on his stream and I hope this adds to the scene a bit. Good luck to both you guys! :D
That's crazy and also super cool, looking forward to see them play in EGMC
also nice to see more danes =D
Nice pickup!
Really awesome to see teams putting more emphasis on their 2v2 lineups; the future may hold a plethora of competitive sc2 formats, which can only help the game!
With big team leagues including 2v2 it was only a matter of time until teams started recruiting strong 2v2 players. It will be interesting to see how many other top teams follow suit, and how 2v2 will develop competitively.

Anyone know how good they were in BW? I wish Testie would stop playing HoN and join MYM for SC2 to restart the unbeatable Mondi/Testie 2v2 team

Testie is like legend in BW ;(

Awesome duo! I wonder about the legendary danish WC3 2v2 duo as well but I guess they've gotten too old for this stuff

Testie used to be the best foreign bw player for quite a long time. He was also part of the seemingly unbeatable Mondragon/Testie 2on2 team.
Old school 2v2^^ They were pretty good in bw 2v2. I'd say right under the top.

Yea, I used to do 2's with kain-the-feared and i remember losing a lot of games to testie/mondi. I'm hoping these guys can do a little better than the EG pickups. Watching no-names is never as fun as watching a person I've been following for quite awhile and if the no-names don't crush hard at the start it's going to be painful.

They were one of the top 2v2 teams for a long time. I think they played most of their games for ash. in WGTCL/BWCL etc.
those guys look baller! <3 MYM, gl with the new addition!
really happy to see major team hire up good 2v2 player instead of mixing 2 1v1 player and hope for the best.
Hope more team does that and we can get some great 2v2 game
I was told testie was a known map hacker, is that true or total bs?
Awesome! Congrats MYM for the great pickups.
This is pretty great for us team players, always good to see it in action in a professional league setting. By the way anyone know where I can find top level 2v2 replays?

Of course it is, when SC2 was released it just felt weird having a CW without a 2v2 match at the end...

yeah he cheated when he started out. he learnt his lesson though and put out really good results on lan to clear his name. he hacked a long time ago but people make mistakes when their young.
anyway yeah I remember these guys from bw, I remember them joining a really big team at one point, ESC. or xLo.maybe, not sure.

When they were in FT.aCt) in pgt/hiccup they were A+ together in 2s then both were capable of B+/A- in 1;1.

Same. Nick is taking his sweet ass time. There is no talking sense into the guy. He marches to the beat of his own drum and always will, lol.
I think this really cool for the 2v2 community. Looking forward to seeing some good games!
heehehe good luck to them, not suprised they're terran and zerg since that combo dominates 2v2 atm
Awesome! Very good 2v2 players and they almost look my age... good stuff, hope this marks the beginning of an attitude change towards the awesomeness that is 2v2.
GL!
really glad to see 2v2 being mroe explored by teams/tournaments... has the potential to be very exciting matches
best of luck to dahli/pythonas!
Hooray 2v2! I'm really excited to see how the 2v2 game evolves now that it's getting a little more attention via the EG MCSL.
That looks pretty solid, I was noticing that the 2v2 department for MYM in the EG Masters cup was a little low, with players dedicated to 2v2 you guys should do a hell of a lot better...GL with the new additions
one can only <3 TL community ^_^
I remember you guys from broodwar!
Nice to see you guys are still active and gl & hf in the 2v2's

hahaha omg <3 u guys pythonas and dahli it is awesome to see you playing competitively again :D:D
This is great news for 2v2 and SC2 in general! It's good to know the scene is still expanding so much that teams can afford to pick up players not just dedicated to 1v1. I can't wait to see how 2v2 develops, and hopefully we'll get some great games from these guys :D
WTB showmatch vs protech and Power please.
I much prefer this approach of recruiting dedicated 2v2 players instead of burdening your 1v1 players with it, or even worse, order one of your "weaker" 1v1 players to become a dedicated 2v2 player like the Koreans did in BW.
Looking forward to the next MYM EGMaster's Cup match, will definitely try to catch that now.
Anyone got any vods of testi + mondragon 2v2? I really want to watch a game or two.
It's pretty lol how SeleCT and OptikZerO has become top 10 2v2 in the world in just a matter of weeks ^^
so glad 2v2 is starting to get some popularity

Yea for sure, and the fact they are brothers only makes it that much sweeter. You know they enjoy what they are doing and I think that will definitely reflect in the play. Now all that remains is 2v2 -> Bo3 format. And cool picture Goodluck!
This is awesome. It's always good to see teams moving in the direction of an actual "team," where people have specific roles, rather than just a group of talented players.
Cool to see a team adding a 2v2 team, especially with them being brothers.
Hope it works well for MYM & the team.
Hmm I guess as more and more team leagues implement 2v2 it will become more important to have a good 2v2 team with all the other guys being to busy practicing 1v1

Haha ya, but at the same time having pro mechanics like they do is a huge advantage... not to say 2v2 players can't get it as well, but I can't imagine most 2v2 players practice as much.
One thing I was confused about when I saw them playing together however is the fact that they paired up of all people. I just wouldn't have even pictured them being friends or really knowing each other to begin with.
Very cool! I wonder if other teams will follow suite, or if other team already feel comfortable with whatever 2v2 they can throw out. Maybe some teams don't even care.
This gets me really excited. 2v2 is so sick.
I think this will result some other team/clan add 2v2 player to their roster.
And it will result more stable anti cheese/ non-cheese game in 2v2
hope to see some 2v2s replays in the team's website! nice news

Please do! There aren't nearly enough good, high-level 2v2 replays floating around, especially since there are so many more match ups. It would also help casters that need more experience with 2v2, and get more people interested if the replays are exciting enough
got some replays? i really wonder what top 2v2 looks like.
Excited for a 2v2 team being picked up by a team!

Well anyway, I'm glad to see MYM grow and I hope they can put out some nice results. Good luck guys!

Congrats to MYM, interesting to see how a major team picking up two players for 2v2 specifically will play into 2v2 in the pro-scene.
Fuck yes! More danes to the scene allways makes me happy.
It's really cool to see 2v2 become part of the game and to see team's starting to consider 2v2 players. Gratz to both the players and the team.
dosent look promissing at all....
both low/middle master in 1v1 with very average stats...

I'm sure they're a good team, but yeah, really really strong 1v1 players can usually just wing it and beat dedicated 2v2 players who don't have good enough mechanics to approach grandmaster 1v1.
SeleCT and optikZero thrashing proTech and his friend over and over again comes to mind.
But it would be totally cool if these guys buck this (super anecdotal) trend.
