Hi!
I'm currently working on a painting of Sarah Kerrigan. You probably know the Artwork from Blizzcon 2010, where The Queen of Blades is born. I'm redrawing it on a 118 x 80 cm paper and i'm 20% done (though Kerrigan herself isn't finished yet) I created this topic for a bit feedback and i'm interested in you opinion. It won't be finished soon, but i'll maybe update the photo of the painting, if there are a few that like it.
my deviantart.com gallery
so, here's a version close to the actual status (it doesn't show the whole painting, the cocoon on the ground isn't drawn yet so i didn't take it onto the photo) so, what is ready (always look at the last update, the sentences below will be changed after each update): - the face - the legs - the breasts and the little part over it - the hands, one of the arms - the carapace on the belly is complete - the shoulders
what's not ready - the other arm :D - the hair (only a few) - the background of course - the wings
so, here is a very old version
this one's after some time :D
UPDATE: somewhere in the beginning of june...
i think i am finished with the body sorry for the quality. the original is a bit darker... and clearer
pls ignore the dashes and the green background between her legs, just had to add a layer to cover a little mistake :D
Update 26.6.2011: so, i finished one arm and made little progress on her torso and finished the shoulders.
again, sorry for the reflecting on her belly, dunno why it is sticky... i didn't do anything to the colors before :D so the center of her belly will be a bit darker...
Update 9. july 2011: So, i finished the shoulders, the belly, the legs and started detailing the hair. it's to metallically now, so i will add brown to them too make them look more organic. also i finished one arm.

i noticed something: are the arms on the original artwork too long?

her legs, belly, face, breasts are officially finished! :>

15 and so talented o_o I remember when i was looking for an art medium...Traditional painting was so irritating and hard. And you're so amazing with it.Truely inspirational.
Really great project ,can't wait to see the end result!

thx =) believe me, traditional art is more simple than digital D:
depends on what you've been doing...

the only annoying thing on that pic is that i had to paint every single hair :3
I dunno ,i've been doing digital for a bit and it's quite simple.Nevertheless ,it's probably an individual preference thing. :3 Again ,great project!.
Thx =) the best thing about digital art is that you can experiment with it and remove mistakes and stuff. it doesn't matter how much time you spend on trying to remove watercolor from paper, you won't get good results :D
For 20 percent done this is quite awesome! But might I ask, are you doing this for fun, or is it some sort of project for a class of something along those lines?
That is really good. You have great talent.
c'mon man , get a prettier pic to draw from haha.

very beautiful already cannot wait to see the finished project.

Dude that is sick, you could scan that and make it into a sick ass wallpaper, would need to resize it though, love the fading.

i am drawing/painting for fun and i do it almost every day. i wouldn't try to create something good for school, because they force you to do it and and that's not the sense of it.
Make art, or just try it like me, if you want, and not if some bitch tells you to do it so that a work you put so much effort in gets meaningless to you, because you didn't really want to make it, but that's just me :D

A question: do you mean the "crap" option serious? if yes, pls say what i have done wrong, it could help to improve the painting.

I don't agree with the colours you used on the bottom of the painting. But all and all 4 stars, good work.

What's really amazing is... You will never need porn in your adult life! :O Just draw it!

Damn, that there is one prettylooking painting, even if it's unfinished. *o*
Oh, and fellow (aspiring) artist here! *raises hand*

I don't remember how Blizzard draws her, but in yours, her boobs seem so high up...
If that's how they draw her though, it looks great to me.

i'm not in a position to copy art, but who cares :D
one question: the proportions and the contures are right, exactly how on the original, but are the breasts a bit strange? i mean, the original breasts look pretty much the same. any thoughts?
Wow that looks really cool. Certainly better than the Blizzard Artwork -_-. Love how badass she looks. Like a true Zerg Queen.
I still don't like the bright colors on her legs but I still think it's very very good work.
And yes, her breasts are too orb like. Though you could say human breasts aren't perfect spheres I think you can take some creative license since its the Queen of Blades and not a normal female.
You post this finished on dA and you'll have more watches than a freaking clock store.
Easily 5 stars. Nice one.
The feet and that odd flower thing below are pretty bad, otherwise it's great.
Its good, though it reminds me of Phoenix (X-men) a little too much. Amazing detail though. Keep it up.
neat paining. Her right boob is def bigger than her left though. But, i think that can be normal irl. good work. ^^
I've noticed that you've put in a considerable amount of effort into this painting than your other ones (guessing its because you wanted to share with the community =D ). Keep being diligent and you'll be able to put out a fairly impressive painting. For a 15 year old it is also great that your starting up painting (specifically) so early.
EDIT: BTW the boobs are slightly off their mark. Noticed you guys were posting about it. It's alright to use existing art for reference but I highly suggest you read up on anatomy books so that you can do perfect proportions with little effort. Otherwise you end up with this situation where some body parts are slightly off, which throws off the entire painting unless you were aiming to have disproportional figures.
wow! You've got some amazing talent. Don't throw it away
Wow thats quite something. Keep up the good work :D

ht estrange flowerthing is the cocoon and the color is right, it's the same compared to the original and it's because of the lightning. ignore the cocoon pls, it's just some random color

as long as they mean it seriously i'm okay with it. if they just do it for fun they're assholers, because i started this poll for critique and i take it serious... doesn't matter
thx again for the feedback!
Sorry, didn't have the time for upload. i finished the right arm and will update the picture tomorrow (the hair will be recolored, because it looks pretty much grey, but i need it to be brown...
I voted 4 because it looks quite good when you don't examine any on thing, but it doesn't look completely finished. I am eager to see what the final product will be. GL!
Looks wicked, great work.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the face. Looks a bit weird and out of place... Reminds me more of the adjutant than the Queen Bitch :x
Other than that, I love it! Awesome colours :D
EDIT: Ahkay, not your fault then
thx for all the comments. as i said, the contures are exactly like on the original artwork. on the original she doesn't look like sarah kerrigan, neither the face, nor the body is from sarah. So i'm just drawing what i see on the original :D
finished the shoulders :>
Extremely good art here, sir. Especially for your age. This is amazing, no matter how old you are.
you've "borrowed" the pose but the painting skill is quite good. Hair and appendages could use more work though.

Dude this is amazing. me likey
Also i know this sounds weird but since im a girl, i would know. The boobs are a little bit too far apart. they should be closer together or you can just make them bigger. (haven;t read page 2 - 4 so im not sure if someone said this yet)
but its still 5 stars!
It's really good! I wanna give it a 5/5 but for some reason I feel like it needs some kind of background. Were you planning on leaving it white?
I'd prefer something more original. I don't see the point in copying existing art like that.
I understand it's much harder to do it from scratch though and even just copying isn't actually easy, but still... 4/5 for effort, 1/5 for originality
I don't actually know anything about art so please don't take me too seriously.
I'm far from an art critic but I love her face, especially the eyes. Gives a 'zergy' feeling that I think Kerrigan should have had in SC2. Overall looks really good as well.
This stuff is amazing.
Seriously working with paint is so incredibly hard and if you can master doing art in paint, then everything else will be so much easier as other mediums are easier to manipulate/work with and are more forgiving. And once you learn to work wtih paint the rest of them are just so much easier.
huge respect for anyone who can do this kind of stuff
Talented people like you are the reason i left art-school. Which is an awsome thing for you, it just makes me realize that art was not my gift in life.
this is amazing work though, nice job.

Yeah It's not an issue as he did clarify what he's doing.
I still feel like a lot of people who commented on this thread just saw the painting and didn't even read the text. A lot of people ask questions that were answered in the first post, point out things that were adressed there, or just praise the painting as if it's his original work (at least that's what it seemed like to me, might be wrong).
Not his fault though and the painting itself is still great work, especially considering the size of the thing.

dunno what they want, i said, more than 1 time, that i use the original as a reference (hope iot's the right word) if they start to bitch around they'll either should read the description or shut the fuck up.

The only thing I dislike about this painting is that its frontal. I just hate frontal views because they almost always turn out awkward. Otherwise good colour-usage, love the contrast between the yellow and the purple.
thx. also did anyone notice that (not my fault, the original has it too) kerrigans arms are too long, her hands too big (look how she holds her fingers, you can't explain that) the space between her legs is... weird and the boobs are too far from each other... don't blame me :D

and with the human kerrigan from wol i mean the one from the cinematic "the betrayal" ignore her voice actress, her lines, her character etc, only the design :>

the amount of detail is really great! Do you plan to paint something in the background? In my opinion, I don´t think that it would add much to the picture, it would only distract from Kerrigan. The belly region is getting a bit too dark or I would darken her right leg a tiny bit. As it is now, it´s stands out too much.
Looks awesome so far! Keep it up!
i will do a background. you have to notice that the position of her legs are different. her right knee is pointing towards you, the left on is straight down
is it bad that the belly region is dark? i'm pretty happy with it.
The level of artwork is very high, but I don't get the imposing malevolent atmosphere that Kerrigan usually has. I guess a background would help very nicely in that regard

Wow, I'm severely impressed by your work, mate. I usually dislike comments like those, but... you're only 15? Man, you have YEARS to develop this talent and make a business out of it.
Very, VERY impressive painting. I'm dying to see the final version.

for paint it what meterials u used?

Really impressive painting! I like the level of detail that went into all of the artwork!
Though i agree with the people above, can't wait to see a little bit of a background ontop of this!

thank you very much =) y, i am improving every half year significantly (if i look back to old picks i laugh at them) :D but i don't look forward to make much money with it or to do it as a job... more like a hobby :>

there will be tons of background and the (for me frustrating, for you... interesting) problem is, that the background has more detail than kerrigan herself :D i kinda kidded me when i decided to paint it

You were asking earlier about the position of the breasts. As of now, it seems a little weird even if the contours are the same as the blizzard one. The reason is that the blizzard one is textured so it seems that her bust is pushed forward and her shoulders are drawn back. The same reasoning applies to her left thigh which seems a little too broad on your drawing but seems ok on the original (where the bending of the knee is clearer).
Nothing that won't be corrected when you put the final touch
Sorry if my explanation isn't very clear, english is not my forte.

Who voted anything below 4 stars? You'd have to be picky as hell to choose 4, but at least it seems possible. 3 and below is just stupid...

I like it except for her face, having no expression whatsoever makes her a bit uninteresting.

Whether you are 15 or not I will compare to other artists.
And comparing to other artists I think this is good. Not only in the lines and color, but when I look at this painting I feel something. Maybe that's just because I've played Starcraft for more than a decade. I really feel the whole "queen bitch of the universe" vibe, but at the same time there is a certain sadness to it, and a degree of body horror that is inherant in all things Zerg.
It's no Da Vinci. Technically speaking, the lighting needs work. I think maybe more could have been done with the pose/posture/expression to deepen the feeling. But I think it is very good. I'll give you a "4-", basically somewhere between 3.5 and 4.0 is my feeling.
Looks amazing - IMO the face looks kind of off though but still looks really good

It just doesn't. there's no reason for it. It's no different from people voting 1 out of 10 for great movies on imdb and things like that.
Just look at this for example.. The Dark Knight.. no one can honestly say it's a 1/10 movie. It's simply impossible. There's so many aspects to it that you'd have to recognize as exceptional even if you don't like the theme or the characters or whatever. But still, notice the strangely high amount of people giving the movie a 1/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/ratings
They just vote for that because they can, there's no objective reasoning behind it, so just ignore it.
It's obviously great work, especially considering the scale, and I don't see any problems with it. There's no doubt that you need a lot of skill to paint something like that even if it doesn't come from your imagination.
ps: there's also people who will vote for the maximum possible score without thinking about it objectively, so it usually balances out with the people giving the worst possible score. so average is where it's usually at.

It's not crap. You will always get trolls voting 1 star or 1/10. Ignore them. They're just trying to make you question your own skill at artwork behind the mask of the internet.
thx =) but i think that not everyone of them are trols, there are some with an objective opinion about it and they think they can do it better or just know what's wrong with the technigue etc.

this painting is more important to me than my iMac, my Battle-net account and all the money i have :D i'm srsly serious, because i didn't do ever such things in that scale, it's really hard and exhausting, but i would probably sell it, if someone's interested. it's not just because of the money for the work, but because of the fact that someone likes it that much that he would pay for it. that's really important for me, because i's the greatest thing if the audience loves your work

Also may we use this on our streams? Do you have a version with watermark that we can use?

sorry, thx for what? you thank me for the time and effort putting into this to show it? sorry :D which contributions? i think, if i understand it right, that you can use it, i allow it, but can you explain that a bit more exactly? "use it on our streams"
sorry, my english isn't really good, so i may not understand everything (the meaning of it)
@Stipulation btw, did i answer a question before or is it your first post in this thread?
a few weeks to go till i have to finish the hair and her left arm =)
Very cool. Great to see people working with traditional medium. Love the watercolor look, and very solid drawing too. I am also impressed you are 15, self taught and working very hard. I was a lazy bum when I was 15 :D
Looking forward to see the finished painting!

thx =) yes, it's sad that most artists only use digital art now =(

will be away for a month in a few days, so no updates till then (╯°□°)╯
Keep updating when you come back, I'll steal this to use as a cellphone wallpaper once you're finished :p
Holy shit, for being a 15 year old you have alot of talent. This is really good! Keep it up!
i'm back :D yes, you can use it as whatever you want, but pls tell me, not because i will prob. not allow it, just because i want to thank you for liking it :3
Looks like it is form a horror movie :b
15 years old? wow u have talent kid!!
thx =)
@tedde93
is it good or bad that she looks this way? she is supposed to look a bit angry and scary... just as the original :D
And you are 15? Very good painting. You have talent!
Yeah the comment of being 15 at the end surprised me. Keep up the hard work and dedication! I know it takes a lot of patience to see a painting of that detail through to the end.
15 years old ? Keep doing this you're very talented. Great work.
thx again for all the positive comments! =)
Well Done and keep on going you have a talent or this!
Absolutely stunning, great work, especially considering your age. Keep it up! :D
Hopefully new updates in next month...
i pulled the painting back into my room... that's a big step, hoping to start painting in a few weeks after i have finished my poison-tv collage (from the Telephone video -Lady GaGa)
got a new Kerrigan pic, it's almost finished. a4 colored pencils.
Doesn't quite look like her imo but still great.
dude, you're 15?
why isn't there a "off the scale" option in the poll?
you're seriously talented.
This is awesome! I <3 Kerrigan. But you got some talent, keep it up!
It's good, but I would be more impressed if they weren't copies of other pictures. Also, part her left leg should be visible in front, even if she's pointing it backwards.

srsy :D you mean that the leg that is more away from us has to be visible near her belly (i mean left on the paper/picture)
i changed the face because she looks kinda stupid here http://diablo.incgamers.com/gallery/data/610/kerrigan-poster.jpg
so, ignore the coloring of the suit, i didn't give a shit about it was to lazy to mix grey and orange etc :D
i think she looks /face only) prettier on my picture than on the original, the face expression of the original lokks kinda... weird /stupid

thank you :D no there isn't and there won't be, but there is a "crap" option for haters xoxo love all of ya, pretty bitches <3
Wow, that's pretty sick. You're very good. GJ!
lol 666 voted five star... adds to the creepyiness of the painting nice job
thx again for all the comments. i have to say that this project is halted, but not cancelled. i have other projects now and will probably continue on it when spring is coming (more time = profit)
Thx for all the support <3
Gosu painting skillz. 5 stars!
Wow amazing work! Great job!
Let's see some original works of yours. Your technique is decent, but until your own creations come about, I wouldn't ask for critique. It could be another Kerrigan picture, but your own take and style with a different pose. THAT is something that people can judge your skills by.

nah, portraits are meant to be exactly like the object you are seeing, and so am i. i am selftaught and 15 and i still don't have enough experience to construct a body perfectly (anatomy, proportions) until i can't do portraits good enough it is pointless to move on to "portraits" without "template" (hope it means what i mean, my english isn't the best)
thank you =) notice there are some unfinished drawings/painintgs the newest on for example is one of the unfinished ones
thinking about doing a collage when hots comes out, so that i have some more scenes i can paint. kerri is still halted, sry :/
So, after a half of a year of inactivity, i'll finally start working on kerri<3 again. i have 2 weeks off, so stay tuned for updates, hopefully i'll do some progress! and thx again for the tremendous support and feedback, for spending yoür time to comment and criticize <3 <3 <3
Greetings, Denda ® †

thank yoü, i will finish her arms, and then move on to her hair and wings. maybe i will even start doing the detail on the background around her...
BUT i have done many other paintings in stuff in the meantime, for example this shit
Nice painting for sure
So excited for the final product! Has been looking sick so far!!!! :D
thx again, feel free to post yoür personal work here too!
and iƒ ya interested in a commission, just ask!
and dafuq went the edit function of my first post in this thread? does it disappear when the post is too old???

boom, what a blast, tbh i dont like the usage of too blackish colors into the palette still great piece
u using watercolors?
kerrigan is watercolor.... i know the hair is to dark, i said i will change it and give it a brown more organic look =))
edit function problem anybodey?
little update: both arms readeeey, i also started using colored pencils, to add detail more quick, and also white watercolor isn't as bright as a pencil could do.
For a watercolor and for your age that 's definitely 5/5. The gaga picture is really great too (professional looking), but I guess the hair directly above the forehead looks a bit strange.

gaga wore a really short pony here, and the strange thing on the left on her head is a horn (she wore 4 of them for some time)
glad yoü like it =)
little kerrigan drawing finally finished dina4 colored pencils only
started the original painting again, update soon, making hair + throne <3
thx it was posted like 10x times already <3
btw thx for posting the comparison pic! i only have a little copy on dina$ of the whole thing and i couldn't see the detail there. btw this cocoon on the ground kills me
little update. it's really hard to make those effects with traditional art, as the colors are not as shiny as if painted digitally (like the original) i give my best and will add even more detail and try to catch the slimy look. ofc it's not a perfect copy, but i am more or less happy with it and nothing's finished, so pls w8 till i finshed everything before judging it. if you find mistakes pls tell me, i can overwatch them on over 1 meter big paper
thx in advance!
Wow I really like the Hots Kerrigan <3 Great work dude
thank you <3 is the cocoon okay or do i have to add even more detail? not sure if i will survive the whole thing
last update for today made all this in a few hours, a bit rough details, reflections etc will be added soon for comparison...
today morning
a few hours later....
more or less happy ofc arts will be tuned and reworked
very impressive, maybe the guy who did the anatomy of the zerg could make some comments on this?
thank yoü :> i don't think he has much good to say about this, even though i tried to make as many details as possible like on the original (i made every single fuc**** hair she has in the exact same way) but still there will be some nuances, i'm not a hyperrealist... i just hope that the painting stands for itself and will look good, so it doesn't have to be compared to the original all the time...
little update, focussing on cocoon now, the blue slime isn't ready at all just a basic foundation for the rest of the layers to come. will add more shades/reflexions/effects to it overall, as it looks not as slimy/alive as i want to
let me know what you think, thx again for all your support and for tolerating this thread, even though it's a bit off-topic
edit: the second pic is just for showing that i made the hair less metallic, added brown to it :>
btw ANYONE can post his kerrigan or even SC related art here, so the thread won't be boring for the most
the hair is gonna be SO SICK
to paint? yes :D will take me probably the most + the bones on the walls, still trying to add white + more dark shadwos & contrasts for the slimy look :/ help anyone?
thank you. i will stop to thank every single post but throw some more, so the thread doesn't grow over 100 unnecessary pages and doesn't annoy the top active threads on the left side...
last update for today
started adding the slime to her arms
finished the part under her arms <3
woohhouuuu finally i've made a whole WIP photograph, which shows the whole thing i hope you like it
edit: lol i photoshoped so bad, i layered 2 verisons of the photos above, because i made 2, so one of them is a "close-up" and more hq... ignore the part where the wings start to blurr, to lazy to change angle of the pic via PS
Wow, I never really looked at this thread, I never realised it was an ongoing project.
I like the texture of the slimy thing she is coming out of!
Yes. You're an amazing artist, this looks great!
thank you, yes the cocoon was hard to make, i wanted to make it look slime. it was hard es hell, glad to see it paid off a bit :D
i keep on updating this thread but i think i will post less "cuz no1currrrrrr" about fanart :D at least about mine, but thanks for checking out!
i can't edit my first post tho, where i wanted to pst the finished one later ._. ir can i?
edit, @Praetorial thank yoü very much :3
Keep up the good work man!
I think everything is exceptional, but the hair itself could use more work.
Good painting, but stating your age is irrelevant. All that matters is how hard you try to improve, not how old you are or how long you've been doing it. People will compare you to your peers in the art community regardless of whether you want them to or not.
@ zmansman17
thank you,, yes the hair isn't finished yet, only the parts that are detailed, more to come, or do you think even the detailed around the head is still shitty? thx for the advice!
@lionhermit
yes they will always compare it, but still i am improving and i want to and every artist will improve his whole live, as long as he wants to

People like you, with your artsy fartsy, are going to be the ones who cause the leaders of the world in a hundred years, on the brink of declaring thermonuclear war on everything, to just drop their jaw and say: "Damn, think of all the beautiful things I'll be destroying!" and promptly drop their weapons, shake hands with their enemies, and drink the the greatness of the human spirit.
Which is to say...

i don't even know if i should take this irony as a compliment but with my english i do with some suspicious thoughts <3 am i artsy fartsy wtf dude i try my best
@LeSioN i use watercolors and watercolor-pencils. with the pencils it it much easier, believe me, you just have to draw layers of them put water over them and so on repeat those steps as long as you wish to get the effect you want, it's not too hard

16 as of now :OOO glad you like it <3 omg i'm doing this shit 2 years already i almost have forgotten about ti for some time had other projects, yes stay tuned will update this thread for the next weeks as i will continue the work!
i feel this thread is on the road to irrelevance < / 3
I like how you made her attractive, yet still terrifying. You didn't fall victim to making her look like she put her face through a wood chipper, or make her look like a complete dominatrix/ sex toy. Very well done.
thank you very much, you know the original do you? i think she looks more attractive there but i didn't want to make her face too white because it looks like make-up compared to her body so i made it darker
This painting looks amazing, regardless of age. I would love to see more of your art!
thx again, i hope this isn't considered as "promo" if it is i will remove the link

i know the resemblance and the level of detail in those portraits is overwhelming i wanted to express kerrigans inn state in both forms, where her melancholic eyes are in focus, stating her search for her true personality and dreams. lol she has the same look in both pics but anyway
You have great talent, but I feel her face is a bit weird and I assume the hair tentacles are not finished yet
glad u like it c: the hair is ofc not finished, only basic, transparent color bashed on the places where those dreads will be what's wrong with the face? i tried to keep the proportions etc as close as it is in the org. painting ._.
or did u men dis feice?
its as detailed as it can be dis is tru art tbh <3
Love the perky boobs. That's all she needs .
But on a serious note! VERY nice painting! Good job sir!
Thx c: pls don't view kerrigan as a sex-object she deserves more than that <333
little update on it in fact the new places are just color bashing, so no details or effects jet even the colors aren't quite right but i made some detail on already exisiting parts
sorry for cam quality :D
and i need some help i am not really experienced and the paper starts to "crease" itself if there is too much water on it well stupiditiy i worked on one place for too long and didn't let it dry
is there any way to remove them without destroying it?
edit 4 fun:
Kerrigans infested HotS-look
Update: started with the background. Sorry for annoying with updates :D
That looks pretty badass so far dude. Really excited to see it completed. ^^
It looks amazing dude, can't wait to see it finished.
Thx for the feedback! Any criticism is appreciated, have noticed the right leg (from our point of view) has a strange shape over the knee, will fix it later.
pretty beast. also 15yrs old? R U KIDDING ME
16 by now. Am still learning and trying to make less mistakes :D
Update:
i fixed the lighting a bit and made the face more symmetrical. added tons of details and started working on the hair. i was on the edge of giving up as i destroyed some parts but they are okay now for me at least.
close-up of the face (i need to fix the eyes, the one looks different)
+ Show Spoiler +
added reflexion to the hair, slime on the hair, details and lighting on the face etc.
Very nice improvements! I like what you did to the face. Looking forward to everything being completed.
the painting is very good, even more impressive if you're so young
the post is however kind of begging for appreciation with this poll... don't do it, if it's good you're going to get recognition anyways.
@Ctesias thank you! will improve more
@totauksz
thank you. tl has many talented artist and i wanted critique. if everything's fine i will look for mistakes myself, but if there is something wrong and many people see it, i would like to hear it. i'm very critical to my work myself, i don't need that appreciation you mentioned. but okay, i mostly got appoval, so i will delete the poll.
i can't edit the main post, sorry. i wanted to delete some stuff anyway.
Still not sure. it doesn't look like the original. should i change everything so it looks like the orginal? cause there are tons of mistakes (lighting colors details etc) or should i do it my own way?

Just do it your own way imo. I'm kind of a wannabe artist so I tell myself I have some insight to these things;) and I experimented out my own style. yours seems like it's made of some kind of water color paint, and the coloring is very nice and subtle, though not as powerful as it could be with oil (that's the limitation of the materials though)
just keep on improving your own style, you'll be one hell of an artist at my age;)
Kk i will just do it so that it looks good, but won't try to kill myself if there are nuances between the org. and my version. (the org. is digital, you just can't have the same effect on paper)
yes this is aquarelle on paper, but i now switched to watercolor pencils on this painting (you draw with them and add water with the paintbrush afterwards, works fine c
i never really tried oil, but i don't even wanna touch it :OO would be a disaster. and yes, the coloring can't be that bright, but i do as much as i can.
thx again c: will do
Put that painting in a museum llol
that isn't constructive criticism :D
but thx, if that isn't irony

Dude, you have serious talent.
No really - keep it up man. At your age you can go anywhere with your life and do anything. There are not many people who can successfully market themselves are great artists. You definitely can and will.
The work isn't perfect ( i'm not artist - in fact i'm terrible at art ) but i say this because you will always need to strive to get better and better if you want to make it in the industry.
I would absolutely buy any art piece from you after seeing that.
Keep showing off your stuff - I see you making an art book of a great game in the future!
Wow can't wait to see the finished product
Good work!

Sorry for the bump! @The Omega thx for the kind words! sorry for not replying back then =( If you have any criticism, please tell me. i upload my work here to get to hear from you guys what to improve c: @Blezza thank u too! I started a new project that is related to this topic. If this is inappropriate, please let me know so i can remove it. Just wanted to share it with you guys c: The big Kerrigan painting is halted as of now, i really don't have the time to work on such a big piece with all the school and stuff. But in the meantime (last 2 years basically) i've been trying to get better at drawing and started a (human/ghost) Kerrigan portrait just today c: Tell me what u think! i know, lots of flaws and tons of stuff to improve. Will also draw the "box art" of Hots later c:
