Also personally i dont like making distinction between female and male sc2 players, thats not a game in which counts pure physical power so everyone can play it unless females have some mind-related issues which prevent them from getting to masters - and as far as i know there are some girls in masters ( i think one is even streaming on TL ) and gms so there is no proof for such difference. She's not low-skill. It's been said so many times that Eve is at least Diamond level, which translates to high masters in NA. Again, also please take into account the cultural differences in Korea regarding the internet and defamation before simply applying western standards to the situation.

Glad to see it worked out, I'd just like people to focus more on the games though.

There is a huge difference between criticism and things which are far worse. Jessica said it herself. And she explained the decision she herself made in choosing Eve; there's more to it than skill. People saying she's "denying more deserving / better players the opportunity" are just plain dense. If that was true you could literally point the finger at every team for "not picking up players that want to be just because of their ladder rank". The post was very well written and deep. Strong words. Slayers HWAITING! Oh and we'll always love Boxer ^o^ <3 ~~~~

That thing in this instance is the chance to be part of Slayers and practice with the pro team. As manager she can recruit anyone she wants. If you were in grandmasters on KR, playing against professionals, how would you feel when your chance to join a team is taken by someone else because she's a girl and you're a guy? I know a lot of people support affirmative action in e-Sports, but I'm not one of them. yes this is why people have to check their information is this information comes from thisisgame.com it was a speculation of the journalist not an actual statement of the team check it for yourself : http://thisisgame.com/board/view.php?id=703754&category=102

It's attitude like this that prevents females from being part of the community to begin with. The concept of just jumping to pronounce failure without giving her any chance whatsoever by seeing female gamers as nothing more than a gimmick.

Boxer and Jessica are always looking for ways to really grow Esports, so it's natural that they'd base some of their decisions in picking players on that goal. You don't always just pick the best non-team player on the server. You pick players that will work well with your practice environment, players with a good attitude, and, really, with any other trait that you think would be beneficial as a whole. Skill is only one aspect of a player.

Eve takes up resources, which means these are fewer resources for other players. Whoever practices with her is going to get next to nothing from the practice, because she's not good enough to put up a fight. She's also going to take up coaching time that would be better used on the players who are actually competing. I'm also guessing the SlayerS house has a finite capacity, so Eve being there means someone else can't be.

Do note that it's indeed only some, theres always bound to be some morons in all bigger communities that love to hide behind the monitor and then group up and attack one of the easier targets, in this case the first girl to be introduced in GSL. In any case I hope both Slayers and Eve do well!

As a fellow female gamer I know what Eve is going through. There are so many male players always telling you that you are either not suppose to play games or that you simply cannot be successful if you are female. That's just total bullshit. Behind screen, mouse and keyboard males and females does have the same options, we are equal. I fully support SlayerS and Eve and I bow before you for taking the initiative to try to bring also female players to the scene and support her. She might not (yet) be a top player but with good and enough training (which SlayerS obviously is able to provide by far) she can become really really good. I will cheer for her like for all the other SlayerS players. Please send her my best wishes and tell her to not be upset or give up. Unfortunately we are still living in times where there are still a lot of areas where females are either not allowed, not equally accepted or undesired. I never gave a shit about this. I'm actually total envious about the face that there are those strict rules in Korea for cyber crimes and that you can sue people for this. Sometimes you simply have to go the hard way of showing people they cannot do everything to you without consequences. Kisses and greetings to the SlayerS team! - obsKura

Female gaming will never be up to par with male gaming. It's like any other sport. It's funny how this is called sexism. When the only reason she was chosen was because she is a female
