(Seriously though, I am sure ForGG will do great...but dang the way people act like BW converts are just going to lay waste to the SC2 scene can be annoying, especially when it has yet to come to fruition. Albeit not with a pro that is as close to his prime as ForGG is. He is probably the first real test to see how well the logic holds up that BW pro = automatic SC2 baller. It will be interesting to watch either way, and I wish him the absolute best and much success).

Timing attacks in Sc2? lol, you haven't seen anything yet.
Nada? July? Boxer?
Yeah, obviously the guy you replied to didn't follow much BW, including the first two bonjwa.
If he meant to say the best BW player switching to SC2 at the time of switching to SC2, he's probably correct.
Boxer and Nada seemed to stop caring about being good at BW by the time they switched to SC2 (in fact, years before that). It wore down on them. Same with July.
ForGG is still a strong BW player even now, which easily makes him one of the best BW players to switch to SC2 AT THE TIME of switching, as opposed to 5-10 years before switching (eg. Boxer, Nada).
lol what? ForGG one of the best BW players? I'd say average. 2010 Record
I never said he was one of the best BW players. I said he was one of the best at the time of switching to SC2. I thought I made that quite clear. lolwut
2010 record. He retired in 2010.
And since that time, he's apparently been playing SC2 "secretly" and has been tearing up the Korean ladder quite handily.
It's only now that he sees he knows the game well enough to come out in public and has joined a pro team.

He already is GM and has been GM for a while under the i.d. Fin on the Korea ladder. He has something like a 70%+ win ratio.

MVP, Nestea, MC, the players who have dominated GSL, they weren't BW pros, right?
None of them were top BW pros, they were all B-teamers and practice partners. Name one A-teamer who has switched and lived up to the hype.
The point is that BW and SC2 are different games. Success in one does not guarantee success in the other, and names like MVP, Nestea and MC PROVE that. They don't disprove it.

You're right, they weren't. At least not well-performing ones.
Not that I have any standards set for ForGG, I just think that's a brainless argument.

Not sure if serious because to my knowledge, MVP has been the only current bw A-teamer to make the switch and he certainly lived up to the hype. So that's 100% hype success rate for bw A-teamers switching and dominating.

And now you're talking about SC2.
Uh no. I didn't say he was the best BW player when he retired. Is English even your first language, or are you trolling? You're truly ignorant if you've never heard of players like Flash, Jaedong, Jangbi, Bisu, Stork, Fantasy, etc. I said among the players who SWITCHED TO SC2, he was one of the best at the time the player switched. Last I checked, Flash did not switch to SC2, so stop implying such idiocy. Meaning when ForGG retired from BW and switched to SC2, he was a pretty decent A-team player. Not more than a couple current SC2 can lay claim to that (in fact, I think only MVP can, and if he was decent as an A-team player is questionable. EDIT: MVP even at his best in BW was not even close to ForGG in 2010), as by 2010, even players like Boxer, Nada, July, had already been dried up for years. Learn to read.

i can just imagine the forums in a few months from now from all the people ignorant of BW to be losing their shit over this guy as if he came out of no where.
then hopefully a heavy hitting BW pro will make the switch n make all their heads explode so we dont have to put up with their posts xD
i hope ForGG picks up the game quickly. im really looking forward to more good BW pros playing sc2 :D
