Edit: Desrow has a lot of fans because of his personality, not his skill level. By sending him to Korea you are isolating the majority of viewers from his stream. He obviously won't make it into Code A. This move just doesn't make sense. I hope Desrow views this as a vacation and doesn't train too hard in Korea. Desrow is paying his own way, so how is this a stupid move by his team O_o. Seems like they have nothing invested beyond the tag he wears on his ID. idn man, I think it's pretty rude to shit all over a dood's dream (that he's paying for) by saying it'd be better spent as a vacation. Isolation and focus can do a lot for an individual. Basically everyone who's trained in Korea has improved, some vastly more than others, so who is to say DesRow won't explode in skill? Huk certainly exploded in skill (mid tier foreigner to top tier world) Why not just wish him luck then laugh quietly to yourself if/when he doesn't meet your internal criteria for training in Korea. also: everyone making snide comments about the low post count people supporting DesRow... shut up, obviously they are legit, pm rich/mod if you want to pursue it further... you can stop pointing it out twice a page. DesRow, I wish you best of luck, and am sure if you stay as dedicated as you have been its only a matter of time before you have a break through.

this is why in starcraft 1 the proteams even tough u could suck alot at starcraft 1 they give u over 1 year before kicking u out of the proteam because it dosent take 1 week 1 months its different for everyperson to undestearnd what they doing and how to get better mechanics / undestearnding of the game / and game sense. so please stop bashing on someone that is going to try to achive something just cause he isnt good at the game at the moment.

Just assume there's an alterior motive behind it. I think the last person I dumped on about going to Korea was someone who was only going to 3 weeks, arguing that was surely too short a time to have any impact. I don't have a history before that.

His stream time is about to change by 12 hours so most of his current viewers won't be able to watch a lot of his content. That's a lot of publicity the team is losing, even if he is paying his own way. Unless he starts placing at tournaments to represent his team, it doesn't seem like a good move. The "isolating the majority of viewers" part of the post you didn't read btw. And he's not even paying his own way, he has a sponsor.

Juan pretty much says it all. The guy is making his best effort to succeed as a pro gamer. So I support that decision and the player 100%. And even though I don't really like Desrow, I respect him for this dedication and sacrifice.

I'v lost alot of respect for Chill. Attitudes like that are the reason people become complacent in life and never expect anything of themselves.
