I've gotten Lzgamer twice so he's in there. Although I feel guilty because he has a girlfriend... Lol. I think nerds should try to eat healthily and exercise just because it's good for you. I think people just have difficulty with time management and working out isn't very appealing to many people, so that's why they don't do it. I don't really know how to fix the perspective of progamers Westerners have, I guess it really just starts with individuals wanting to change people's perceptions of them.

Some of you are so delusional. Do you honestly think that just one some random day in S Korea everyone just decided that programers would become popular and people would just become fans and put them into the public eye? There are a ton of factors of why SC/BW is as popular as it is/was in S Korea and has nothing to do with "get lucky and wait for someone that looks like David Beckham to start playing SC2 " I hope for your sake you're 14 and don't know that S Korea culture is unlike any other in the world and programers are put onto a pedestal. They have TV stations dedicated to such things. Stop living in your fantasy worlds.

I think we honestly just have to get lucky and wait for someone that looks like David Beckham to start playing SC2 EDIT: No offense to ANY pro or amateur players, you're all beautiful. honestly this is why boxer is tthe creator of korean starcraft esports. Boxer has everything, skills, looks, and charisma to lead the scene. The foreign esports scene doesn't really have someone that can hold that mantle, looks/style? Sase, tasteless(not a progamer), charisma? Day 9, maybe incontrol skills: well here there are a few, huk, idra, thorzain, etc. But look at these three main categories, which foreign progamer can embrace all of these categories and drive the scene forward? This problem is further complicated by the different senses of style from different regions, europeans in general have a metro style (I personally like this style; I'm Korean). Americans have generally poor sense of style (still too much baggy clothes, but is admittely improving). Also, people must remember that the Korean SC2 scene has not taken off like broodwar has. I think a large part of this is due to the mantle of someone that must drive the scene. This is why boxer received all that sponsorship money when he first switched, had he been successful then it's possible that the scene would have exploded. These successful top tier players all lack in some area. Nestea: Not good looking Dongraegu: IMO, not good looking, but he hasn't had the success to make it anyways. Leenock: Probably too chubby to become the mantle. MVP: The closest imo, he doesn't have the charisma that boxer has. MMA: On the rise, but he has a big weakness in his height. MC: Charisma check, skill check, looks ... not there I only did a small list but the korean scene also needs a leader, someone who can draw in the crowds and sponsorships in order to flourish like BW has and did.

Maybe my attitude is a bit too judgemental as I live in South London, where most high streets are like catwalks.

I wouldn't say what they wear changes if they are down to earth or not. But it's true that there's very few stylish pro-gamers. The Koreans are actually way more stylish when it comes to clothes at least. Not many look terrible, but their clothing is a bit geekish still. Or ordinary. I wouldn't expect Starcraft nerds that are concentrating most of their time on playing to be with the current fashion trends though tbh, or to care. I'm from England too though, so maybe it's an American/European thing? I dunno.

To be fair to most of those progamers, they're probably required to wear their team jersey's when they appear in any sort of SC2 public thingy which is why we mostly see them wearing those shirts and little else. They could have fitted team shirts, but it's kinda hard to feel comfortable in them and you always feel like you have to suck in your stomach. I will admit that European players do tend to dress better than American ones.

Likely the reason why there are so few female fans in the foreigner scene compared to the asian scene. The question is, should there be a concious effort to improve the appearance of western pro gamers? let's talk. why the fuck do we want fans who are only fans for demuslim's hot sexy body? if we want more sc2 fans, i want them to think of the games first, the glistening pecs 2nd So let me get this straight...you DON'T want a bunch of hot girls getting incredibly randy around you at an SC2 tournament? I mean, DeMuslim already has a very attractive girlfriend...he's not going to take them. They're there for you What makes you think there will be "a bunch of hot girls getting incredibly randy around you" if a couple pro gamers go jogging some more? You are probably the kind of nerd who screams "OMG SHE'S SO HOT" every time you see any girl affiliated with a video game. Looking better isn't only good for girls, better looking people get more exposure then ugly people. So look at the bigger picture. You're most likely not gonna become world ESPORT stars looking like the south park guy in the OP. Name 5 western progamers who are overweight. What's that, you can only name one or two? Oh, so this entire thread is retarded? Thought so. well to be fair a lot of the players would probably be considered "overweight" by medical standards. obese or unhealthily overweight though you are probably right sheth, TT1, totalbiscuit.. Who else?
