Way to be a hypocrite, Ben. Also Incontrol talking about endurance when he has never been in a situation where he had to play more than a bo3 in any tournament bracket he participated, due to being out everytime on the first round (despite MLG giving him all the second chances in the world where nobody else would, and for a good reason). Why is Incontrol even talking about something he clearly has no clue about? Easy to talk about exhaustion in tournament when your experience of it resumes to settle your keyboard and putting in back in your bag a couple of minutes later.
"I would love that have his problems" - Looks like Jealousy has spoken through Incontrol's mouth, but making it loud enough to be heard isn't a wise choice if you want to look a legitimate arguer.
Fact is EG is trying to get Idra back on the spotlight and continues to bash people's mind with the illusion of him being the n°1 foreigner zerg, but that's not how to do it: he has to prove it himself, but sadly for EG he can't win a game to save his credibility. That's what EG doesn't get, when taking everyone for dumbass sheeps, champions are made on the battlefield and recognised by the viewers, not built by the marketing squad and sold by force to people in contradiction with the actual results.
And ranting about it on a show will not change anything about it.
Typical attack to the messenger and not the message.. if you are really that butthurt you should at least make an argument that in some way might justify why Stephano acted like a douche rather than trying to portray EG as this evil empire which is pretty much only in your head.

Are you serious? logging off before playing the FINALS of a tournament, even after the organizers did everything to please you and answered all your special requests, somehow is not as bad as throwing a meaningless game? .. I don't know how to rationalize that without going full retard...

What does EG have to do with any of this? They were asked for their opinions and then gave it.
It seems to me that the only one "trying to get Idra back on the spotlight" is you.

Typical attack to the messenger and not the message when trying dismiss an attack to a messenger and not to a message... Wait that doesn't make any sence? Yeah that pretty much sums up your argumentation: formulating intricate sentences with words you've been hearing left and right when you have yourself no clue about the ins and outs of it, in most cases will give you such a terrible result rather than making you look like a genius
By the way why are you using such categories like "attack" or "evil empire"? Too many movies and comics worked on yourself if you can't have an argument without falling into clichés and dichotomies between "good" and "evil". No wonder you're showing such a binary and stereotyped behavior on forums.

I thought you were smarter than that. While I don't think DeMusliM and Incontrol opinion have anything to do with Idra, you cannot deny that Stephano took Idra's place as foreigner best zerg both in results and in fame. Idra still has a huge fanbase but he is definitely less talked about than Stephano. Considering EG way of creating publicity for their players you can assume they would prefer Idra in the sportlight.

The fact that some players on EG critisized Stephano for quitting the finals of a tournament isnt so much shocking as it is obvious. I would have been more surprised if they had said that not playing in the finals of a tournament that is literally delaying itself to accompany you is a good thing.

You are all such ignorant people. I bet you think everybody got to do what entertains you instead of thinking about himself. uggh this is making me so sick. Stephano is a human just like everyone of you. If he likes to go sleeping (after playing a hard day with lots of HARD games, I mean not that low league shit of yours) then for gods sake.. Have some respect and stop making such a huge deal out of it. OGON even shouldn't have posted anything about it in the first place if you ask me. There is no need to clarify why a player refused to play further in a tournament. Its his choice and totally fits with the rules given by the tournament. SO plz, stop it .. this is just representing the stupidity and ignorance of human kind.

Stephano may have(debatably) better results but his fame is nowhere near as popular as Idra. I love/loved the guy and he is probably a better zerg overall but to compare his popularity to Idra is just insane.

Tournaments can't sustain themselves when there's no way of knowing if players are actually going to play. So yeah, there are going to be walk-overs and forfeits, but in a situation like this where a player forfeited the finals of a tournament for a community sponsored event for basically no reason(He was tired, sure. But he delayed the tournament and knew that it was a barcraft event that would be held during a time for barcrafts), you should expect people to be disappointed.

Disappointment okay. But totally outland Stephano by making a huge deal out of it with a Newspost on TeamLiquid AFTER the first thread is really over the top..

just lost respect for Stephano " the little bit i had left" he is now Naniwa nr 2
incidents like this is not something a pro gamer should be caught in. You ask them to delay a match because you play another tourney, they do it. and then you slap them in the face by saying they have to wait another day.
Hope Stephano never goes to GSL and if he goes to MLG ill bet he will lose at least 1 match because the time doesnt suit him!

Wouldn't the GSL suit him perfectly as he'll have ample time to prepare and sleep? :D

I don't know if TL has any link with ONOG organisation but this thread is weird
Since when can you call a player an asshole, a douche, a stupid little kid, a whinning baby and so on here ?
TL must be happy with it since no moderation has been done at all in this thread
