By my grace as the Emperor our forces stand again on North American soil. We have come, dedicated and committed, to the task of destroying every vestige of shoddy play over your daily lives, and of restoring, upon a foundation of macro and micro, the values of your people.
At my side is Cella, a worthy teacher, bringing with him successors of the SlayerS name:
The seeds of your tournament are now firmly in the SlayerS hand.
The hour of your redemption is here. You Foreigners have demonstrated an unswerving and resolute devotion to the principles of perfection that challenges the best that is written on the pages of eSports history. I now call upon your supreme effort that NASL may know from the temper of an aroused and outraged people within that you will no longer contend with lesser talents.
Rally to me.
Let the indomitable spirit of Artifice and Ohana lead on. As the lines of battle roll forward to bring us closer to Season 3, hype. Tune in at every opportunity. Let no drop be caught. Let every marine be shielded. The guidance of the Emperor points the way.
Read between the lines and the translation is, "these players are pretty disappointing lately, so we're going to send them to tournaments they can actually handle, and steal some easy foreigner money."

I'm guessing SlayerS changed its mind about boycotting the NASL.
SlayerS was never apart of SC2Con, so never boycotted the NASL in the first place.
The boycott had nothing to do with SC2Con regardless. :/ And they did "boycott" the NASL, withdrew playing in it at a much earlier, less douchey time than the other Korean Teams.

I looked through the bracket but didn't see SlayerS_Boxer. Is he playing on someones account as well? Or did I just miss his name while I was looking through the bracket?

They probably withdrew because the playing time was bad for them and not worth it, not because NASL didn't offer more money for travel arrangements.

hahahaha, I had to read it a few times. The 2nd part, I think hes telling the foreigners to play/practice their best all the time, and strive to not be 'worse'. Could be wrong, idk... Emperor 4tw.

But in all seriousness, it's great to see that SlayerS is going to be sending players for the NASL again after missing last season. I also like that they're sending out some of their players who arguably need to show some better performances and need to recover their confidence. I feel that while they probably won't be favoured in every match there should be enough match-ups where they should be feel confident and start getting back to winning ways.

Yeah, those Code A players like NesTea and MVP are pretty bad, who wants to see people like that play?
I remember Boxer showing some distaste when some of the players such as Painuser just didn't bother showing up for matches when they got out of the running to exit the group stage. NASL Season 1 was just such a disaster after disaster. Haven't been watching NASL much but the few times I've seen it Gretorp seems to be doing some great casting. No more crappy stream lags help too. But it just seems without the big name Koreans, the games just doesn't feel like top level stuff.
TvT especially in the foreigner scene is nowhere even close to touching TvT in GSL matches.

Agreed. The NASL ship has sailed, and sunk. Let the wreckage rest.
WTF are you two talking about? The OP is Primadog, who is a veteran poster who has nothing to do with NASL AFAIK. Man people like you guys, how do you get through life?

I'm thinking it's supposed to read something along these lines (or at least, this is how I interpreted it):
I now call upon your supreme efforts, that NASL may know the temper of a passionate people, that you will no longer contend with lesser talents.

I actually hate NASL for always screwing up my liquibet. I can't be bothered to keep up with the inferior play and end up guessing randomly who will win.
I would love to see more SlayerS_Min though! Always been one of my favorites.
But... why NASL? Gretorp... This is not worth it AT ALL! You can't even pay me to watch this. So sad the EMPEROR lended his good name to this piece of garbage.

To win the first prize of the 200k prize pool for season 3 against vastly inferior competition? Seems like a pretty decent reason to me.

I think people bashing NASL should stop already. It may not be the best tournament but let's give them a chance. More SC2 tournaments=better. We should support them.

I think it's their way of sharing the spotlight. I mean, I can understand how Boxer would want everyone to be involved, not just the big guns. For these "less-known" players, it's a great chance for experience and exposure.

I don't see why we should support tournaments organized by people that apparently refuse to learn from their mistakes.
This is just blatant impersonation? I think the OP should have at least said somewhere that this is not Boxer and he probably did not even endorse this post.

If the OP is :
a) not affiliated with NASL b) not affiliated with Slayers c) not Lim Yo Hwan
Then what the hell is this thread? If it's some news about slayers players that will participate in NASL, just state it clearly. If it's some fanfiction or whatever, just make a blog about it. Veteran poster or not, this post is not only bad and poorly written, but it's also confusing for anyone not very familiar with all of that. It could also be seen as offensive by the Emperor himself as his name and signature is being used without his consent for news about his own team.

I think it was a good way to hype up the return of Slayers in NASL , although a bit confusing .
Awesome, Alicia used to be a boss, especially vT so will be nice to see him again.
NASL have had their problems, but they've given us some great, great series in the past, MC v Puma still sticks in my mind, especially at a time where many finals (GSL lol?) were extremely disappointing spectacles. They're improving imo, if you don't want to watch it/support the league then don't, but don't go around fucking shitting on their efforts in every NASL-related thread. Not complicated.

I'm so confused? Is this Boxer or not? Does Boxer have this good of English? How'd he manage to get Boxer to sign off on this, if he didn't: how did he plagiarize such a difficult signature?
Someone tweet to Jessica to get this verified! If we don't know if it's really Boxer, how the hell am I suppose to believe in the fact he's truly coming in the NASL with the people he named, are they aware of all this? The message sounds like something he would say, but if it's not him, it really taints my belief and desire to Boxer participate in foreign leagues T_T

I remember reading once that sometimes it takes the posts in the thread to truly make it awesome; while Primadog's OP was pretty cool, the amount of stupidity an trolling made this some of the best 8 pages I've ever read
Hah! Not sure if I will bother with much of the NASL this season but if he and his crew are truly playing then I will at least tune in to watch those games. Great hype thread
On February 24 2012 17:07 Kiri wrote: Wait what happened?? Is this an old post or did he stop and start playing again??
This was just bad hype / advertisement. It was hyping the NASL season 3 online qualifiers. Not the season itself like many probable thought. Boxer himself did not even participate the qualifiers and I doubt they invite him to participate to season 3. Lucky for them four Slayers members managed to qualify through the qualifiers. Ganzi, Ryung, Alicia and Puzzle will be seen in NASL season 3: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/North_American_Star_League_Season_3/Season_3_Qualifier
And regarding Boxer. He played in NASL S1, but decided not to participate in S2. He is still playing actively.
