A lot of times I win because my opponent warped in 8 dt's when he had no units or because i had 3/3 upgrades and my opponent had 0/0. A couple of hours ago I lost a PvP because my opponent had a hidden base and then got maxed and just crushed me... Unless you beat an actual good player then thats cool

Why are you complaining about bad players when you're in Silver league?

All I see in this thread is a ton of excuses and no accountability. Like I said in an earlier post, literally 10% more effort on the account of most of the complainers would solve the vast majority of their complaints

You earn the right to beat good players by getting better at the game and, you know, beating bad players. Why are you complaining about bad players when you're in Silver league? You see it every league though.

WTF I'm absolutely dogshit terrible at this game and I never claimed to be otherwise, this is a thread about a declining playerbase and even though I am obviously bad there are of course players that are worse than me. I am not saying that I have a right or anything.

I'm quite astonished that anyone could interpret my post in this way, I am saying that sometimes I play and it is really frustrating, and this is potentially a cause of why "nobody plays 1v1 anymore"

I also believe that loosing to an actual good player is cool because you will be a lot better.

Person A: I don't play as much 1v1 for X reason(s) that makes the game less fun/no fun for me, so I don't play the game as much. Person B: OMG YOU NOOB GET BETTER WHO SAID VIDEO GAMES ARE FOR FUN?!?!? YOU SHOULD PLAY THE GAME BECAUSE ITS HARD EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE FUN. YOUR REASON FOR NOT HAVING FUN IS DUMB!!!

I prefer to let my teammates carry me in LoL, HoN and other MOBA games, that way when I lose I can place the blame on other people, just like IdrA.

That tells me something is wrong with sc2ranks' statistics for s5. to bad people will ignore posts like this and continue on with their rants. anyway despite what is being said, the older a game gets, the more players it will bleed, this is natural i dont expect it any other way .As they say only the strong survive ( the true RTS players), the casuals can go , it makes for better game overall because of less QQ. Sc2 is very competitive and not everybody is cut out for that, but for some of the people that may not continue to play, sc2 has still left a lasting impression to where they still actively watch mlg/gsl/ipl/nasl/i.e.m etc etc. If an actively playing player base mattered for esports games then Call Of Duty would be the biggest esport around because its the biggest game out there in terms of player base. As we can see Call of duty is miles behind in esports because its super casual crap that any true FPS player despises. World of warcraft had a pretty big esport scene as well and we are all aware it has a huge player base, till the community raped it and said it was a casual joke of a game which caused it to loose any grounding it had as an "esport" Lets keep pretending a playing community matters for an esport game. Something not noted in this thread is that the OP refers to 1v1 only. I know alot of players that still play the game but they choose to play team games instead and not 1v1. The statistics posted in the initial thread starter post only apply for 1v1 players.
