You're kidding, right?
At Starswar Chinese players knocked out:
Nestea, Fruitdealer (when he was in Code S), MarineKing, MVPGenius, TLO, SanZenith when he was good, Dimaga, Idra, Morrow, and a few others I think. 3/4 of the four top places were Chinese players iirc, with MC being the only other. Chinese players are REALLY underrated for the most part, they aren't on the level of Koreans, but they'd easily compete with other foreign countries.

lol fun fact in the Chinese article: MKP is a comic-lover: he wears kawaii clothes with cartoon figures, desktop is a kitty girl, and first thing after turning on the computer is watch some comics (not playing sc2!)

But starswar was 95% online, so it really doesnt legitimize anything. If we were to consider online results European would also be on par with koreans.

Now why would you just come on the thread and make a condescending post like that? Keep your negativity to yourself please.

Crap... He just keeps on getting more famous.
Damn my name.

XiGua, xiaot, and Loner were/are pretty good, but XiGua seems to be the only really active one right now... the rest of the Chinese players are super underwhelming.
What I noticed from watching SeleCT vs Macsed is that the Chinese players' strategies just seem to be a few months behind. Their openers are strong, but their decision making and some other fundamental skills aren't very good, and their understanding of strategy is pretty far behind

gl :D btw whatever happened to loner?

code b inc for both players.

It's like you say, apart from some of the ex-bw players, most seem to treat the game like wc3 by trying to outmaneuver the opponent in strange ways, like blinking into his base. At least in terms of results, he's taken 2nd place in two latest G-League seasons.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure all Korea vs China matches were played on Korea since: 1) most chinese players had korean accounts because sc2 was released late in china, 2) it's pretty hard to get a chinese account.

I thought I recognized that name. I believe it was him who boldly predicted that Vile would get all-killed by FXO in IPL TAC2, and when that did not happen, he tried to cover his own back by saying the results were invalid by claiming there was too much lag. Kids these days...

historically Chinese were super good in bw, but if no one plays starcraft in china than it will be 2 good chinese players in korea and rest in-land kinda comparable to EU / NA
but Xigua is wcg silver medalist maybe it will mean something for sc2..
