Criticism is allowed. Undue flaming is not. Take a second to think your post through before you submit.
Bans will be handed out.
Should go without saying, but don't link restreams here either. |

is the 20$ dollars only for those 3 days? If so.....HELL NO. There is other content I can watch for free or MUCH cheaper like GSL with better production and higher level play.
The price is reasonable for the amount of content you get. It was bound to happen one of these days. The post is very honest in the costs involved, and I like that some alternatives are also mentioned if you don't want to spend that kind of money (go go barcrafts!).
As for myself, I'll probably check out a barcraft or Assembly instead. Partially because of the cost and the hours (3 am T_T).
Watching Assembly, their production value not worth my cash for live view over assembly When you're not competing with another event, you can charge all you want, but when you have strong competition you can't be charging that much...
So you're trying a PPV tournament the same day as a free tournament who even offer free HD quality ? Talk about shooting in your own foot.

Cinema is massively overpriced. That's why there has been a massive decline in that industry.

IMO this is a bad move to not give gold members access after the storm eliminating silver passes caused, I wish them luck and I hope that they'll maintain viewers but I don't see myself paying $20 for 3 days of games while assembly will be live sadly.

Remember this is also a SC2 only event so it's just not as large of a scale so keep that in mind when complaining about it.
welp def not paying for this, suppose ill stop watching starcraft, definitely not worth paying to see anymore.

Or you can pay 15$ for a GSL season ticket and get 2-3 months worth of games and the best players in the world participating in a league that actually means something unlike a weekend event. 20$ is way too much for this, and gold members don`t get it for free??? wtf
If they are going PPV for it, though, they better not be streaming commercials during it. That would be a slap in the face and would most likely put people off watching MLG at all.
honestly, i would pay for it if i could. at the moment though, i have no means of paying for anything online, and that doesn't seem likely to change in the near future. so yes, assembly.

Actually im totally fine with this. I think 20dollar is fine for a great weekend worth of entertainment. I dont know guys but if you want quality, well produced tournaments and esports to grow you need to accept things like this and realize that it is still cheaper than going to watch a movie... I quess this will only be an issue for young people who have no access to a credit card.
Nope, plenty of free SC2 to watch and MLG isn't really that special. I will look forward to the results and free vods though.

That's my thoughts as well. If I wasn't completely broke I'd buy it, alas, no money.
I'd happily pay, but I have my concerns when it comes to twitch.tv. It still is absolute garbage from time to time in Europe.
Well this leaves me no choice but to watch Assembly.
For me this doesn't come down to a question of whether I can afford it, but a comparison to the value of GSL, and it really isn't close.
