ASUS ROG releases the stream schedule for the starting day, Friday February 24th, of their next weekend’s Starcraft II Tournament, sponsored by NVIDIA.
Only two days to go until the next ASUS ROG StarCraft II event starts. The starting groups have been made and every group looks like it’s going to deliver top class StarCraft II games. Two main streams will be following the action throughout the tournament and the group stage games have now been scheduled for the main streams. Every game can’t be streamed by the main streams in the group stage because of the huge amount of games, but community streams in different languages will be filling in the blanks as well as they can.

Khaldor casting. Gotta mute stream again.Same for TotalBiscout. Here is why I do not understand why are they casters;are they retarded or they assume everyone else is? We can see the two lings getting microed, no need to talk 15 minutes about it and kittens too. Just because.
Wow. If they don't do any on saturday or sunday, it will be completely impossible for Americans to watch this tournament unless they get out of work/school...
Why you changing the map anyway? Whats difference btween ESV and Blizz version? Map looks balanced (blizzard version) unless ur going to put Neutral Depot on ramp nothing to change surely?

Good first post. I personally enjoy both greatly. + Show Spoiler +
I hope it's clear that the "good" part was sarcasm.

I probably failed miserably at looking this up, but I thought the SC stuff would kick off around 5 EST?
EDIT: And yep, I failed. I was like 'What time is it in Helsinki... oh its noon, this should work out well!' am/pm fail.
Am I wrong, or are these times during the middle of the day Friday for Europe and like the really early morning on for NA? Not really good tournament timing IMO. I would say they were targeting Koreans, but there's no Korean language casting...
Awesome schedule, but I feel like we're missing a lot of group deciding games then? Or are you changing schedule to show more important games over less important?
Hope they are mixing caster duos up from time to time. I like Apollo but want to avoid listening to TB as much as possible.

Neutral depot and the very important flying shark!
So glad to see that twitch is running the streams. Thank god I do not have to navigate an awkward website to find what I want. Hopefully the pool standings and brackets will be rather easy to find! Why only a schedule for Friday? Can we expect matches to begin at 12:00 each day?

Asus ROG will be starting at around 9am EST on Friday. MLG at around 5-5:30pm EST

Why would a Finnish event try to target the koreans specifically? In order to stream shit tons of games in two days, you have to start early, os if in schedule, the games should take from 12 to around 22:30, which is fine for any event.

I thought casting was "saying what's going on, on the stream". Maybe I'm wrong...

Its 5am, not 9am.
Assuming I did it correctly, but if this starts at 12:00pm GMT+2, then EST (GMT-5) would be 5:00am...not too great for them if they expect USA viewers.

Man, if it was 9 I could catch Taeja's last game, but since it's at 5 now I guess I can't .

Targeting Koreans is a waste of time. Starcraft 2 does not have a large audience in KR especially not for foreign streamed events. It exists, but it's not worth catering to at the expense of other more important demographics.
Only problem is they keep scheduling Moon against Stephano, the two players I want to watch most :O. Also timezones, but that's not really something anyone can do anything about.
wow, looking great. the 16:00 hour looks a bit weak game selection wise but I'll guess that you had no more exciting options.

Damn, how did you even think that this post was acceptable? It never ceases to amaze me the kind of crap people post, personally I allways adhere to the rule "would the guy punch me in the face if he stood next to me?". It does make you wonder though why this guy got only warned, considering that it's a fresh account made probably just to spew crap.

But it is against select so that should be an amazing game, plus he shouldn't have any trouble making it out of his group so more for the rest of weekend :D
Also good luck to Jinro and TLO, win this, for the beard!!
It'd be nice if the OP used the time converter tag that TL provides. For some reason I always convert times wrong :/ So after looking it up it appears I'm GMT - 6 which would mean it starts 8 hours earlier than the posted times for me? Although, I'm not sure if that accounts for daylight savings.
It is so funny to see people being sad that they can't view some of the matches in USA.. Don't you guys think that Assembly is a speacial event with limited time (like 2 days for tournament, Assembly Winter itself is 3 days) and is played in Europe and in different timezone than in NA or KR..
Or do you guys honestly think ASUS ROG should be played during night just so only Americans could watch it? Timezones and scheduling limits..
It is like same for us (Europe) with MLG, We like to sleep too!
they should really try to get this tournament more spotlight with it being the same weekend and PPV mlg, people might be more inclined to watch some free high level matches. i'll prob be watching MLG at a bar. ;p

Nobody is saying they should schedule a European event based on American timezones. But people are still sad they can't see the matches because of timezone differences. We're sad, but can't do anything about nor do we expect them to reschedule stuff based on our timezones.
Speaking of which, does anyone know if they're going to be rebroadcasting/looping the stream after each day is over?

Eastern time is 7 hours earlier then Finland. This means the tournament starts 5am.
Does that help?
I agree by the way that using the time tag would have been nice.

Obviously I don't know any more then you do but my guess would be that the main stream (the one with TB and Apollo) will allways run from the Main Stage. It would be moronic to have a main stage and not use it.

Remember that Assembly is most definitely NOT a StarCraft tournament, it's just a LAN where tournament (Asus ROG) is a sideshow at best. So I would not be surprised if majority of the matches are not played on the "Main stage". Especially if by main stage you mean stage that is in the main hall, where most people are attending the Lan portion and don't really care about starcraft. During Assembly Summer 2011 they played every other match in their own space they were allotted and only finals were played in the arena.
I believe there was mention of a much better spectator area for this event... So although group and early playoffs will not be on the main stage there should be a good audience

there IS a main stage spectator area that will be used the entire tournament (and more)

Sounds awesome. I remember i played in a CS tournament in assembly back in 2003 or something like that and we were sitting on wooden benches and only screens where to watch was ours so everyone was behind you :D

The main stage for ASSEMBLY Winter 2012 is the ASUS ROG stage. There are 280 seats in front of it. You can see pics at the ASUS ROG Nordic Facebook page. Here's an aerial view of the place. The main tournament area is on the red carpet upstairs.
All games streamed in SETT TV stream will be played at the stage. This also explains a bit why there are so many Finns playing in the main stream.
I'm pretty bummed also that they're deciding not to show more of Hero and TLO . . . anyone know if the group stage will be done tomorrow, or will there be more group stuff on Saturday?

It already is, check Liquipedia.
Kinda bummed that Stephano-Real and Elfi-Bling appear to air at the same time; would rather have had one of those during the last two (which appear to be PuMa-Bischu and DieStar-SeleCT) as I don't really care a lot about those two matches.
