Further, by the same standards MLG use in order to motivate PPV and the longitivity of e-sports, if someone wants to be all premium and no free stuff they should also pay the premium prize for the services they use. Nothing weird going on here.

I myself a true MLG fan wont be watching this weekend not paying 20 bucks for it, even if i wanted to i cant pay, dont have a paypal or creditcard ( pretty much like the rest of europe ). So i guess mlg is losing massive amounts of viewers specially from europe. my 2 cents

Anyway, I would have understood both decisions (calendar it or not). For people who don't get why they refused to calendar it, it's because basically if they link it in the calendar, they link directly to a "CLICK HERE TO BUY" page. So it's advertisement. A very understandable/rational decision, whether you agree or not.

And the others, they can't watch, so what's the point.

One of the cool aspects of the internet is the free content, the information share, our generation are really doing it well and proving that this is the better way, the evolution. Restricted content is only a regression, i'm very sad (truth) that people of our generation are committing the same mistakes... Keep the good work Team Liquid, i'm proud to be a member of this community, you guys are in the right way.

Im assuming MLG will make their own entry if they decide to pay for it? I did reformat the brackets so they were ready to put in

First time I opened this thread I though TL and MLG had prepared detailed TL calendar use (separating each matches or something) so I clicked this one. MLG still gets its attention even its negative for them and more users for PPV. If you would have read the statements in this thread you would know that this is exactly what TL stands for. Giving attention to things and events the community cares about. The community cares about MLG, so TL has no problem with useful information regarding this topic. They don't want to erease the MLG from TL.net, as you could have read for yourself.

Why do you think google and Facebook offer so many free services, because they are selling -you-. I think this whole shitstorm over MLG wouldn't have happened if the price wasn't so high. If it was like $7.99 then people would have bought it if they wanted to see the tourney (me included). Why isn't MLG just paying for the ad on TL btw? TL the main SC2 website... meanwhile they have expensive offices in New York and pay 100k for flying people in. The 1-2k tops to have an ad here for this event is too much? Odd bussiness.
