I'm not sure that would fix it. It wouldn't help MLG, they need revenue or they need to fail. It's time to find out what eSports in the US is really going to be.

As I have grown from a kid playing this game to an adult I have realized how amazing Team Liquid and its staff is. This site is ran with more integrity then just about anything out there. Keep up the good work.

tbh 240p is so horrible that if you don't buy the HQ you wouldn't have bought it being PPV either. It would just leave MLG with a link on the sidebar and I know people that just didn't buy the ticket because there is no free-stream option.

I don't think that $20 for one weekend is a good model to use if you want to find that out.

The dialogue, independent of who is right or wrong needs to manner up. When someone calls someone else rude and at the same time calls them a piece of sh*t or a-hole, or insults them, it just seems....stupid. I am all for criticism from both sides to improve esports, but when the sides are being dickish or bad-mannered or hypocritical, nothing gets accomplished. When someone makes a thoughtful post, respond to their thoughts, don't poke fun at them or insult them and sidestep the issue.
edit: forgot to say: rants can criticize and can get heated without being condescending or rude

hmm well no, artosis, Tasteless, said TL,TL,TL all day since BW. TL is amazing, but they are not Innocent from using their weight because if your not seen here people cant find you. i have more i would love to say, but im a quadriplegic and this is a wait of my time, i just wanted my 2 cents.
That's because TL was the only real site to put in that extra effort and time to really form a proper site for BW and they're upping the quality since for SC2. There are plenty of ways for people to see you outside of TL: reddit, twitch.tv, wellplayed.org, etc. It's not Team Liquid's fault that a lot of people create a dependency on it in order to publicize themselves and Team Liquid isn't a stairwell for everyone to use at their discretion (including vVv).

Fully respect the decision and why you made it, if MLG want to become a true business then they will have to accept being treated like one. If TL asked for too much money and MLG didn't want to pay then fine, MLG asked for too much money for their weekend stream IMO so I don't pay. Also find it pretty cringe worthy the way the vVv guys flock into the thread and act like they are doing, we all know you getting paid is tied up into how successful this experiment of MLGs is, but there is no need for this flooding of the thread and the sometimes aggressive manner of posting. Go use other forms of advertising the stream, maybe then you can lessen your reliance on TL if you find it biased or too much of a monopoly.

I disagree with the TL decision to not put the event on the calendar... they could have easily put the event on the calendar without a clickable link to the stream, because you had to pay, that way people who wanted to watch the event must actually go to the MLG site itself and not be lazy just to click from TL site. Easiest fix in the world.

All other things being equal, we will give preferential treatment to site members who have been with us longer (as reflected in their post count + length of time with us as a registered member). It's a simple recognition of the quality of these people. Longevity and contribution are prized commodities around here. In a similar vein, "known" pro/semi-pro players will also be treated with deference (yes, quite a few hang out here). Don't complain - these guys have earned it.
2. When Artosis puts up a video it's usually something completely different from what he's done previously. In addition to that, his threads are massively popular (tens of thousands of views and thousands of replies in a very short timespan) and content would easily get lost if he had a single thread.

" This is advertising but it's also fine, it is relevant and useful to a lot of people who view TL. You are comparing Artosis to MLG, okay, maybe he'd be flattered. If you can't see the difference I'm not sure it's worth discussing it with you, btw Handsome Nerd threads get closed.

Yeah they *could* do that, but they don't have to, and I'm pretty sure they aren't doing it just to be dicks. But it is also showing that if MLG turn some events into PPV, then they will have to pay for advertising just like any other PPV event in the world has to. Free streams you can put up on the calendar with the justification that everyone can watch it, and it helps give exposure to events that are relying on in stream advertising. But putting this event on the calendar would just be drawing attention to an event that is asking people to put $20 forward to watch anything at all minus some behind the scenes stuff. I really don't see the justification for putting it up on the calendar for free, with or without a link.

I know that most of you calling vVv "cult-like" are trolling and don't actually care, but part of the reason it seems that vVv sticks together is because we actually know and play games with each other regularly. This is opposed to the average TL member who gets on an Internet forum where he most likely doesn't know or play with anyone.

The Justification is to help the members for TL know where events are going to be played... Put all the bull shit aside and figure out the only thing you are hindering is the members of this site... What other PPV streams have had to pay for the calendar spot? and why would anyone pay for a calendar spot. That is simply a reminder of an event that is happening not a direct advertisement for MLG or any other league. To pay for advertisement is one thing but to pay for a spot on a calendar is another. I have no problem with asking MLG for advertisement money if MLG was asking to be placed on the site with a banner or logo or anything like that. But to say we want money to put you on our calendar... come on. Let's use our brains, the calendar does not have any logos and is simply reminders for people that an event is happening on a certain day. Advertisement money is spent on advertising, ESPN does not ask MLB for money to advertise sporting events, and I am not comparing TL and MLG to ESPN and MLB just merely stating an example from another related area.

To be fair you probably should PM him rather than fire back on a forum since you are one who is a higher up in this forum. Just my thought though. I would like to formally report both of you for not thinking before you post

Most of us are trolling? How is anyone trolling here? This post is another example of why people are pointing out what you are doing is ridiculous, your "leader" or whatever you want to call him comes on this thread spouting out random numbers about how much TL asked for, gets banned and now the rest of you are making posts like this calling all of us trolls because we disagree with you? Sticking together is fine, but there is a way to do it and this sure aint one of them.
