Holy cow, Iron Squid, I felt not enough people paid attention to this! Their format doesn't really make it very viewable with it being stretched out so long and casted over replays which were played really long ago.
But the Ro4 should be good though. Venue looks awesome.

For me the name was off-putting, sounds like a kids show.

Absolutely stunning venue. Would love to be able to make it to the event!

the reamining tickets will all depends of the players attending the ro4.

OMG Le Grand Rex, so sick :D

gotta say I'm pretty excited about this :D

I absolutely love the progress in many of the SC2 communities in Europe.
First we get 2300 live spectators for DH Stockholm and just two weeks later we have 2500 live spectators for Iron Squid.
I really hope it will sell out, it would be great for the French SC2 community .

Wow, what a venue. Worth me tuning in based solely on that (not that I feel the production and quality of games will be anything less than stellar..)

So excited about this, and will probably be near Paris for the 5th of may. Time to spend 36 euros!

- Alt-Tab is Pomf&Thud company
- Asus RoG is a new gamer brand who is looking to expand in France (personal sponsoring of MoMaN for example)
- Materiel.net is a market leader in hardware retail on internet. They sponsor a lot of teams on the scene.
- Eveneo is an association who is installing network for gaming LAN - They did the ESWC 2011
- Astro is a gaming gear brand.
- Twitch.tv is well known
- Game One is a cable TV company who is trying to expand its esports content (They are sending Adelscott to korea for a week)
Nothing out of the ordinary I think.

There is also a rich investisor who wanted to create his own tournament. (in South America at the beggining)
And the Grand Rex is a prestigious place, so I understand why it cost 36€, it's a bit expensive, but like everything in Paris.

well done indeed. and as a sidenote: ppl should check out the player themes they did for their tournament. truly epic.

Not having Stephano there competing will definitely hurt, they should get a showmatch going.

Everything about this is great, but why all Koreans? I remember ESWC final with Stephano, the crowd was incredible. Does anyone think it will be close to that if Korean plays vs Korean? I dont.

lol the same debate over and over again.
It is pretty normal that a French crowd (who loves starcraft if they pay 40€ for a ticket) cheers way louder for Stephano than for MKP...unless most of the people in the crowd are like you which would be REALLY REALLY weird.

Cool idea, but I don't know how many people they expect to host. Still grand idea, hope it turns out in success!

The thing is... people believe that for some obscure reason it is IMPOSSIBLE to feel attachment to korean players, they believe all korean players to be boring and without personalities. This is just ignorant, and it just means these people don't watch the GSL and don't want to invest the time on knowing the korean scene, and then they proceed to blame it on the players.
I'm telling you, I go nuts when MC plays, not just because he's so good at SC2, but because he's such an awesome dude. And there are many players like that in the korean scene, you just have to know it.
