Well,
1. 2011 MLG Global Invitational was "invite only"
2. 2011 Blizzard Cup was played with just 10 players.
3. This was the first event, how could they be well-established?
4. Seems more prestigious than Iron Squid or Home Story Cup, with live audience, marketing and stream.
5. Prize pool was great as a premiere tournament.
But... this is not a big deal. I agree we should not consider a lot of championships as premiere, and this is a subjective analysis anyway.
