Yes, but that's only quite recently. Half a year ago, with all the trouble about players leaving TSL to join other teams, managers spying on the chats of the players, everything seemed pretty unstable.

I loved oGs. It's sad all their sponsors and aces left. I wish they could find some way to still keep sustainable =[

I've always wondered myself as well.. weren't they the first korean pro team to give salaries to their players? If there was ever a korean pro team with financial issues, TSL wasn't it.

Teams disbanding is never news i want to hear but its not totally unexpected with the exodus of Nada, MC , Zenio and Hero.

coaches checking computers and watching their practices etc.

It is always sad when you see a team disband but it sounds like they way they want to revamp everything will be good. Good luck to all the former oGs players and managers I hope they can figure things out soon!
|
I think it would be a really good move if SK Gaming were to acquire the remainder of the oGs roster and take their spot in GSTL etc.
Would make a fan out of me.
|
this is some sad news. But I hope they can rebuild under another name, that would be nice for those players. Or else they just sign with other teams. I bet most of them can find a new team.

Bummer.

Still TSL has never had any economic issues and they always came back stronger after each downfall (first one was after Rain, Fruitdealer, Tester, Puma all left in the course of one month, and next time was when JYP, SangHo, Clide, Heart and aLive left). And right now they're efforts are paying off, Polt has done well at many tournaments this year, SymboL did well at Iron Squid and + Show Spoiler +Inori, SymboL and Polt all qualified for Spring Arena 2 .

Sad to hear i love the oGs coach, he to me seems one of the coolest coaches out there. Also one of the highest playing ones respectful to his players and those of other teams and treating Liquid like family.
I hope he finds a new sponsor and they can get on as a team, be it any other name. (time for new zerg talent maybe ?)

but...but...but I thought that what was good for one eSport is good for all eSports? You mean that sponsors actually have limited funds to throw at this industry and they aren't going to share it with all games equally?
Well no shit, this was bound to start happening and I'm definitely not going to start listening to people telling me to support LoL now.

So sad to read. I will miss my oGsCool, oGsMC and oGsNada, even though you didn't stay until the end, the great times you have given me!
|
I cuold see the same shit happening to SlayerS. everyone stole their talent but they remain with some highly skilled players.
|
Fuck LoL... the game is awful to watch and to me is just unplayable...I really can't understand the hype
Forever OGS....the team that dominated the scene seemingly forever ;-;
|
shit .... oGs was my favorite team
|
Apart from the actual meaning of the abbriviation (original generation) I always read it as Original Gangsters. So suitable. So sad this team has to go ...

You're kidding me right?
Who did SlayerS lose? GanZi? They still have one of the biggest rosters in SC2.

There're plenty of sponsors, if they are not interested in sc2 it's not LoL's fault.
Korean teams didn't have any money before LoL anyway.

Meh, LoL. Hard to believe that koreans who love the high-skill BW want to watch it.
