Gamma Labs and Complexity Gaming Launch Partnership
Houston, Texas, May 8th, 2012
Today Gamma Labs, a division of Gamma Enterprises, LLC, a global leader in natural supplements, and Complexity Gaming, one of the world's most prolific professional gaming organizations, have announced a strategic partnership targeting the growing world of professional gaming.
Gamma Labs' revolutionary Pre-Training Formula ("PTF") has become the "Official Energy Drink" of Complexity Gaming, and the parties will work together to perfect Gamma Lab's upcoming formula specifically created for gamers.
Additionally, the parties are announcing "compLexity's Gamma Gamers House" which will be a professional gamer training facility located in Houston, Texas. The large home, expected to open in June of 2012, will provide Complexity's professional gamers with a 24/7 training option and will also be open to visiting professional gamers who require housing during North American tour visitations.
Clifford Morgan, CEO of Gamma Labs, told Forbes "[G]amers are concerned about the products they put into their body, just like professional athletes. These players demand top performance physically and mentally, which is why our PreTraining Formula is the ideal product for them. Hand-eye coordination and extended periods of intense focus can be taxing both physically and mentally."
"We're very excited to partner with Gamma Labs and to open our second professional gamer training facility with their assistance," said Jason Bass, COO of Complexity. "The PTF mix will fuel our gamers while they offer global eSports fans a 24/7 live stream, free training videos and other exciting content."

WOW that place might top the EG's lair, even
woooooooah. that looks pretty cool.
man collapse of American real estate market might have had devastating effects on the common people but at least gaming teams can pick up pretty amazing-yet-awful-which-makes-them-more-amazing-McMansions on the cheap.
That's great, good stuff!
amazing house!
eg has the lair
col has the palace :p

Am I the only one that thought Gamma Bears, when reading this?

congrats... just wondering why ogs couldn't get this sort of sponsorship...
grats complexity
ooo wow, what players are going to be living there?
WOW! This is awesome
hmm, what was that last weeks highlight? Ministry of something... anyways, screw that shit, this is just beyond awesome looking!
It even has a boat at the back to make a quick getaway! Nice!

on itg they talked about this.
how teams need to go beyond just trying to get wins/results, but also properly market themselves, their players, create content that fans want to watch, and of course appease their sponsors
and more importantly, when it comes to sponsors, theres the business side of things that im sure teams like COL and EG know way more about, plus have connections that they have established for years and years.
jason lake and jason bass are pretty bad ass :p
Are things like this ever open to fans coming in to say hi/meet people? I live in Houston :O
(seems unlikely but I can dream)
damn that is one nice house
Lets just hope their Dota2 team wins The international so they can afford it!
Where is teh first gaming facilitiy O:
Cool, awesome to see another team get a house to help raise the level of competitive play
This is awesome. Congrats! This house looks like one of the most baller gaming houses out there.

I think it is "technically" the 3rd one since they also had a CS team that was living in a house together during the summer but it was something the players decided to do not the organization.
Holy shit I live less than 20 minutes away. Fuck. Yes.
Will this be modeled after the Korean style houses, and will complexity be housing the acedemy there as well?
WTF that house is amazing!! and it has a river/lake in the backyard?! wow, this is no doubt gonna be the place for visiting gamers to stay(as OP said).
Congrats to compLexity and Gamma Gamers, hope to see good results in the future!
Good to hear there is another NA pro-gaming house, pretty fun how the sponsor only mentioned there own product and nothing else.
I'd never heard of GammaGamers or this PTF before this. I've never been one for energy drinks but this seems like it's kind of different based on what I've looked up, particularly for someone who frequents the gym.
As for the house, great news for Complexity. I hope that this is something that they can really utilize to get their players into good form.
If they get the house ready soon enough, it'll also be a great place for their Dota 2 team bootcamp before The International 2.
excellent.
now just get minigun into the same house as killer and I will be a happy fanboy.
Wow sounds great for coL!
holy shit that house looks nice

Congrats!!! Read as Gamma bears Lol T T

Yep! Goin with that!

Now that is a house, holy hell!
very little information on the house itself it seems. i dont see any gaming area pics or details on who will be there etc. =\
Complexity house 2.0 Pretty nice!
The house looks very nice. It is a really big upgrade compared to the old coL house during the Counter-Strike days.
Complexity is awesome in Dota 2 and in Starcraft 2 =)
Looks really great. But LOL at PTF drink, made specifically for gamers. That has gimmicky marketing written all over it.
GL guys!
Incredible, go Complexity!
this is great for coL :D complexity is the new EG?
So are they going to get a team boat now?

It's actually not made specifically for gamers, I did some research and it's a legitimate pre-workout energy drink with all the general benefits of other pre-workout boosts plus anti-oxidants, creatine and other stuff.
The energy buzz it can provide would be useful to gamers as well, generally gamers tend to drink a fairly large number of energy drinks which is why so many Energy Drink companies are involved in the scene. This product to my knowledge isn't really just an energy drink, it has a bunch of other stuff in it too which could be useful if used pre-workout.

I'm worried that something isn't going to work out fully but I hope all the best for their plans for the future, it looks sick. It just doesn't seem fullproof...
Wow congrats to complexity. That house is ridiculously nice lmao
This house looks amazing, I dare say that it rivals the EG Lair for NA and Milliniums team house for the EU Well done CompLexity and thank you Gamma Labs for helping such a great team grow!
House is epic congrats to complexcity
Damn that house...
I predict CoL vs EG gaming house competition/showmatches.
So cool ^_^
Haha, that out back pier, so nice. Congratulations to all attending, should see some major improvement. Definitely rivals/surpasses the EG lair, hopefully the players like it as much as those posting so far do GL!

CompLexity is pretty damn professional as far as E-sports teams go. Their management hasn't screwed much up in the past, so I wouldn't be too worried. The only thing I'd say is that house look TOO good to be true hahaa... is that boat gonna come included?!

I am personally not a fan or supporter of energy drinks/ natural supplements or whatever...
But well, I guess funding is good. The guys who left recently are missing out, hehe.

i wonder where exactly in Houston it's located...there is two neighborhoods I know that has the lake in the back with bad houses like that :D

a "gaming house" with a boat ? this is so wtf
but then it does more look like a hotel than a place where people would play video games nonstop congrats to those who're going to live there.
Thought it was Gamma Bears partnership for a second, house looks great -- Gratz!
Another US team house sick hopefully the Reformed Root can set something up as well.
It looks like someone rich already lives there with all the nice décor inside, and the make-up room stock full of women's shoes. Other than that, the house looks extremely sick, and will be amazing for the coL gamers planning to live there.

"Good internet" doesn't really change the fact that you're routing your connection around 7000 miles to the Korean server. You're going to experience a high latency no matter what you do.

omg that house is beautiful

This looks even better than the EG and the Polish house! Gammagamers website is down?

I'm pretty certain it's not just for SC2. Complexity has a Dota 2 team that probably top 5 in the world right now and with the International coming up they may want to have them bootcamp at the house.

EG lair can play on KR server with almost no lag.

I wonder if the pontoon boat is included?
Gamma Labs was sponsoring pro Halo players Neighbor and Best Man, so the house was originally meant for their team lol. Not surprised, the house was halfway done when Halo was pretty much dead, so I'm glad to see a SC2 pro team can take full advantage of this.
I swear, these houses are almost TOO good for nerds to live in D:
For a second, I was think Complexity partnering with Gamma Bears and open a house in Korea for GSTL.
Should've chosen Arizona desert like EG team where housing is cheap.
Awesomeness. I wonder if other supplement companies will turn some of their focus towards eSports?

Houses in Houston aren't that bad (cost-wise) than ones for instance in the North East section
I would love to know where it's located just to drop by and say Hey and such

Very nice. Altough I think those westerner houses are a bit too much luxury... I mean they should not need more than pc´s a bed a kitchen and maybe a little garden, everything else will make them not train enough.
Lol at the "Strip pole" in the bar photo... Imagine a Barcraft there

We chose Houston because I live here. We will be doing a lot from the house content wise and need someone to manage that. It was a better option than Socal where Jason Lake lives because to get something like this in LA would cost 4-8 times more. Houston is a central hub and flights from here will be reasonable as well. It just made sense on a lot of levels but the main was I live here and will be getting the whole place ready.
We are very excited and I hope you all are too. We will be doing some unique things from the house.

when did i said anything about size? man, your assumption is just so wrong and off I dont even know where you got this idea.
I thought it's pretty easy to see the house lacks some common gaming house features. First it doesn't have a central practice room. second it is not in korea. Please give me a example of a gaming house that actually worked well and it produced actual results without first two I mentioned.
If I were spending money to improve my teams performance 1st and foremost, those two are probably the first thing I would have thought of. That's why I believe complexity didnt really put much thought into this so called gaming house.

You think of all the rooms in that house they can't make one dedicated to a practice area? C'mon man. And yeah its not in korea. So? We are trying to grow esports here in the west. coL getting a house in Korea doesn't help that and does nothing for their other games.
And the EG house has been very beneficial. Idra won 2 tournaments after being in the house. also puma was staying at the house before nasl season 2 finals which he won. he was able to be in a great practice environment and not have jetlag rather than staying in a hotel or flying from korea straight to nasl.
You act like there have been a ton of gaming houses outside korea, which their haven't been. To say this house won't increase their performance is stupid. This house will be a huge asset if used correctly, regardless of location.

me act like? no it was you who act like you knew something about me. you thought i was ranting at small room. now you just think I'm wrong and gonna prove me wrong at all cost regardless of what I point I make.
look at the pic again, the rooms are already set up with computers and furniture. maybe. maybe they will in future. but I noticed it wasn't there and pointed it out. It was my opinion based on those facts. After closer inspection of those pic, I noticed those pics are 'brochure' pics and I admit I jumped to conclusion a bit.
The EG lair. you think EG lair was successful? well ok if you think so then maybe it is. now that I think about it I guess it can be called a 'good' proving ground. However 'successful'? I think Idra and Puma winning has more to do with their original skill than the house. If MVP moves into EG house and wins, is it due to his skill or the house? Idra and Puma were winning before the house and I am skeptic how much house actually worked for them. I'm not saying it is worthless. I just think the resource could have been more little more efficiently but really I'm not here to argue with you about EG lair and cause more stir.
The point is that don't you think it would have been more beneficial if they set up a house in korea? I think so. To me it screams 'commitment' and 'excellence' at the same time. maybe you wouldn't. By the way since you mentioned that my opinion were BS and stupid, I'm going to return the favour and call yours same.
overall I feel the house is just overkill like many mentioned here. progamers need to grind at least 6-8 hrs a day to be competitive and the house looks like a frat boy's dream house just ready to party. Honestly a boat house? sure it's nice to unwind sometimes and having fun is just as much important but like I said, money could have been spent better in my opinion.
Anyways I do congratulate Complexity on partnership and command them for greater commitment to eSports.

Billionaires. Who are you to judge what a gamer deserves or not?
This does two things in my opinion:
1. It builds up the competition of what a professional gaming house environment should be like, hence the chance for other teams to have better environments to train in.
2. It shows to the world that the professional gaming world is becoming legit.
Props to Jason Lake and the coL crew, I hope other eSports organizations like coL and EG can move the needle like this.

from the pics, i'd prefer to live in the EG house, looks too antiquated for me. Oh well, i'm not going to live in either.

What's this about a 24/7 livestream? If they could rotate everyone and have a legit always-on livestream...I'd just set up a monitor in my room and leave it on all day haha. Can't wait to see more of the house.

If there is a 24/7 livestream and I get a chance to go down there I promise I'll walk around nude for at least a good 6-7 hours.

That actually sounds pretty cheap for the price. A house like that in the Toronto area would easily cost $1 million

Do you know which episode?
