Rotterdam is playing in the open bracket so isn't casting.
I'm confused why they can't let him cast after he gets knocked out of the tournament though. Can somebody explain that please?
This is nuts. Casters are paid, so you want MLG to pay for a player who might or might not be available? What if he manages to make it to Sunday?
Or are you expecting Rotti to cast for free?
There's a severe lack of logic in your thought process.
But, why would he want to just hang out with friends, drink and just enjoy the event. That is a stupid plan, he should hop right on the stream and cast right away for my entertainment. For no money, too. He should love to cast and do it every chance he gets. The only reason he should be paid is to make sure that he can afford food and not die. Seriosly, where are his standards?!
Sorry I thought him and Mr. Bitter would enjoy working together most since they are buddies and would be comfortable with that and that mlg could work a payment out for the remaining time he was available to cast. (If he becomes a caster 1/3 of the way through he gets 2/3 of what he would be payed if he was there the whole time.) If he doesn't want to cast he shouldn't and if mlg won't pay him then he doesn't have to sorry!!!
All I ask of MLG in this event and future ones is one simple thing:
DO NOT DO RANDOM CASTING DUOS!
There is a reason people like casters such as "Tastosis, Bitterdam" etc, its because they have good chemistry and are good casters, if you put something like Apollo/Tasteless its gonna be not nearly as good.
The only exception you can do is with Artosis, no matter who he is casting with, its gonna be absolutely amazing, I even think people would love Moletrap if he was with Artosis...
I understand you can't avoid it completely, but at the last MLG, we had some random casting duos that just made no sense and was just so awful.
This really is a great lineup. Good shoutcasters and good analytical casters. haven't heard apollo cast in a while, so i'm excited to see that. Positive thoughts everyone!
I like Day9. Sad he's not going to be there. I dislike TB's casting. He supposedly makes everything exciting. However, he completely falls into terrible cliches and on top of that, his attempts at analysis are terrible. Contrary to Husky, who isn't a top notch analitical caster either, but he's at least funny and spontaneous.

How dare you suggest that Mr. Bitter is not paired with random casters instead of casting in his Bitterdam combo with good chemistry. Mr. Bitter must be paired with random casters while Rotterdam enjoys the event after elimination because he must be payed for either the the whole weekend or nothing anything in between is impossible and unprofessional.
The problem is that we don't have 1 'football field' we have 40 of them, operating simultaenously for 3 days straight. 1 highly produced stream would work for a smaller event, but we feel it is a priority to get as many games broadcast as humanly possible.
I think it's great that you want to cover so much content, and I'm sure that for a small percentage of fans it means everything.
I'm just commenting that a lot of viewers will probably keep to the primary stream, and as you do a good job of keeping the more entertaining/ crucial matches on the primary stream(s), I suspect that a lot of the minor streams won't be put to good use.
I understand the logic, and I can see why you're doing things like this, I'm just putting across my view on it.

Personally A+ job MLG and I'm looking forward to watching as many games as my wife allows :D
The last few MLGs have been really good at avoiding down time IMO. But there are other ways to solve the downtime problem.
Yes, more streams is better than more downtime, but I was responding to agree with the other user in saying that I would rather have 1 or 2 really well organised, well produced streams than 7 streams with a somewhat "scattered" effect.

Also, I'm sad to see Rotterdam in the open bracket instead of casting. It almost makes me wanna see Mr. Bitter in the open bracket too.
I would like people to stop demanding to know why someone cannot show up for an event. What part of "prior engagements" is hard for these folks to understand? The man does a show 5-6 days a week and just cast a full two day event last weekend. He can't be at every event.
Honestly i am feeling that I´d rather watch Dreamhack Summer than pretty much any MLG..... i mean the caster lineup is great (if it´s the same) The players are better. there aren´t that many koreans and foreigners actually have chance of winning( Huk Naama Thorzain) And with ppl like Naniwa Sase Stephano Huk Ret and so on..... weill be attending that will be one of the greatest events EVER. Also Dreamhack is such a bigger event than MLG and alot cooler to watch.
Why can't Day[9] make money? I swear some of you are the most ridiculous socialists I've ever seen. Except the lazy gamer version, as opposed to everyone working together you believe everyone should work for you. We have no official word why Day[9] specifically won't be there. Is his fee too high? That's ok, it's a free market. MLG isn't the only event, they don't have a monopoly. Consequently there's nothing morally wrong with Day[9] asking for an amount, nor MLG not being willing to pay it. But maybe, just maybe, he has something else already going on.
LOOK at that line up of casters to cast an already amazing line-up of SCII players, AND KeSPA players! All for the low price of $7-8.50 (Gold Pass, a bit more without, $20 if you a la carte). That is less than a movie anywhere in the western world! I, I just can't fathom what is wrong with some of you. They literally get all but 4 casters on the entire planet and people flip out.
Btw, can I just please suggest something related to the casters/casting at MLG? PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEM BEHIND A CURTAIN IN A LOCKED ROOM 100 METERS AWAY FROM THE CROWD!
Seriously its much more fun when theyre part of the crowd and can see everybody etc. It's like theyre calling in from another planet when the crowd can only display them through the projector wall. ----
Cheers for taking my suggestiong into consideration :D (even though you probably have considered it already)
Tastosis and Apollo/TB? Those are like the two best casting duos in the world!!! Plus Wheat, Bitter and many others. Going to be a sick event. I just wish Day9 would go, its in his backyard pretty much sometimes I dont understand Day. He doesnt do SOTG anymore and doesnt do Arenas and now not even championsips? Confused
