Day9 also does DreamHack so it isnt a MLG only contract.. interesting. You know, it could just be that he is tired and has other plans. I know people want to make it some sort of drama, but he could just have a date that weekend. Ye that sounds right, he was talking about taking a break on twitter too.

Apollo is casting.. Are you blind?

No day9 But TOTALBISCUIT IS HERE SO GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I normally wouldn't mind that much if Day9 wasn't there if I was just watching streams, but this'll be the first big LAN I actually go to in person so I'm a little sad I won't get Day9's signature T.T haha, oh well, still gonna be a great event!

It's too bad that mvp isn't playing either but I guess there will be tons of other epic stuff like the bw league, and ofc mc/mkp in the finals :>

Will there be any guest-casting by players at all? Or post-match analysis? I find players like Grubby (<3) IdrA etc who I have seen cast a bit before to be fantastic with analysis, usually streets ahead of even the analytical casters. Really adds some meaningful insight.
Edit: Also super pumped that there will be free streams all weekend, though I might treat myself to a HD pass as its just after finals. Just putting this in again in case it was missed, I have a nasty feeling it just got buried in the torrent of shit back there.

Apollo+TB to cast semis and Tastosis to cast finals would be great. Bit sad cause of no day9, but still really good caster lineup.

Day9 fans don't really like esports or starcraft at all anyways. They just want to watch The Day9 Show.
I'm actually a bit surprised how many admit they won't even watch the best players in the world compete for a high prize pool because all they care about is watching Day9's egocentric masturbatory rambling. Hmm saying day9 ruins events is the wrong thing to say, especially here. However, I think you're right about his fake enthusiasm and his horrible teamwork casting skills. Do people really believe he really finds silly immature things so funny that he basically falls off his chair or interupts other casters with laughter? If he really does find things that funny he's a little bit off lol. "and completely bullshit improvised "analysis"" His analytical casting is very good by himself, not sure what you watched to make you think his analysis is bullshit and improvised.
I just get a little sick of how people think he's a saint because of how he acts on camera, you people don't really know him and neither do I but there has been talk in the community that he can be an asshole - not confirmed of course, just throwing in something for people to think about before they make him their idol.

I love this caster lineup, great job MLG.

The Bad: What? How are C-list casters Rob Simpson, Jorosar, Gwin, etc. invited to cast but HDStarcraft is left out?
The Ugly: No Day9 is rather unfortunate. I bet on the stream chat we'll be hearing people moan about how Day9 died all tournament weekend.
Because HDStarcraft is a D-list caster. And Ive never watched a Jorosar cast, but I liked Gwin quite a bit at th MSI battlegrounds

Sickest caster line-up of a SC2 tournament to date. Anaheim 2012 is hyped beyond hype!

thanks so much, no day9

I really hate it when people keep harping on this "fake enthusiasm." Let's be real, people are just acting all cynical to try to justify themselves in their lack of sunny disposition. It's a classic psychological process, to think "oh, he looks to be a really really fantastic human being, he must obviously be hiding something dark and evil!" to console oneself on one's own lack of pure goodness.

Can we stop arguing/speculating about why X is not here?
We have THIRTEEN casters, plus Adebisi observing, Clutch hosting, & Hwanni/Smix translating. There is no drama or conspiracy. This is our line up. We have not had the same caster line up from one event to the next...ever. Day9 was not at Providence nor at any arena event this year. Husky has not been at an event in a long time. Change, variety, and schedule juggling is just the nature of this business. There is no reason to have an uproar over this. I understand if you like *insert caster here* and would like to see him/her cast, but please stop with the drama.

Siiick with Axeltoss in the caster lineup! All casters seem good, to bad day9 had problems with mlg

Only 2 casters that have an idea what's going on in games: Apollo and Artosis. Too bad there aren't more player casters.
