and while I respect the analysis of Apollo I can't stand his voice/mannerisms, with his almost whispered excitement and "sooooooo much damage!!!" Much rather prefer the casting archon. And kind of glad Day9 isn't going to be there. Some of his more rabid fans need to open up to watching other casters, old and new. I'm excited myself to watch a few different streams with some new casters instead of just sitting and waiting for my 1 favorite caster to stream. Good times ahead.

But it proves the point that the Starcraft (2) community has their priorities wrong in terms of who is put into the spotlight. Broodwar/any other esport: Player > Team > Organizer > Caster Starcraft2: Caster > Organizer > Player > Team

Its nauseating to hear casters kiss everyone's ass and make excuses for bad decisions. We need casters to tell the truth. Accomplishments during beta are irrelevent in regards to current performances.

Let's be real, people are just acting all cynical to try to justify themselves in their lack of sunny disposition. It's a classic psychological process, to think "oh, he looks to be a really really fantastic human being, he must obviously be hiding something dark and evil!" to console oneself on one's own lack of pure goodness. I never said he was "hiding something dark and evil". And there is a difference between being enthusiastic about something and acting like you've just been stuck in a room full of laughing gas everytime you hear a joke. Most casters are very enthusiastic about what they do, you can tell, but Day[9] goes way overboard.

Anyway, its because the casters get more interaction with the fans, especially at events. You could probably count on one hand the number of players that are even remotely close to Day in popularity...

I'd have to rewatch some vods in order to offer proper examples, but here's something from Red Bull Battlegrounds that immediately stood out as random and irrelevant. The game was Thorzain vs Sheth, I believe, and Day9 suddenly started talking about how amazing Thorzain is with distributing his workers among bases. Then the observer proceeds to show Thorzain's bases, and it's immediately obvious that Thorzain just did the same thing everyone else does - got up to optimal saturation on his main/nat, and rallied his CCs to his third's minerals. He's kind of like the Paulo Coelho of sc2 casting, really good at creating an illusion of depth. Also, a friend told me Sundance hates Dutch people and that's why Rotterdam isn't casting. Damn you Sundance, so unprofessional.

I genuinely hope that everybody is trolling about speculation of why Rotterdam isn't casting. It's been mentioned so many times and thought it was general common knowledge before anyways that he would be representing ROOT in the open bracket.........
