Its been awhile coming, but we're happy to announce that we've made a new addition to the roster! Son "Sson" Suk Hee, formerly known as StarDust (M18M in BW) has joined the team! This marks the First time a KeSPA pro has joined a foreign team to my knowledge.
Sson released a statement about joining:
"Hi, I am Son Suk Hee aka M18M StarDust from KESPA Air Force ACE (Ex Samsung KHAN). First of all, I am much obliged to LighT eSports for prompt recruitment. Even if I don’t have good career yet. After military service, I am consider a wide range of possiblilities for my Life. And then I think "Let'S back to the basics and Start work with a renewed mind" so I decided go to oversea for New challenge. At that time, I set in touch with LighT eSports and talk with owner several times. As a result, I think that LighT eSports Really Awesome. I can decide join this team. I don’t have any career on SC2 now but since now I will become more and more better. Slowly but Surely. Again Thank LighT eSports for confidence and decision."
I'm pretty happy right now - Sson seems like an amazing fit to the team and he's a super nice guy. I'm confident that you'll see a lot of improvement out of him in the coming months, so keep on the lookout!
This brings our full roster to: Adrian "KawaiiRice" Kwong Patrick "Caliber" Coury Sung bin "Binski" Lee Son "Sson" Seok Hee Tilea "KnighT" Flavall Jian Fei "IefNaij" Wang Colbey "RockEr" Robinson
And be sure to check our website: http://www.lightesports.com for updates about the team, etc! Follow Sson on his quest to be the best, or follow the team on our quest to find a Zerg (lol)! Either way, enjoy guys and I'm happy right now! <3 !!

Sorry but ByuL is the first, not M18M. Nice pickup though.

TSL is the proof that race balance means nothing. It might even be the proof that more communication with your own race is more helpful than with other races.

I feel this could be the beginning of something big. Is M18M still a KeSPA licensed pro? If yes, is he legal to join a foreign team? Is the KeSPA license system dead? If yes, thing could even go big. Oh Firebathero and Iris will be retiring from military soon...
This is a really sick pickup, M18M was a beast in BW and I'm sure his skill will transfer over well to SC2, I hope to see some exciting games from him in the future, M18M vs Flash SC2 inc. ? :-D

Actually Idra was first.
And depending on how loose the interpretation of a "team" is - Firebathero can also be the first.

o_o how is TSL proof of anything?
By being an extremely strong team with an unbalanced roster.
Please keep the "Stardust" or "M181" names it is much better than Sson. We all know what happened when ForGG tried to name change to Fin. It just caused a whole bunch of confusion

He is still on the team skype chat and plays with us on occasion, but he really doesn't have the ability to practice in a good environment. SiN also plays a lot of BF3, Skyrim, etc. We will probably still use him in ESEA and other team leagues though.
Awesome pickup, but I am actually more excited by the news that JF is taking a year out of school I expect both players will be big in the near future!
I think ForGG joining Millenium is the first former Kespa player joining a foreign team. Nevertheless, looking forward to see him! Edit: ok, there were a few before ForGG. I definitely forgot Idra .

He didn't have a team after he finished his military service . First Kespa player joining a foreign team isn't actually true , but still a nice pick up by Light . M18M always had decent results in BW and SC2 even though he was in ACE .
JSON is javascript object notation. BSON is mongodb's amalgam. Sson must be starcraft object notation. I expect very structured play and an excellent API.
Stardust, while sub-par at BW, has iirc been one of the best performing kespa SC2 players, so something big might come out of this. Nice to see kespa players on the market, but I hope most of the teams stay alive and don't simply release their stronger players and then disappear.

stalife/steak decided to quit LighT in order to focus on other things, iirc. This was right before the Canadian WCS, where he won a flight to the NA championship. I do not think he is on any team at the moment.

I for one hope to see good stuff from M18M or Sson. He had an awesome sky toss play in proleague and once he goes full time SC2 I hope he can play well.
i really hope this will bring LighT up there in the top! i'd love to see some good results from LighT in the future! And i think recruiting Sson will help them practice a lot with the koreans also if i'm not mistaken?
I met that guy in Korea he was super nice and mannered I talked to him he prefers robo play pvp LOL and i knew he wanted to join a foreign team from when i talked to him nice pick up light!!
he is the first man , joining foreigner team with kespa progamer license. cuz after militaryservice , he just stand as an independent. so he do not lose kespa license.

Atm he is doing an internship in California and has not played SC2 in a few months really, don't think he even has it installed or access to a computer than can run it.

Maybe we all should push Blizzard for allowing numbers in our ID's. I saw during TSL4 that you can use underscore now in patch 1.5 (CoCa used the name SlayerS_CoCa ingame). Maybe they realized that only having letters without any punctuation available fucking sucks?

I do agree that only letters in the nickname isnt really nice... We could use plenty of characters in BW why remove it ?!

I'm excited to see how he will do at the next MLG. I remember watching replays of him all the time in BW.. Logged into NA server a few days ago; queued up and he proxy gated me! He has a very unpredictable style, which I think is pretty cool
He has one of the most impressive pvz styles ive seen. Most protosses i see struggle with the micro required in lategame pvz, but this guy just plays flawlessly. Amazing player.
Light is such a great team getting stacked cant wait to them see them destroy in team leagues and Tournaments make sure to follow them on twitter and like them on facebook to support them!
