Mindfreak expands SC2 roster with Iaguz
Mindfreak is proud to announce the acquisition of Australian Terran Ethan “Iaguz” Zugai. This expands Mindfreak's StarCraft II roster to both Iaguz and TargA with perhaps more on the way.
Iaguz has proven himself to be one of the strongest players in the South East Asian scene and one of Australia's best Terrans. He will be representing the organisation as soon as this weekend at the Blizzard World Championship Series Finals in Sydney.
The former Xeria Gaming member has a rich history in Real Time Strategy games through games like Company of Heroes and Red Alert 3. Since moving to Wings of Liberty he has been a strong performer in the local scene.
Mindfreak's SC2 manager Joachim Hofvenschiöld is excited about the expansion of the SC2 roster:
“When I first started watching the Australian StarCraft 2 scene, I only knew names like mOOnGlaDe, Legionnaire, etc. The more tournaments I followed the more players I got to know. The first time I saw Iaguz play was in the TransTasman SC2 Championship 1. I was very impressed by his game play and his micro/macro. He was definitely a guy to look out for.
But at that time Mindfreak Esports was not ready to take the step into the StarCraft 2 scene. When Mindfreak Esports decided to take the step into StarCraft 2 scene, Iaguz was already picked up by Australian organisation Xeria Gaming. But only recently Iaguz has become available and we came to an agreement. It's with a smile on my face I welcome Iaguz to Mindfreak Esports.”
