It did not take too much time since we met first time. We run a training center for professional gamers called Ministry of Win. Over the past months a lot has changed in the functioning of our house, and there is even more work ahead of us!
If we would tell you that we achieved the goal that we set and this gaming house is perfect already … it would be foolish. We are developing this project by basing on our experience and learning through the hard work that we already put in. It will take a long time till everything will be on the level that we basically expect, but the reward at the finish line is a dream come true, not only for us, but also for the players, professional gamers - we want to develop eSports and we will do it.
Who can apply?
Everyone. It doesn't matter if you are not from Poland, you are in Platinum league etc. It is all about your ambitions, however, we will choose the best possible players at this moment. After making a video don't forget to post it in this thread and send it to us at secretariat@ministryofwin.com. We will accept three players for 3 months.
What already happened?
- we have announced our first LAN event – Battle at Ministry of Win: get outplayed with 5000USD prize pool - we started our live-streaming page: twitch.tv/team/ministryofwin - we attended Business Mixer: Games Event, which selects one of three the best companies in the gaming industry (kind of a good exposure for e-sports in our country) - we had more than 15 different gamers in total
The most important things that are going to happen now:
- we are going to hire psychologists, motivators and other staff members to improve players improvement via provision of resources known for traditional sports - begin the road to total abolition of the cost of training
What needs to be in the video application?
- Introduce yourself - Tell us something about your career - What would you like to achieve? What’s your short-term and long-term goals? - Why we should choose you?
We wish you best of luck in fulfilling your dreams and we can’t wait to see a lot of applications. We are accepting them from now till 20.08, we will announce the winners at 25.08 and from 1.09 we will be accepting the players in the house.
UPDATE: We are accepting applications for another 24 hours (till 00:01 CET @22-08-2012).
We have received 78 applications in total which is a very nice score! Thanks for the interest in Ministry of Win, a lot of nice names applied. Announcement of the winners will take place on 15.00 CET @ 23.08.2012.
While I think these MoW updates happen a little too often, I'm absolutely stunned at the amount of work they're willing to put into this venture and think that if it ends up failing it will absolutely not be due to lack of effort and ambition.
The only thing I could suggest is that we don't really know why we're sending in video applications (we being the community in genearl). It seems to me like you guys are picking a player (or multiple?) to train at the MoW house for free for a set period of time, but that's not actually stated in the post. Assuming I'm right about that, are there any requirements as to who can or should apply? I mean, I'm as interested as can be about seeing where a gold level player could get with dedicated training and the resources available at the MoW's disposal, but is that what you're going for? Are you expecting mostly GM level players? Players living in or around Poland?
Just seems like the OP could use a little more info.
Good luck though, to all applicants and to the MoW in general, really, REALLY love this idea.
can you maybe mention who the players are below each picture? would be interesting to know
in my opinion the ministry of win concept is really great but you guys do a not so good job marketing it and the players involved imo. noone even knows who exactly is even there^^ today for example I found out Fuzer is there, which I find interesting :D
this topic is so outdated.. it says only Snute and Cytoplasm are there lol
a full current list of who is there rightnow would be good .. I think:D
House roster Right know we are happy to play host to the following players: - Jens GL.Snute Waller-Asgaard - Jonas Ai.Cytoplasm Larsson - Maciej Breathe Leśniak - Christoph Wilko Wilkowiecki - Joseph Resq Millard - Giovanni Evaner Finizio - Timothee SonG Cynober - Rudi Nimitz Breaun - Steven ROOT.Destiny Bonnell II - coming soon - Nicolaj GL.Nocitimus Jacobsen - coming soon
btw I am going to florida to visit my Oma and Opa for 2 weeks but I will be bringing my pc and will be on about 8 at night to 1 or 2 ish in the morning, and I will have my phone so I can check emails and teamliquid.

I get the feeling that someone with a great personality/something to offer even in like gold would be accepted.
I think a daily or weekly vlog with a lower level player on what they did for the day, how they're working, etc. would probably bring them a lot of exposure and be extremely worthwhile in general. Doesn't necessarily mean they'll go with non-GM players, but it's possible.
And with Sage going there at some point, I think they'll learn even more about how the KR teamhouse method works, and be able to utilize it to improve.
While I like the CoL/Quantic/EG houses, I think this is the first that really has a chance to improve upon teamhouses in general. It's a lot of effort and a lot of money and I don't know if there will be much reward, but there will be a lot learned.

Stop beating around the bush.
A new post every other week, and at times multiple posts saying the same thing is a bit much. There is such a thing as overexposure.
And beating around what bush? I think this statement you bolded is pretty self explanatory. I like the other team houses, I think this is doing it better.
desrow should definitely get in. He seemed the thirve in the korean gomhouse and has improved so much since then! he has the perfect attitude for getting better/laddering for long periods. Should definitely give it to this guy, he gives so much back to the community too

I think he means stop beating around the bush in that it's clear that this "hypothetical" gold player is yourself.

Desrow didn't start any drama with Lastshadow. I believe it's been established that Lastshadow was harassing Desrow for a long period of time until any human would of snapped back. I don't recall any drama with Maximusblack other then coaching him for a week at his house.

Re: Lastshadow, Maximusblack... to be continued...
Given what I saw at Day9's event, heard from players who have lived with him, what I gather from Desrow's side of the story, and from what I've seen on his stream, I really think Lastshadow was the one to blame for that incident.
I think Des would be a reasonable choice for MoW because he's already self-motivated (both in SC2 and personally i.e dieting), so I feel that putting him in the right environment wouldn't be very high risk for a return on investment.

This. Can we please stop goin' on about this past event? All people saw was the background of someone's stream. No one but the people there no exactly what happened. And there has already been several threads about this. This really needs to stop becomin' the case. And what was the "drama" with MaximusBlack and desRow? From my interpretation everythin' went smoothly durin' that week of coachin'. If there was anythin' big it obviously didn't hit TeamLiquid forums.
Also to the OP. This seems to be lackin' a lot of information people would need.
First. When you said stay at the Ministry of Win for free, does that mean you pay airfare to send people overseas. Does that cover meals. Second. When would this begin? If applicants aren't bein' accepted until early January a lot of people would most likely be exempt due to school. Third. What is a typical schedule like? You showed us a bit of the house and it seems there would obviously be meal times, work out times, trainin' times. How strict of a schedule is it.
There is a lot of missin' information that people need. Also may I ask why a video application? I guess it helps identify with people more so you recognize them if they get accepted, but why not require a written application then get a photo/video interview later when you start to pick people?
I think Desrow should get into MOW. He is a talented player with serious potential to go far in SC2 and will be an asset to any team with his personality and large fan base on TwitchTV. Desrow Fighting <3
GIVE DESROW A SPOT!!! man works his ass off everyday to become a better player and has a big following, would be stupid to not let him live in a gaming house as he has had experience doing it for months before! :D pandatossFIGHTINGGGG
I'd love to see desrow get in. As a fan its been really awesome seeing his improvement over the past few months and think he'd gain a lot from a good training environment
I think Desrow really deserves to be one of the 3 that gets into MoW! He has improved a lot lately, he has a good attitude and likes to work and practice with other players in a real life setting. He has a lot of fans pulling for him, and streams a lot so will be good exposure for Ministry of Win.
I know Ministry of Win is probably looking for players who will improve markedly during their stay there, becoming examples for other players and sponsers that the house is doing its job. In my opinion Desrow is a perfect fit for Ministry of Win, with those goals in mind. I hope he is chosen as one of the 3.
After watching Desrow's NASL qualifier games tonight I think he has some good potential under a gaming house such as MOW. He is progressing well over the most recent weeks/months.

Hi ranged, nice application. the video is gray because xsplit is bad at doing local recording. What I used to do to fix this was smile like a retard for 20second and cut the beginning with youtube editor. Now a days I record with fraps and edit with vegas. Sadly you can't record with xsplit and edit it in vegas because the type file that xsplit gives you doesn't work in vegas. At least for me ^^ GLHF!

I agree. Me and lastshadow are a lot more friendly now. We made the "peace" during the bootcamp with maximus and it's been a really good thing for me. Holding grudges is unhealthy I know drama is fun but you should watch degrassi or gossip girl 2 great TV shows :D

Degrassi such an awesome show ;3
didn't think i'd see desrow/ranged applying o; gl!
I really think Desrow should get the spot. He works so hard and you can tell he puts a lot of effort in it. This will help him a lot for his future as an aspiring progamer. By the way I loved the video.
I think from all the players who applied so far RaNgeD should be the obvious choice. He plays at a pretty high level already but is rather unknown for his skill level. RaNgeD also proved he has the discipline and work ethic to play in such an environment. I remember when he was in Romania the last time he played a fuckload of games and all that while he was alone in the house most of the time. In the mow environment he would be even more motivated to play.
I don't know exactly how good desrow is but looking at his EU account he has around 1600 points with a ton of games played.... that's pretty bad actually considering he plays full-time for so long now and even was in Korea. I even feel like relative to other players desrow became a little worse after Korea over time but maybe that is just my impression. People might say it is just ladder but lets be honest, there is a reason why 1 player has 300 points less on ladder than someone else etc. Thatswhy I don't believe that he has a lot more potential to grow as it seems that he is trying hard already but fails at becoming even close to top foreigner standards for a very long time now. But I guess picking desrow for the exposure would be a good choice as he has a rather big fanbase if mow is interested in that.
Will be interesting to see who else applies. I think for the ministry of win it would be the best to pick 3 players who are really good and have a rather small fanbase for how good they are but have a lot of potential to grow. Thinking someone like Bischu/Naama would be a good choice and I can imagine them applying. Or maybe players who used to be great but who are not doing that great rightnow compared to how they used to be, MorroW/Strelok/SjoW maybe. It would be very good for mow if a player who was always considered "ok" by the community suddenly becomes a monster after a couple of months.

I've had success on NA ladder but not on EU. I agree that if you look at my EU account it doesn't look too good but i've also been doing well in showmatches and tournaments here and there. People who watch me see the progress, my EU ladder account just doesn't show it for now. http://sc2ranks.com/us/443514/ECdesRow
I respect your opinion tho ^^ And I don't think I was better while in Korea.
Great initiative from Ministry of Win. Here's my application!

I mean perfect in terms of the location and ithe economical structure. It lies in the very heart of Europe and the prices are relatively low compared to the big western / northern economies - and despite being located in Poland, this is, no doubt, an international project targeted at players of any nationality. Poland is a modern country, Warsaw is a huge city and yet sustaining the project here is much easier than it would be in western or eastern Europe. It's first of its kind as well, so working out a decent sponsorship deal shouldn't be much of a problem either. Yes, the country is beautiful, but if you're looking for pleasing aesthetics a big city is not the place to go to - in Poland or otherwise.

He is not in Korea, he came back a little while ago.
However, I will say that when Desrow wants something he has a childish greed... thus why you see so many of his streamers roll in here singing their praise... as he rallies his "pandawans"
Just ask MaximusBlack ~:O (i.e. MaximusBlack joins Quantic Gaming thread turning into Desrow whining about how he wasn't paid fairly resulting in the thread having to be closed.... what a ridiculous platform to unveil drama in which he is now shying away from... probably stemming from jealousy that Maximus got onto a real team (even as a media personality) while he remains solo.)
Probably best to not ask Maximus though, as he was trying to keep their drama private until Desrow self-destructed on himself and made a fissy pit... and it seems the drama has passed... but definitely a bad mannered move on Desrow's behalf.

I disagree. There's no better judges than my fans who watch my stream 5-8-10hours a day. They want the best for me and they wouldn't write if they didn't think that I deserved this opportunity.

Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about.
desrow politely asked if he didn't think he deserved more money after the bootcamp. And he apologized for things that went sour between them during bootcamp.
Then it was settled in private, he was given some extra.
Then, Jeff writes this himself, for no reason in his reddit/quantic post:
"... Another thing about Desrow coaching, a lot of things happened between us that I felt I was extremely mistreated. I didn't want to go public about it because I didn't want to do Desrow like that as I felt he did to me(nor was it anyone business was resolved between us in a good manner) So I will take that role as a bad guy one more time."
making a victim of himself, portraying desrow as a bad person, but still claiming it was settled in good manner. Then I see no reason why Jeff would make himself a victim, claiming he's being called the "bad guy" (again?) and he openly says desrow mistreated him, bringing it up at the same time he even writes that it has been settled in private.
Of course desrow will tell people his side. And people are raging for him saying what they "settled". It was settled a long time ago, his post on the quantic thread wasn't a plea for anything.
Mythix.
(sorry if I sounded Jeff offensive I love him, it's the people running their mouth at the incident I can't stand)
EDIT: PS I wish people would stop bringing this up in both streams and random posts, I watch both of them every day and sub both of them, Jeff and Marc both tells people it's been settled so stop the drama :D
EDIT II: I won't post any more becaue it's a waste of space, but feel free to PM me if anyone wants to discuss stuff.
Please not desrow. I don't like desrow or maximus black so their drama doesn't concern me, but their are probably 100 other players better qualified for this position. I'd actually love to see xenocider go but he's not 18. He's so good at such a young age that i think if he went to the ministry of win(if his parents even would allow him) he could have an extremely successful career in pro gaming.

And he has no solid results. Its a shame but i really think he should call it quits, i commend him for trying, but if your practicing like the pro's and your not with the pro's, theres not much to say.

who r u to tell someone to quit? shut it man... grow up a little.
I'm gonna go to college to study psychology and nueroscience among other things, do you think that in about 2 years you guys could set up internships for this?
you really have about 50 applicants? this is crazy, im amazed that so many people are able to apply for something like this. Am i right in thinking this will be a proper gaming house? so people will play all day, with SC2 as their job?
how are there so many people who are able to commit to something like this? do these people just sit and play SC2 all day atm without making money off it?
btw im not trying to be a dick or a troll, im genuinely curious. Id love to do something like this, but i have a job and a family and a house to sustain - are all these people just living with parents and getting no income?

also GO DESROW ♥
Uhm, anybody single person with a dead-end job renting a place (likely a room) can apply for this, namely, young men. (the most likely candidate for such a position)
Its not hard to just quit your shitty job, tell your landlord your leaving and go. and be in the same position when you get back as long as you have adequate money to survive on / friends.
ALSO, i never told desrow to quit and i wont "shut it and grow up a little" i was merely reading into his attempts at being successful, he clearly wants it so good luck to him, but judging by your 9 post count, well..yeah

I disagree. There's no better judges than my fans who watch my stream 5-8-10hours a day. They want the best for me and they wouldn't write if they didn't think that I deserved this opportunity.
I think it's better to let the MOW-people decide who they see as the fittest candidates themselves, rather than trying to turn the thread into a voting booth. Random outsiders shouldn't be able to influence them, and if they did it wouldn't be fair to the other applicants.

On August 18 2012 04:48 NewbieOne wrote: I have one question: how the heck did you guys pull that off in Poland? I need to pick my jaw up from the desk.
Poland is, like, the perfect location for a venture of this kind.
is Poland a beautiful place?
I was more surprised about the fact that: 1) A monetarily sufficient sponsorship deal was able be made in Poland (but I guess as long as you can find sponsors, it doesn't really matter where the training house is located, the sponsors don't need to be affiliated with the Polish society much), 2) Yeah, the climate/mentality doesn't seem to be great for gaming in Poland. As a lawyer and translator (I changed fields at some point), I've always tried to bring my gaming affiliation into light and combat the stereotypes but they still seem to be strong, as in gaming is something for children, "kidults", young males who don't grow up.
...On the other hand, if you're doing something imaginative, innovative, that doesn't harm anybody but can actually make your town or city (or village ) more recognisable, Poland is the last society to give you trouble with that. After all, we've got several centuries of tradition of being welcoming and accommodating.
For the record, let me know if you need a translator or interpreter, I could help you with that (free of charge) and would be happy to do so. Myself, I specialise in Polish<>English written translation but I know some solid people, including dedicated interpreters and translators working with different European languages. Could recommend a law firm or tax consultancy too for that matter.
desRow would get my vote. not only would it be good for him, it would raise your profile as well as he is an immensely popular and experienced streamer (and a very good player xD)

There is no real Liquid house per se. However, it is true that a lot of Liquid members and friends rent a house together in Korea, along with HuK and Supernova. It is not paid for or owned by the team though directly though.

If you're going to shit on a player it helps to know what you're talking about. He beat Machine and some EU GM girl (veralyn or something along that line) in showmatches within the past month. Made ro16 NASL 4 Qualifier 1 and beat Suppy in Qualifier 2 only to get taken out by SeohyeonLight 2-1 in the next round, which I believe was ro32
EDIT: ro16 not ro8 and fixed the spelling of Seohyeon

Seems kinda lame though I'm sure if he really wanted to he could go to Korea for any amount of time like tlo.
EDIT lol didn't want to sound whiney btw I <3 ret and if he is picked he will do great.

As much as I love Ret, it would be cool and interesting to see if and how a high master or even low Grandmaster player would develop in the house. It would be a huge success for the house is they birthed the next big player from a "nobody". ! But having Ret come to the house is big exposure for it too... decisions :|

Usually it does cost 600 € per month (all-inclusive) but with this contest right here 3 players get the chance to live in the house for free for three months.
I will say that for some reason, when I'm alone with a camera, no one is watching and I'm talking to a camera, I feel really awkward and nervous. No idea why. As long as someone is in the room, or over skype or w/e talking to me I'm fine. Basically this whole thing is me really nervous and the best take. I also only had access to crappy equipment so I apologize for any bad video/audio quality.

Well, I've sent the application a few days ago already, but since a lot of people seem to also post it in this thread I'll do so too First video I've recorded of myself ever and also had that Xsplit problem, so sorry about the quality :3
Looking at how many famous people applied I guess there is close to no chance to get accepted, but trying won't hurt me I guess
Seems to me people think only the tip top players should be applying and using the house. Whats wrong with no names trying to use this service to improve, these people arguably would benefit from this service a lot.

Agreed, I think picking up big names who already have the backing of teams and supporters shouldn't be the goal of this. I feel they should be picking 3 no name players who are up and coming. But as a business point of view, obviously picking the most well known 3 players will benefit the house more than 3 unknowns.
We are accepting applications for another 24 hours (till 00:01 CET @22-08-2012).
We have received 78 applications in total which is a very nice score! Thanks for the interest in Ministry of Win, a lot of nice names applied. Announcement of the winners will take place on 15.00 CET @ 23.08.2012.

Really hope they take you major I always feel that with the right enviroment you could become a top terran. And it would be nice to see yoou compete in all the EU cups. Saying that I hope Ret and MajOr get chosen
i HOPE they pick no-names as i think it would be awsome for people getting litle to no support, get a bit of it so they can actually stand a chance at progressing and getting known.
however, from a business perspective, they want the big name applicants for obv reasons like easier marketing/proof that their shit works/etc... but idk people on teams are already being given the support needed for them to play full time, if they cant get any better while already being given the support/time needed to focus solely on practicing, maybe they should give someone else a chance.
Best of luck to Desrow and Ret! I think both are genuine & honest SC2 players that are not afraid to identify their weakness but work hard to step up their personal goals. I do think Desrow deserves this spot the most, quite simply because Ret already has a lot of experience and gameplay knowledge, which makes it harder for him to get on an even higher level. But then again this is only relative to the other players on the team.
Some just don't seem to give much about the way they present themselves. Even though they are great players. It's a shame they don't put in that much effort and decide to throw together a quick video , forgive me if this isn't the case but it looks like it at some times.
Desrow Fighting!! Desrow would be a great choice if you are looking for someone willing to give everything. He streams and practices regularly, give back to his fans by helping them improve their understand and knowledge of Starcraft. Desrow bring excitement to the game and entertainment to his fans. He is willing to put himself on the line over and over again to improve his game play and bring new fans to the SC2 scene. Pick him and you will see what kind of a beast he can be given the chance and proper training environment.

Agree 100% but its biznes .. sponsors etc .. . I think they gonna pick two know players and one no name. TL is sponsored by razor , MoW to ,so .. its natural to have Ret there ;P

I'd put my money on Ret for sure. The other, I have no idea.
I just can't see Desrow being picked due to the dramatics that seem to follow this dude around every time he does anything. If it was just one incident, a chance could be taken, but since it seems these issues happen everywhere he goes, I feel it would be detrimental to the training environment to have him there.

Good luck to everyone, who really dreams of living there. Seems to be a very good chance, to improve and feel what an professional environment is, especially for the ones with no big team on their names.
Do you mean the whole house or just these three free spots? The wholse house right now obviously gets some if not all income from the fee the players pay. These free spots can simply be investment into marketing.
If the house is succesfull in getting players good enough to get exposure they can get sponsors for the house. Players would advertise them as they do sponsors of their team (could obviously be a a lot of conflicting sponsors, but players with huge sponsors wouldn't need a house such as this most of the time).
Sponsors of the house also get exposure from the tournaments they run, streams of the players etc.
This is all speculation btw, I am in no way affiliated with them
theres no way Ret should get a place here. Hes a well established pro player whose career is just fine atm, this should be given to someone who really needs the break, and would benefit ALOT from it. Rets already a high level player, hes hardly gonna get to the next step in this kind of house imo

In my opinion, they should give a chance to someone who's already shown to have big talent, other than someone who could, maybe in 5-6 months, win a playhem daily.. If we think on a broader scale, we don't need more foreign progamers, we need the ones we have to become much better, in order to be able to compete with koreans. Let Ret join for esports, let a mediocre guy join for another mid level grandmaster.

And if someone shows more talent then someone who is known already like Ret? Maybe there is someone out there who just needs the right environment to progress to this level where progamer are or even to korean level? I think, gamer like Ret have their chances and environment to progress and a team house like this is for people who have the talent but are unkown needs to be forwarded.

There are many good points here... I think Ret would do better in a practice house environment; though truthfully at his skill level I believe for him to get any higher it would need to be in Korea. He is just as good, if not better than most foreigners on any given day. I'm all for Ret getting in if it will help his game(it will just for the fact he will be practicing more). I just think for him to climb over a skill "plateau?" he will need to do it where he would be challenged more often then he would in NA or EUR.
Have you tried living in a gaming house in Korea? Ret tried it several times and found it not working for him. Naniwa discussed in his real talk video as well how lonely it was.
I think a training house in the western world could definitly help Ret raise to the next level. He needs a better training enviroment but he does not seem to be suited to live in Korea, so ministry of win could be an awesome fit.
Before I decide whether I'd prefer to see someone like ret or an unknown in the house, I'd be interested in practice methods like if they will do inhouse stuff and if ret would be happy to join in with it. If yes then he would be an amazing help for the others, but since it might not benefit ret as much I can kind of imagine he wouldn't, and perhaps a lesser known player would benefit a lot more..

As I've said before, Naniwa isn't really the best example of how living in Korea is for players. Look at Huk, TLO, Jinro. They love living in Korea. I think it just comes down to the environment you live in. Naniwa had it pretty bad. He only had Sase around. Of course you'd get lonely. Naniwa is also infamous for alienating himself from other people as well.
Ret having issues living in Korea probably has to do with the type of person he is. If he is not comfortable there for whatever reason then so be it. Some players like to be closer to home(i.e.Sheth). I think the MoW is closer to home for him and it suits him better in that aspect; but I stand by my opinion of Ret needing to be in Korea to really reach the level he desires. All the best sc2 players are there, it's hard to argue against it especially if your goal is to be the best.

Well considering this is not only a training facility for players who are not known i fail to see your point. A player with Ret's XP could be vital for lesser experienced players, also i would like to see if Ret could find the motivation to really "try" to stay focused on the game. In the end your not dealing with a perfect player like you make him sound he is, there is room for improvements specialy on the mental and motivation aspect.

I completely agree the mental and motivational aspect as well as the impact Ret would have on other players. My point was about Ret's** game in general and Korea. There is no "perfect" player and I'm not saying that about Ret(at least it's not meant to sound that way, my apologies if it does). You would need to read the prior posts to see my point.
Cutting it a bit close ? You bet ! Our first video rendered improperly so our second attempt literally finished rendering 14 minutes before the deadline and then of course there's the time it takes for it to upload to youtube... Our hearts were pumping like mad.
Please note that We've first taken the time to send the e-mail to MoW to be sure it would get there on time and that email was sent about 8 minutes ago.
Also we had to add gameplay video hastily because the video quality on my webcam looked terrible when in fullscreen; there was just no other option. For that reason i grabbed 7 replays i could find quickly and we made a video out of whatever was "best" about them. We didn't pick through hundreds of replays to find the best moves.
Please note that 6:57KR is exactly 23:57 CET :D
P.S. Many many thanks to Joe Eastham of Quantic Media who made this video in such a short time. You may follow him @JoeeGaming on twitter.
I really wonder who will get picked. I expect the top names.. All though I feel that Ret should not be picked (he already got a team, if he really wants it he should convince them to get him to their korean house). Excited to see the end result.

Team liquid doesn't have a team house. TLO, huk, Jinro, Supernova (and hero?)live together. This is a private arrangement and btw there is only one/(two) liquid player(s) living there.
Just a nobody applying. Hopefully it's not as awkward going through the video as it was making it for me. I'm expecting negative comments from people, because it's what naturally happens, so bring it on! haha
Anyways, hopefully I get selected.
Why expect negative comments ? Your video was rather interesting to watch. Good luck with this
Archon's application: I am unable to present a video application as I do not have access to a camera at this time. Hopefully I will still be considered a candidate nonetheless.
What needs to be in the video application?
- Introduce yourself Hi, I'm Kyle 'Archon' Fishlock. I am 22 and from North America. I have years of competitive gaming experience spanning from SC BW, WC3, C+C, CS, Q2, UT, etc. I am a Protoss player that streams on Team Liquid and a strong contender from within SC2.
- Tell us something about your career I started my sc2 career at the game release and have consistently played at a high level. I reached rank 1 diamond during the first season and rank 1 master at the time of that league's release. At the peak of my ladder experience I was fighting against top 50 GM players though I was never able to secure a spot in GM league due to my "casual" play. I have been in numerous competitive gaming teams including Revoki, Pi Centuri and now Metagaming.
- What would you like to achieve? What’s your short-term and long-term goals? I am already a known streamer on Team Liquid scoring points for the Protoss fans and have exposure in NY due to several LANs. My short-term goal is to improve as a player and meet new friends and my long-term goal is to increase my exposure as a professional SC2 player and consistently do well enough to gain invites into reputable tournaments. - Why we should choose you? Experience and skill aside, I have the best personality on the block. I am very social and easy to get along with and I feel those are important characteristics to have on a team. I am very goal-oriented and driven. I can guarantee you that if I am presented with this opportunity I will make the most of it and give it my all because one day I will be at the top and playing for North America. This will just speed things along.

This shit right here, MoW you should take this kid, I would.
Nice video man, good luck!
p.s. EDIT: where did you get the glasses, I'm keen for a pair
To be honest, the story behind this pair of glasses is... I visited my cousin in Vegas a long time ago when I was struggling with life and wanted to join the military, He invited over to Vegas because he wanted to talk to me about the decision since he's been to Iraq and seen the atrocities of the war. He is now a very successful person with his own construction company (he makes a lot of money- just one way to measure success). He was a REALLY simple and kind person. So I decided to get a pair of glasses just like him. Got it at K-Town where I live, optics insurance covered most of it- paid 50 out of pocket.

It was SOOOO awkward for me because I had no clue what to say. I made several scripts and read off them before I decided to throw it all away and say whatever I had in mind. I usually dont lack confidence, but I had didn't have much confidence in this video, haha.

Gets my vote! Gogogogogogo~~~~~ Seems very nice, modest, and focused on improving.
