I recognize your point about this article being somewhat redundant, but ESFI has a scoop and they want to share it, and I don't see a reason to close pretty relevant news, this seems like a further confirmation of what we've all suspected. That's definitely a fair statement however I still think it's pretty disrespectful for people to make a brand new thread titled EG SIGNS STEPHANO.. just based off a link from efsiworld "sources". There was already a thread where people were speculating that he was joining based on him being at the EG lair etc. etc. I wonder if the reaction from people woulda been the same if it was Teamliquid who were signing a new player and people started making all these posts with grandoise titles. Guess people just love to hate on EG.

Their like the only team that makes sure all their players/sponsors get exposure, teamliquid does it as well. Other foreign teams do (no offense to them) shitty jobs in promoting their players, their streams, their sponsors compared to EG/teamliquid.

As for the tournament results you cite, you have to consider that EG sends nearly all their players to every big tournament. More opportunity means a better chance to get a good result. Especially when you take into account seeding. Also, speaking frankly, WCS USA, WCS UK, Samsung European Encounter weren't big tournaments. I don't think there's a curse. I just think Koreans have been playing in more tournaments. Stephano can compete with the Koreans, so I don't think we'll see a drop with him.

I wouldn't have even made a big deal out of it.. but honestly TL rules about posting threads and topics are usually so strict that it just baffles me when they pick and choose to enforce said rules..

If someone hates a team, they will selectively pick data and distort results to make a point. + Show Spoiler + Likewise, fans will also distort data to make their teams look good, so the sword does cut both ways.
