As for the tournament results you cite, you have to consider that EG sends nearly all their players to every big tournament. More opportunity means a better chance to get a good result. Especially when you take into account seeding. Also, speaking frankly, WCS USA, WCS UK, Samsung European Encounter weren't big tournaments. I don't think there's a curse. I just think Koreans have been playing in more tournaments. Stephano can compete with the Koreans, so I don't think we'll see a drop with him. Well there haven't been that many other big tournaments in the past six months, and these guys have also done decently well throughout their EG careers (certainly about as well as most other players on foreigner teams/ outside of Korea), even winning some of the very biggest tournaments (and otherwise placing well in them). It's just kind of annoying when people generalize and say that EG players- as a golden rule- go from hero to zero. Players have their ups and downs.

In fact, I would say not one of Idra, WhiteRa, Nony, Huk or Ret have slumped. Once in a while a player is tired at a tournament or doesn't practice for a few weeks before, but I don't think that's what you mean by a slump. Taking WhiteRa for example, he's much, much better than he was when he was competing at a global level a year and a half ago. If he "regained old form," he'd only get worse. He can't compete with the best players in the world, and the best players in the world attend most of the big tournaments in high numbers. It's no coincidence that all foreigners start "slumping" when more and more Koreans come to their tournaments. Most foreigners aren't improving as fast as Koreans. Maybe the reason they could beat them before and not now is because the fabled "infrastructure" is kicking in.

"money money money, everywhere people look at us as if we were money. But there is one place which accepts me for human - the bank of <insert bank name here>" Wonder how EG is going to help him improve or practice? He is bettern than any EG player. How can you improve if you practice vs weaker opponents? I see him on stream playing vs demuslim, machine... thats not direction for improvement. He is on a level where he should practice vs strong koreans to improve fruther.

When it says the value of the deal is 8000 per month, does this mean his salary/wage? So he gets $8000 per month? If so, that is HUGE

Either way, I assure you they are taking something. It is NOT just Korean teams that take money from players; at least percentages. Oh boy... you are severely misinformed.
