Really hoping he performs in EG.
I mean I love IdrA, HuK, and to a lesser extent ThorZaIN but... It's been a while since I've seen them landing deep in tournaments.

Stephano wins tournaments, Idra doesn't. I'd invest in the guy who wins shit over the guy who doesn't every single time. You certainly don't get football teams signing players for 40million dollars saying "hmm, this guy was caught fucking his bast mates girlfriend, lets hire the guy whos not as good but didn't fuck his best friends girlfriend".
Business doesn't work like that. When you are the best, you can get away with pretty much anything you like. If destiny were the best foreigner, his sponsors would "look the other way" when he says or does something stupid.... but since he isn't the best he doesn't get away with it. When stephano got put in the drunk tank, did his team get an e-mail spam thwon at them to drop him from the team? hell no. Everyone laughed about how stupid Stephano looked and then MOVED on because he is the best and who cares if he likes to get drunk... hes young, thats what young people do.

This was posted in the previous ???Stephano to EG??? thread a few weeks ago: EG's placements in the top 10 of tournaments over the past 6 months, all players part of the team. HuK: 9th 05-27-2012 Red Bull Battlegrounds, 4th 03-25-2012 MLG Winter Championship, 3rd 02-26-2012 MLG Winter Arena Puma: 3rd 02-25-2012 Assembly Winter, 2nd 03-10-2012 IEM 6 World Championship, 6th 06-10-2012 MLG Spring Championship Thorzain: 1st 07-28-2012 WCS Sweden Idra: 4th 06-10-2012 WCS USA DeMuslim: 2nd 07-01-2012 WCS UK, 2nd 08-19-2012 Samsung European Encounter JYP: 5th 03-10-2012 IEM 6 World Championship, 4th 03-19-2012 Red Bull LAN Orlando 2012, 10th03-25-2012 MLG Winter Championship And this is *just* the past six months, and *just* the big tournaments :-) I think it's fair to say that players have not performed on EG as well as they did before they were on EG. As for the tournament results you cite, you have to consider that EG sends nearly all their players to every big tournament. More opportunity means a better chance to get a good result. Especially when you take into account seeding. Also, speaking frankly, WCS USA, WCS UK, Samsung European Encounter weren't big tournaments. I don't think there's a curse. I just think Koreans have been playing in more tournaments. Stephano can compete with the Koreans, so I don't think we'll see a drop with him. name a single foreigner that never slumps a single one and dont say stephano since hes been around for not that long, a veteran like IdrA and White Ra and nony and HuK and Ret Cant forget Jinro, Who reached GSL Code S Ro4 TWICE, was considered the best foreigner at the time and where he is now ? oh yeah, he retierd, winning almost nothing the past six month before he did. Liquid Curse anyone ? That's only one player. Liquid Haypro Liquid Nony Liquid TLO if it wasnt for Ret and there Koreans TL wouldnt be doing good at all at least EG is trying to invest in foreigners instead of jsut buying Koreans PUMA

Still a very nice salary though. This means HuK's rumoured "six figure" salary is false. well since 8k per month works out to 96k per year its not really hard to imagine that huk made 9k per month which would bring him over the 100k line and thus a 6 figure salary. Because a 6 figure salary means that in a year you earn over 100k, not per month. I realize that. What I'm saying is that Stephano is (most likely) the highest paid player on EG right now, and therefore HuK isn't making six figures. tahts a leap big enough to cross the atlantic if anyone is making the biggest salary its IdrA since he has the biggest fan following (probably) of any pro, aside from this month has always had the msot popular stream (or a very very close second) was the only foreiner still palying to survive kespa and has the second best GSL results for any foreigner just looking at who they can make the most money out of its definently IdrA, even his kingston commercials is everyones favourite There's no way idra is making more than stephano. IdrA brings there sponsors money Stephano throws up and gets put in a drunk tank whos the better investment? no matter how you look at it sponsors would prefer to give IdrA money over stephano Stephano wins tournaments, Idra doesn't. IdrA palces well at tournaments he plugs the sponsors he has more fans then stephano hes got the more popular stream he has more presence hes on shows he casts IdrA is far more marketable then Stephano he is a much much bigger asset then stephano
Idra has won many tournaments as well lol. Obviously not this year but towards the end of 2011 he won 3 big ones I hope he can win again soon ^_^.
